I've just completed a playthrough of Mass Effect 2 recently, and just finished playing through Lair of the Shadow Broker again. I'm curious which squadmate you all like to bring with for the final confrontation?
This time around I'm brought Thane. On previous playthroughs somehow I missed that when Thane talks about his wife's murder at the hands of Batarian mercs, that he mentions that the Batarian mercs learned his identity thanks to information they purchased from the Shadow Broker. That gives him a personal stake in eliminating the current SB, since he was an accessory in his wife's murder. That, and since the objective of that final mission is to assassinate the Shadow Broker bringing a professional assassin along seemed like a good idea. I like that the Shadow Broker's dialogue acknowledges that as well. "You travel with fascinating companions, doctor. Bringing an assassin along was shrewd, T'Soni. I'll give Mr. Krios' son my regards."
On a side note, in the frequent discussion on the BSN about the soundtacks of all three games, LotSB deserves a lot more mention. The soundtrack for LotSB is as fantastic as the rest of the DLC.
Two of the best tracks in the trilogy, IMO:
The Shadow Broker
Battle Theme
If I remember correctly, in my first playthrough of LotSB I brought to the final confortation Legion, and on my second playthrough I brought Garrus or Grunt (don't really remember who it was).
And I also like those tracks, but I dont consider them to be my favorites, that title is granted to other tracks like 'Vigil' from ME1 and 'I Was Lost Without You'. I give the big sad, quiet soudtracks credit to ME. For battle music I think there are games with better ones like Skyrim for example.

With Tali he says something like, "I'm suprised you brought the Quarian, doctor. Her supposed leadership on Haestrom got her entire squad killed."

Someone hug me.
Anyway, to the subject in question; I usually bring either Zaeed, Garrus or Jack. There's a video compilation of it here, but I think Morinth is excluded.

I just can't with the BSN forums sometimes. Now there have been multiple people - in earnest - suggesting that Liara is some sort of twisted predator who abuses your trust in the gift scene to sexually molest you and impregnate herself with your kids against your will..
The BSN likes to exaggerate character traits, especially when it comes to female characters. So for the same reason that Ashley gets called a bible-thumping racist Liara gets accused of being some sort of stalker. The irony is that if Shepard romances Liara in the first game and then is with someone else in the second, she handles it far more maturely than most real women would. She also doesn't hold grudges if Shepard breaks it off with her. So much for being a stalker...
The very notion that the gift scene is Liara getting impregnated is fairly ridiculous as well, even when romanced. The scene is nothing more than how it is described by Liara herself: a traditional farewell gift exchanged by Asari with very close friends, family, or lovers. Nothing more, nothing less.

Anyway, cool video! I saw it a while ago and I liked it..

I know! It's rather predictable, isn't it? Ah, well, c'est la vie.

@MidnightRaith, I'm sorry to read about your 360, I think I would go crazy, if my PC broke down pre DLC release. >.<
Thanks, guys. It's still a source of moderate irritation for me that I can't play the third game yet, but I am at least consoled by finding that PC gaming is eons better than console. My God, everything is faster, runs better, looks nicer. Many more buttons to do everything. Do you have any idea how much better it is to have a power menu rather than an irritating wheel?

What funny is that back in the day when I bought my 360, I had a really (and I mean REALLY) bad computer, that couldn't even run Team Fortress 2 without crashing. Since then I bought a 1K euro computer that can run everything, but all my games are on my 360, so it'll be stupid to buy them again for the PC =/

I…am not sure about the first time, actually. Oh, wait, yes I am. Grunt.
Canonically, Eevy takes Garrus — with the rest of the squad running interference. He can be trusted with the info.

Yay blue babies! Although I canoned it so that asari need to be at least around 150 to conceive without complications.
The only good thing about the EC, I think, is that I won’t need to even consider changing my delicate shadowdance around the ending in “Unity”.

Although I've never brought Tali along on that mission I have seen clips on youtube where people have. Bringing her along is kind of interesting in that I believe it is the only character choice that the Shadow Broker specifically insults. With the others he seems to be impressed in some way.
With Tali he says something like, "I'm suprised you brought the Quarian, doctor. Her supposed leadership on Haestrom got her entire squad killed."
That's a downer.
Well, looks like everyone's gonna be on the same timer for EC.

That's a downer.I don't think she was specifically given command of the squad that accompanied her. Reegar or somebody else had the ball.
Well, looks like everyone's gonna be on the same timer for EC.
I never really understood that as well. It would make sense of Tali was in charge of the scientist, but how about having an actual soldier/marine be the leader of the grunts?
And really, AFAIK Tali did not really display poor leadership on Haestrom (she did on Freedom's progress but the SB seems to talk about Haestrom), I always just got the impression that the Geth suprised them and had overwhelming numbers.
"EDIT"
Oh darn, a top post about Tali! How shameful of me.
Some blue.
