I already have an expert sniper in my team. He's a turian who goes by the name Garrus. No hate for James Vega though, I'll reserve judgment until I've seen him in game. Between Garrus and Liara, my Shepard has all he needs. Who ever figured an Alliance Soldier through and through (well until ME2) would eventually have a good Turian friend and an Asari lover at his side? Strange but good times.

That interview is rather old by now, though it is nice. Somewhere by the end, Ali Hillis thanks those people who did not want to cheat on Liara (That's us!!) in a very Liara-ish way.

I suppose I understand this form of logic. But when I hear it I feel like saying that Liara as a character has moved way beyond being the damsel in distress we found trapped in a bubble on Therum. And moving her back to that look is in a subtle way a disservice to her character.

James Vega is not right for every occasion. unless that is, he hits on liara and shepard gets to grow a handlebar mustache then challenge him to an old school bare knuckle boxin match..

I'm missing out on other squaddies just because Bioware wanted to chuck a n00b in for those people jumping in to the franchise at ME3.

Dunno what you guys are freakin out about regarding Liara's look in the E3 demo, she looks damn hot! Just like she did when I fell for her in ME1, and have been loyal to her from the since the beginning of ME1.

While I don't have any problems with this look or the LotSB look, I'm more pissed of at BW b/c they keep on changing her all the time and know they're saying there's a reason to why.

That's what bothers me.

In second Q&A from Gamescon, Mike Gamble mentioned that Liara looks different in ME3 for a reason.  The second ME3/DA Q&A about 6:14.

James Vega hitting on Liara and then expecting to get away with it after getting beat up in a boxing match? No no no... Such an offence has only one proper punishment: It's airlock time.

And I read into that a lot, although that was only before I figured ME3 Liara = ME1 Liara model. It just looks different due to using a different engine and lighting. Mike Gamble was full of rubbish when he answered that question. Her face model for ME3 isn't finished yet and so he made something up to keep us in suspense.

Now... We all know that the differing species likely have STDs and such since Mordin mentions "Scale-itch."

Now.. we also know that the Asari propagate via Melding nervous systems...Follow me on this one... Can the Asari contract mental illnesses like Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, or Dementia? o.o

Even though it was meant as a jest I'll respond to it anyway, to keep the topic moving. I'm no expert on these illnesses but I bet they're human only. Asari probably have other illnesses that have something to do with their unique nervous systems. Though with all the modern medical science I dare say all of those (except the disorder that Ardat Yakshi suffer from) will have been eliminated by now.

Ok, that's enough seriousness on my part for now.
