the only good thing about this DLC is the soundtrack
I admit I was suprised they did not build on the breath scene, but still, Bioware gave you an ending that heavily hinted at a reunion. It has hope and what happens next is up to you, the same could not be said for the original ending where there was only speculations and depressing conclusions.

Shepard has a romantic surprise planned for Liara. I shall not be held liable should you suffer from diabetes as a result.
Perfect in every sense of the word. I absolutely love this - once again masterful! I have only one thing to say about Liara fans in this thread: Read this. Now.
Gdaaawww thanks, guys. Glad you enjoyed it, although I may just have reached my sap capacity for the week! Thank god

So I made a music video for Liara and Shepard, covering the whole Mass Effect series, and including scenes from the Extended Cut. I figured I'd share it with you guys here. The accompanying song is "Cosmic Love" by Florence +The Machine
I'd love to hear comments and just continue discussing what is probably the coolest romance in video games!
Mass Effect 3 "Cosmic Love", a Liara/Shepard Music Video
Truly wonderful! Congrats to the maker.
And just as I complained a lot in the past few months, I have to now thank BIOWARE for having been listening and giving us a good ending. Even a happy ending.
Yeah man, we rage because we care. And if there's one thing that united Tali fans, Lirara fans, etc, etc, it was our desire for a new ending. It was a wierdly beautiful sight

To be honest, I only played ME1 once. I play as a infiltrator. At first, I found her singularity really "scary" in ME1 because of Noveria, the bomb was going to explode and her sigularity made a crate drop in front of the door liked 3 times - 3 times reloadedCrazyGreggy wrote...

I need to bring Liara with me more in ME1I missed all these lines. I only bring her along in Noveria and Ilos.
In ME3, I bring her along in every missions
ME1 she's invaluable, especially as a soldier. Singularity plus Spectre Assault Rifle X makes for a real fish in a barrel killing experience
In ME3, singularity + my Shep bonus power slam = biotic explosion, statis/warp + cloak + sniper = win. All I need is James as a tank or EDI for tech skill.

it's like you buy a house and in it there is the bedroom but on the dor there is a wall and you can't see the bedroom.
The architect tells you to use your imagination. You can immaginate the bedroom of a king... But you can never really see how is it , and you cant use it
understand the comparison?
this is what i see in the ending of mass effect..... I want the facts not the rumors

I think Bioware just didn't want to kill the Indoctrination Theory, since if Shepard woke up, and had a reunion, it would kill it. As is right now, people can interprete them all as a dream, that Shepard wakes up from, and then finishes the fight.

I roll my eyes at people who still believe IT after EC, the refusal ending for all intents and purposes kills it.

It a fit of procrastination I just did. I have to say, I really like the interpretation of the endings. As in... it makes the dogsh*te more palatable. And I've always thought Liara was the true hero of ME - not because of any character bias whatsoever, but because of the reasons the author laid out.
Oh and, on a slight tangent, in the spirit of not being productive, I youtubed all the beam squaddie goodbyes. Femshep/Liara is undoubtedly the most heart-wrenching. Even some of the other LI's (Garrus, much as I love him), were pretty meh.

OK that comic was great i couldn't help but read it in Liam Neeson's voice though. It also reminded me of a episode of the Grahm Norton show that they had Liam on

The Real Hero Of Mass Effect Explains How - And Why - The 'Reject Ending' Works - Forbes http://onforb.es/N0XOlC
that is excellent, however it still overlooks the simple possibility that the choice could be invalidated by a different person arriving at the same point in a future cycle.
More importantly, for me, we are supposed to believe the crucible could re-write the dna of everything, or control just the reapers, but destroy cannot distinguish only reapers like control can? Forced choice = illogical and sloppy.
Good point ....

Skimmed the article. I can kinda see what he's getting at but I don't like it personally. If nothing else the fact remains that it is totally implied that the Crucible IS used by a later cycle to do one of 'those three' things. So it's hardly some great moral stance to say "ok, someone else can use it to blow up the Reapers or whatever".
Not to mention I find his conclusion completely nihilstic. I refer yet again to the point I've made on about a hundred occassions now: I, for one, wasn't fighting to beat the Reapers. I was fighting to save the galaxy and the people I actually cared about. That interpretation of the refusal ending means Shepard utterly fails in that in every single respect because everyone dies.
Hell, just reading that has left me feeling literally awful. I feel physically sick and depressed. Because it implies the "right" decision means you lose. Just like with the original endings. I genuinely, sincerely wish I hadn't even looked at that article now.

LOL. My shep's thoughts, exactly.
So in the first chat with Liara on the Normandy in ME3, where Liara asks if Shep's still interested in pursuing their relationship, does Liara have lines for all of the ME2 LIs? I think I've only heard the ones where she mentions Tali and Garrus.

I felt that ending was an easy way out for Bioware, Three endings had some thought put into it and one that took 5 mins to do. Where is the epic Final stand the great last battle in which we watch the fleets battle it out, no just watch one Cruiser get destroyed and then the Liara info box. That is not a true ending because it shows nothing really, just my thought. The Lightspeaker wrote...
