I love Liara, I really do, but I (and my Shepards) felt like Liara had changed after you died. She was so concerned with catching the Shadow Broker, too busy to even help you defeat the collectors, after all you did and how many times you were there for her. I feel perfectly justified leaving her for Garrus and Tali.

No hard feelings Liara, you were great in ME1.

Eevs saw her struggle and helped her bring down the broker. Then everything was fine, and Liara was very helpful getting ready for the fight.

But I’m glad you found happiness elsewhere.

Did I specify Liara stuff? ;D

Might have one or two things in mind, we'll see. Bit eager to go back and improve old bits aswell. Got alot of time on my hands these days, now motivation is all I need.

Ack, you tease!

I'm pleased to see that you're still around, though. Now all we need to do is to coax you into producing more of your amazing Liara work. :P

Anyway, as I said before, it's good to have you back.

You know LotSB was developed largely to address that very complaint? Take a Liaramancer through LotSB and stay loyal to her, you really get to iron out those issues and talk with her about the way she's been acting and how she feels towards Shep.

Hey there,
I would like to share with you my new tribute to Liara

Making this video was so much fun. She is such a great character and a complex companion to Shepard with all her different faces and her incredible development during the game. That`s what I like to show you with this video and I hope I'll have success :).

Wow, that was really an amazing tribute! Usually the fanmade tributes are a bit too cheesy for my taste, but your video was great. Good pacing and in all the other ways too, nice work! :wizard:  I actually watched the whole video (haven't done that with fanmade videos for a long, long time) and enjoyed every second of it. Wouldn't mind seeing more  this kind of Liara videos ;).

I'm going to echo this praise - I'm not usually one for the fan made videos but this one was awesome, hell I may have even had a few feels surface during the goodbye scene.  That intro had me hooked, picked some great, meaningful lines, fitting music and clips per chapter, and kept me interested throughout.  Thanks for making the vid!
*lowers voice, shifty eyes around the forums* bonus points for femshep ;)

Fantastic job with this video - you've really shown off Liara for who she is, her personality, her past and her present, as well as the many layers of her relationship with Shepard. Good choice of music too. I really enjoyed watching this - and I'm definitely looking forward to the rest of your character tributes. Very well done!

Hey PMC! It has been a long time, yes, but now I'm back in action, alive and kicking, so to speak. Don't really know why I've been away from BSN all this time that I have... guess I gotta make it up to all those posts that I never posted when I was absent and post them now, have to be über-active on the forum for a change :P.

*peeks in*

Uh hi everybody!

*waves*

HEY COHINA!!!  MY BRO!!!  BUDDY!!!

HIGH FIVE MAN!!!

LONG TIME NO SEE!!!

anyhoo...

Some of you might not know me, since it's been ages since I've been on here and I know we got a lot of new posters since then, but I was once quite an active member of this thread.

And then ME3 was released.

And then you little buggers posted a gazillion pages on the thread.

And ever since then, my little anal-have-to-read-all-the-pages self has been trying to catch up.

I fear I may never make it.

But just popping in because PMC FINALLY DECIDED TO TELL ME THAT THE EXTENDED CUT DLC HAS BEEN RELEASED.  THANKS A LOT WOMAN.

And I just watched that awesome awesome tribute video.

Few questions, besides the goodbye scene at the beam (which I totally DID NOT tear up at, no siree) and the extended epilogue stuff, does the DLC add anything else to previous portions of the game?

Cuz I swear there were lines in that video (the romance section) that I don't remember hearing in the game!

*hugs Liara thread*

If Javik and Liara make up after Thessia, and Javik doesn't touch his memory shard. He confides in Shepard that he and Liara will write a book. Lets imagine that Liara wasn't your Shepards LI. Do you think there would be any potential for romance between Liara and Javik?

Besides the fact that I don't think Javik is Liara's type, Javik is firmly against interspecies relationships. He has dialogue in the game where he dismisses it as a pointless exercise, since it doesn't produce offspring. While an Asari can produce offspring with an alien, Javik would still view at as pointless because the child wouldn't be Prothean.

I don't think they'd ever be anything more than friends.

That isn't to say that Liara would be 'forever alone' if Shepard isn't in the picture. She'd settle down with someone, it just wouldn't be Javik.

All I wanted was to reunite with Liara and crew at the end. To see us get married and have those littel blue children.
Image IPB
And to have it be shown with in game ciniematic's, dialogue and dialogue choices.

But instead I got this said to me by Jessica Merizan.

Did anyone else want this, Liara was the main reason I was fighting this war, to see that she and all that she knew was safe and to reunite with her in the end. I'm not on this form much but I wanted to see if anyone else was broken hearted that they didn't get to reunite with Liara or LI like I was. And I still dont know why BW didn't do this, from what I've seen this was one of the biggest complaints, it should have been there imo.

I know exactly how you feel. That future with Liara, retiring to a peaceful home on Thessia to live out that life she keeps saying she desires - it was a strong reason to keep playing, to hope for that possibility.

Well, now the endings at least allow it, but they don't show it. And it is disappointing.

Honestly, that feeling, that desire and need, is why I'm such a huge advocate of Theo's fics. He actually provides the catharsis for that I wanted.

If you haven't seen them, check them out.

Aside from how terrifyingly ripped FemShep is, that's just amazing. This is the sort of thing that endears me to Liara.

I don't think that a reunion scene was necessary, or that a lack of it makes the game disappointing.

Agreed.  I believe its ok to an extent.  Vanilla ME3 ending was ...a good example of it not being done properly.  DLC ending did the whole "speculate" an ending a bit better without having to spoon feed the audience but still heavily insinuate.  Im ok not having a concrete cutscene of LI reunion, ive had threee months of head canon to bail me out there.  Can't have games (the writers) do everything for you (ive all ready re-imagined plot and inserted it over mac walters filth), otherwise they really are just turning your brain to easily molded mush.

And hey its karmen!  lol thought we lost you 770+ pages back!  Situation was getting pretty dark back there, we thought you for dead - even had a memorial wall put up and a plaque done up.  PMC didn't put it up though, kept saying you wern't dead so... ;)
I think some of the fshep lines were from uhh garrus romance, but which lines in particular were unknown to you?

DOOZER!!!  HI!!!!  *hugs*

I SHALL OVERCOME.  ONE DAY, ONE DAY I WILL STROLL/CRAWL TRIUMPHANTLY INTO THE THREAD AND promptly collapse and beg you all not to post so much stuff ever again.

There were a couple lines that were worded differently, just random things that I was all hey I don't remember that!

Such as:

"you mean so much to me" (Liara)
"your support makes me strong" (femshep)
"I wish we could spend more time together like this in peace and happiness" (Liara)
"I don't know what I'd do without you" (Femshep)
"lets make this night special" (Femshep)
"whatever happens out there, I love you Shepard" (Liara)
"I love you Liara T'Soni" (femshep)
"I never thought we'd be together like this, it means a lot to me" (Liara)...

Ok that was a lot of lines, maybe I just need to play ME3 again... and I only played it as a loyal through all 3 games Shep so maybe some of those lines are for Shep's who just romanced Liara in 3?

Also at the end!  The goodbye between Liara and Shep seems different.  I can't find anywhere else where Liara says "I love you Shepard" before saying "I... I am yours" and Shep then says "You know I love you. I always will."

Did the awesome maker just splice those together from other places or is that actually in the extended cut DLC?

And too ripped? Pshaw. OK, my mental image of Eevs is not quite as buff, but she’s a warrior, not a f— pencil-pusher

1. Happens ME3 romance scene, for the new romance beginners.
2. Kaidan romance (i think, i havnt done that one aside from catching one or two on youtube)
3. Merged between the date scene line "I wish we could etc ...just friends"  and the final romance "a single ship could get lost out there...etc" line.
4.Garrus romance
5. Is that the renegade line from an cheating shepard romance?  instead of saying i love you?  Ionno ill have to look that one up.
6. A merge of two lines.  One in a fresh ME3 romance scene "whatever happens out there shep im glad we're doing this" and I love you is pretty self explanatory ;)
7. Disloyal shepard who gets back together with Liara in the end - full name I love you line.  I think.  Hesitant  "I...I love you too" from liara.
8.new romance ME3 only, Liara says it during final romance.

That last line was just a merge of the two line thing again lol i think i still like that scene better with just the "i am yours" thing - the "I love you, i am yours" feels like smothering to my shep's damaged renegade soul. lol.
