Sure, but it's a very abstract, distant threat and as you write yourself, you have to believe starbrat in the first place. Which isn't exactly made easier if you managed to make peace between Geth and Quarians earlier in the game.d32f123 wrote...
Well, if that star child is right then after some time if you choose destroy next generation will create synthetics that will kill organics, so this is some kind of payback for Shepard survival, if this will happen.
And it's similar with the other consequences. The Relays will be unfunctional regardless of your choice and can be repaired anyway, the Geth become somewhat of an anonymous mass the moment Legion inevitably dies and while EDI is certainly a very likable character, I doubt many people have the same emotional connection to her as to their Sheps and LIs. We don't even get to see those deaths at all.
I mean, I certainly don't want to go back to the times of "choose between Bleak Ending 1, Bleack Ending 2 and Bleak Ending 3". It's just that I feel that - especially on the emotional level - there's too little reason to pick anything but destroy, which makes the final choice somewhat ... boring.
But maybe that's just me and I really don't want to derail this thread into ending rage again.
So let's have a happy Liara instead!
