Allways planned to do a 'Garrus gets a rocket to his face' ME2 playthrough for that, but didn't get around to it yet. (And I'm not sure I'll have the heart to do it if I ever get there )

I have, and it's more or less the same dialouge that Garus has until the end of the mission.

I will have to say that the "...Can Wait" series and "Marked", or whatever it is called, are very good but beyond those I don't really care much for Rae's fics.

I don't know about this one... I like Rae's ' ___ Can Wait' serie, but I don't know about this one.. The way Liara is acting in this one isn't like her, she acts almost as a stripper, as a somekind of a prostitute. I can't possibly imagine our graceful, humble and shy Liara acting this way. I can see this more fitting for a character like Morinth.
Ofcourse, the writing itself of this story if really well done, as fitting for Rae. Very good. It's just that the way Liara is acting in this one just doesn't fit her personality and character. In the '___ Can Wait' serie the way she makes love with Shepard is just from pure love, she isn't  dancing and stripping for him like in this one (again, I have no problem with this - just not with Liara). Sorry.

Agreed, I still wonder how someone can make different stories about the same character that varries so far in their portrayal of her. From very impressive to quite ooc.

Ha glad you enjoyed it, you may need to take a long COLD shower afterwards though lol! I know her work isn't to everyones taste but I love her Femshep/Liara stuff in all it's forms.

Off topic: Was it ever explained how Kasumi knew that it was Morinth in Samara's form? Because I remember in my renegade playthroughs Kasumi warned my femshep to not take her up on her melding offer, my only guess is Kasumi probably likes to stealth around the Normandy and walked in on something she wasn't meant to see.:huh:She's the only one apart from Shep who knew the truth.

I think the reason Rae's stuff varies so wildly in quality and accurate portrayal of the characters is because, well, Rae takes requests. People request certain things, especially certain kinks or fetishes, and she writes a story around them. Lots of times things requested will never be in character, so the story is flawed from the start.

The (original) SB picked up on the justicar's "changed agenda" as well - it's not inconceivable that Kasumi noticed similar inconsistencies and did some research.

I disagree - the subject at hand is not discussed in the game, and kinks are at best tenuously correlated with personality. It should be possible to do this well (assuming that we're sticking to canon pairings here).

No offence, but anyone can write stuff you are already familiar with and expecting; what takes skill is selling the rest.

Plus: "Liara read about $foo while researching human sexuality and wants to try it with Shepard" should easily cover half of kmeme

I freakin' love Kasumi too, she was a great companion to bring along in ME2, plus shadow strike was full of win. She was adorable with all her lil quips about the crew members and how she didn't feel the need to act so formal around Shep really endeared her to me. She always had a lil bit of gossip at the ready and her acknowledging Shep's romance with Liara was cool, now if only the rest of the crew were allowed to say something that would have been sweet, I liked Javik acknowledging it in his own weird way too:P Although she only had a bit part she probably got one of the funniest lines in the game in regards to that crazy hanar:D

It cracks me up when people get upset about gender on a board. It's not as if we can see each other and then make that mistake. He ... She ... heck, I'll even accept It. No skin off my nose.

Kasumi’s been one of my favorites. Topically speaking, I always found her to be a good bff complement to Liara, though even so I surprised myself with the direction events are taking her in “Unity”.
