I don't know I mean for all her anger and hate for Cerberus she doesn't really have anything she could use against Cerberus, she's just one really angry Quarian. Liara has contacts and resources, Tali blowing up the engine probably doesn't concern TIM as much as someone who could offer a viable alternative to him and his organization. So long as he monopolizes that he has Shepard's leash.

Probably the big breaking point was Garrus anyway, since that didn't ruin the whole thing he naturally assumes that either Shepard is keeping these individuals in line and or the illusion of rebellion from Cerberus by having these people around keeps Shepard subject to his continued manipulation. Since having Tali and Garrus around as an illusionary rebellion is better than an actual rebellion.

Liara's big threat is that she represents genuine rebellion, a rival organization or individual capable of usurping his control over Shepard.

That's a good point PMC, hmm I've seen other fanfic writers who tried to explain the asari attitude towards sex, one had the melding union as complete intimate sex as we know it while sex with lets say a human without the meld was something similar to foreplay for them, not completely satisfying but pleasurable nonetheless. In Retribution Grayson's and Liselle's arrangement was interesting in this regard, they had melding sex, her attitude towards it was quite casual, I guess some asari are quite like us some more promiscious while other's more selective with who they invite into their beds. 



Liselle and Grayson only knew one another for a short period of time, she viewed her relationship as nothing more than purely physical, I guess not all asari want that deep connection, she just seeked the pleasurable side. Their arrangement worked for them, he knew she would lose interest as he got older, both just enjoying the present, as long as it lasted;)

Hehe good find, didn't hear that tune before, although I got both themes from club Afterlife on my ipod, I prefer the beats of Afterlife to Purgatory myself, and Aria was right that club was so sickenly uptight:P We got to take back Omega, man I fricken adore Aria, she's a brilliant character and it doesn't hurt that she's smokin hot too:D

beside that, in my opinion that armor would fit Liara if she would lead Asari Commandos. On the other hand that armor reminds me toooo much of an Clone Trooper from Star Wars.

Am I the only one who finds the prospect of making out with Aria more frightening than making out with an Ardat-Yakshi?  Not that she isn't a total BAMF, but she scares me witless.

Aria was apparently quite promiscuous in her youth. If you do her quest in ME2 and keep on her good side, you can ask her a bit about her origins as Omega's pirate queen and her back story with Patriarch. She'll reveal that one of the means she used to undermine Patriarch when he ruled Omega, was trading sexual favors with Patriarch's lieutenants in exchange for their loyalty. In the end Patriarch's lieutenants betrayed him.

That being said, I don't think anything is ever mentioned in the books, comics, or games about Aria taking lovers after ruling Omega. Of course that doesn't necessarily mean that she hasn't, but it could also mean that Aria doesn't view sex and relationships the way normal people do. She may just view at as a tool to manipulate people, and since she is currently in charge, may not have need for it.

After reading the Invasion comic Aria is extremly pissed off and with good reason, I always would have loved it if Aria found out the truth about her daughter's death due to Cerberus.

I've read some interesting Aria fanfics before, Rae's recent one where she has Aria seducing Tevos was pretty funny and quite ahem... detailed, hell that's Rae for ya! I know some of her stuff is an acquired taste but I really enjoyed that piece, smut bothers some, not me though:D I found that piece both strangely erotic and damn funny too. I don't know, I find Aria less frightening when it turns out Cerberus could kick her off of Omega. And I can beat Cerberus. Ergo, I can beat Aria if necessary. In any case, Aria needs Shepard around to help take back Omega, as well as direct the Terminus Fleet.

And while I'm focused on Liara, I admit that kissing Aria would probably be interesting.

Aria is very business savvy, she wouldn't kill someone unless it was completely necessary, she would first prefer to exhaust any value they possess and turn it towards her interests, she would only kill those who pose a direct threat to her ironclad ruler-ship or if they betray her in some way. Killing someone for no good reason is bad for business and a pain in the ass to clean up later, Aria prefers to use people to her benefit rather than kill em off.

Aria excels at manipulation, and would use her sex appeal to get ahead if necessary, I would see her using sex as another tool to get ahead, she doesn't seem to be the relationship type to be honest. I doubt she is celibate though, she has alot of young dancers at her disposal if mixing business with pleasure doesn't bother her.

Sex appeal, maybe, but I doubt she'd sleep with anyone just for an advantage. I'm certain the only people sharing her bed will be those she absolutely wants there. Which I suspect the dancers provide, for the most part.

@Xilizhra on her rise to claiming Omega for herself she used sex as a weapon to divide and conquer those ruling, in her past she used sex to get what she wanted however she is established now so she wouldn't hop into bed with anbody yes but in her past she had to do just that to get ahead. People fear Aria now as she runs a tight ship, through violence and intimidation. She can still use her sex appeal but you'd be dreaming if you think she'll hold you to anything more. Look at the leader of the blue suns in ME3, pfft dream on mate she'd crush you more like, just a blip on her radar,  just another disposable second rate criminal to her:lol:

That was my take on her as well.

I don't think she has a 'healthy' view towards sex and relationships. That isn't to say that Aria wouldn't enjoy sex, just that there would always be undercurrent of manipulation or power politics with her.

Taking Shepard as an example, and I'm only using Shepard as an example since some people wanted Aria to be an LI in ME3, the only way I could see Aria sleeping with Shepard was if she thought it was necessary to cement an Alliance, or if she thought that would sweeten the deal in getting Shepard to retake Omega. Aria certainly wouldn't be the "It's lonley at the top and I just need a hug" type.

I dunno, now that she's reached the pinnacle of power on Omega, I can see her killing people just because they irritate her. She can do that! Of course, if these were useful people, she probably wouldn't kill them... yet. (Like the Blue Suns dude).

Maybe I'm just irrationally terrified of Aria. It's totally possible.
