I just wanted Shep to show some compassion to Liara in that scene, not to give her bondmate another pep talk, Liara always asks how Shep is feeling, there to offer comfort if needed, I really would have loved for Shep to return the favour in that scene. Oh well what's done is done:whistle:

maybe the pep talk was as much for sheps benefit as it was for Liara's - it may sound cold but it does get you off your ass, instead if allowing emotions of the situation weaken you and reduce you to a weepy mess, harness it and use it to fuel your strength to soldier on.  Theyre both pretty emotionally compromised in those scenes - its hard to remain a rock for someone when you yourself feel worn and slightly broken.  Which is what the defeat of Thessia was supposed to make Shepard feel - that and very angry.  Not really the best of moods to be comforting... at least not for my shep - but again thats the problem right there in a nutshell - lack of options for the variety of shepards romancing our lady blue.

I'd also rather not see the films get made, as I have no expectations of them being any good. Hollywood has a very poor track record with game-to-film-adaptations. But if they do get made and Ali Hillis isn't going to play Liara (guaranteed), my vote would be for Olivia Wilde.

She was good in Tron, and played a character that shared some similarities with Mass Effect 1 Liara. She's also got modelesque facial features, which would be requirement for any actress playing a character that is equal parts movie makeup and CGI, yet still has to look attractive despite that. (ex. Zoe Saldana in Avatar)

It will also be hard to watch a broshep since I main see my shep being a fshep.

Pretty much this ^  +100 for doozer.

Dosn't it list both Shepards on the IMBD page? I honestly think using only broshep would cause a ****storm, of epic proportions. Oh well, tough ******..

Yeah I would have very low expectations towards it myself, everyone's Shep is different, what will this Shep be like, who will be that Shep's LI? It will no doubt be a bro Shep anyway so I'm guessing Ashley will probably be the romance of choice, but I could be wrong. That Shep will just be an imposter to me anyway, I rather stick to my ingame Sheps, everyone's Shep is personal to them, we invested hours into the paths we forged for our Shep's, I won't care for this Shep, successful games that are turned into movies always bomb anyway, look at the Resident Evil movies, pure crap, great games god awful movies though:?

You said the best. I feel the same way since I only play as FShep.  So if the hardcore ME gamers aren't that interested in the movie, who will be watching it?

If the way ME3 was handled is any indication, EA/Bioware doesn't particularly care about current fans of the franchise, since they spent so much time making sure ME3 was a "great place to start the series"...  So I'm sure that any Mass Effect movie that gets made won't be made for any of us.

So, even though I'm never a liaramancer, I think the scene where she creates the time capsule for future generations should have been the "date" scene instead of the one where you discuss her mom. I mean, even when they're platonic, the date scenes are supposed to be sweet and fun (I dare anyone to say Garrus' isn't awesome) and the scene where Liara creates that capsule is a really sweet scene, romanced or not. The citadel date scene, on the other hand, is lame for one reason, and one reason only: you wind up discussing her mom.

You know, the lady I shot in the face multiple times in the first game. I locked her in stasis, and then blasted away with my handgun till she dies (she rambled a bit more first). You can't have a sweet date scene discussing this person!

In conclusion:
Time capsule: Sweet and touching
Talking about Liara's mom: Kinda weird and a bit disturbing...
So yeah,

Yeah, I think that was what it said on the bottle the bartender handed to me. Oh, look at the poor chap Doozer, I drank his whiskey, he even had to change his whiskey brand while looking for a replacement because of me, and now he's all pissed, raiding our supply lines and all... oh you poor lad.

Korkki!!!!  WE GOT A PROBLEM.

THAT SNEAKY AKERNIS HAS DEFECTED.  HE'S MADE PEACE WITH THE OTHER SIDE AND SIGNED A TREATY!!!

It's not that bad,  I understand Akernis.  Me and PMC had a pseudo truce going while you were burried thousands of pages back.  Of course that was more of a don't bash Tali and I won't bash Ash thing but I'm pretty sure that we refrained from the bb issue for awhile to...  That of course ended although it didn't end as quickly as i thought it would

So 5 pages until the terms of the treaty are null and void? I think that's a generous estimate. Really this whole thing is like Synthetics versus Organics in that it's a vaguely defined conflict with no end because of reasons which of course makes sense because of facts.

Facts, that I think you'll agree, none of those involved ever need to see. Their doom will be like a surprise party! With nuclear warheads.

I'll give it closer to ten just because me and PMC made atleast ten pages of peace....

and what is this orgo/synth thing we've already proven they can work together and coexist...

So yeah,

Benezia was a victim of the war as much as V.S was, she was not a monster in her passing - she was an Asari, a matriarch, a mother... a victim of indoctrination, a tragic loss.
how is it disturbing to listen to Liara discuss/mourn someone she cared for rather dearly and will never see again and obviously cared a great deal for - she's sharing something thats deeply personal to her and allowing Shepard in to help her through it.  That's a decent sized step for someone as...guarded...as she likes to keep herself.

Hmmm *Signs the treaty of 1753...eyes akernis suspiciously while handing over the pen*

*signs, await the signatures of Moreeman, Karmen, Cohina, and Theodoro*

As of 1753 the Biotic Blue Baby Bommadment Brigade will not launch strikes against doozer12 unless promted to do so by the actions of named individual, any attacks on other individuals such as PMC, will be done with care to avoid cathing doozer in the crossfire.
We may still prepare action should the topic of Blue and True demand it.

This treaty will be forfeit if any member of the agreement breaks it by overstepping the other party's rights to their respective viewpoints and preferences.

The ****? Image IPB

There's lots of problems with the paramour scene on the Citadel, but Liara discussing Benezia isn't one of them.

And it's for precisely something you name - as Shepard, all you know of Benezia is she was a crazy woman you had to stop and you killed her. To Liara? That was her mother, who raised her from a child.

Especially to a romanced Shepard, Liara wanting to talk to Shepard about Benezia is pretty powerful. She wants Shepard to know Benezia as more than just the villain he knew her as, she wants Shepard to know her as the woman and mother that raised her, and that she loved. To understand that the Benezia Shepard met, wasn't the real Benezia.

I really like this concept, but the execution needs some work. Liara and Shep just look too stiff - they look like they are sitting straight up at attention.

Make them look more relaxed, like they are enjoying themselves and each others' company! Arm/hand positions, position on couch, how close they are to eachother, etc.

So yeah,

I don't think the conversation about her mother is disturbing. In fact, I thought it was quite sweet to hear Liara talk about her mother and the person she was before her indoctrination. It's just that the jump to "do you want to be my girlfriend/bondmate?" was a bit forced. It would indeed have been a much better idea to integrate it into the capsule scene. I believe it's a bit of a fan theory that Liara, when not romanced in ME1, carries a torch for Shepard, right? Then if Shepard finally wanted to reciprocate those feelings, than what better chance to do so when Liara starts gushing about Shepard in the entry she completely devoted to him/her? It's the perfect tie-in and it fits the intimate atmosphere. The same goes for confirming that you, Shepard, want to spend the rest of your life with Liara when you had already romanced her in ME1 and continued it in ME2 and (the beginning of) ME3.

I've been reading so much of the older post for this forum lately, so happy I can finally read the up to date stuff and write here. I just finished playing all the ME games over just so I could romance Liara before playing the extended cut. My first time playing ME1 I had romanced her but then I imported that save to see what Ashley was like.. which I regret because I find her so ugly and annoying  and yeah.. never got to change that back <_< but I must say now that I have finished it all LotSB was 10x better with Liara romanced.  I felt ME3 should've focused on all the romance stuff just a little more (and less on multiplayer which I don't even play).  I hated whenever I was having a cute moment with Liara and she would call me a good friend. The romance didn't pick up till the end I feel and yes even tho I'm a guy it was very important to me. I like Liara more then I do most of the girls I know in real life. I'll never forget how cute and innocent she was in ME1  The end however *SPOILERS.................even though I'm sure most of you have played it* when she finaly says that she loves me made my heart skip 1000 beats and then the very end while running toward the beam where she gets injured and I have to go on without her while she was screaming for me not to was just heartbreaking for me, I didn't want to leave her and knew there was a good chance I was about to die but had to. It really made it difficult to make the final decision.. which in my mind I haven't yet. Was I the only one who couldn't stop thinking about Liara and blue kids when making this decision?

Anyways sorry this is so long. First forum I actually read and write on. I have no friends that play ME to talk about this kinda stuff with  :(

I don't know about that look at George Clooney in Batman and Robin, that movie was so goddamn awful, Clooney and Joel Schumacher almost singlehandedly ruined the Batman franchise themselves.:pinched:

It didn’t really reduce my enjoyment of the few Batman series that I liked (“The Dark Knight Returns” mostly, really — essentially all DC characters are pretty terrible to begin with, and there’s only so much you can do with them. I didn’t even like the Burton Batmans).

Anyway, here’s Liara wearing the batgirl outfit:
