Oh, I know.  I would have loved to have had that dialogue in game, but I wouldn't be able to resist having Alice point out that it was "father" when the mother was an asari.

Indeed. it "slowed down the pacing" so they cut it.

I mean, who wants to be bogged down with heartfelt dialog when you can have conversation with ghostchildren right?

Not sure what you would add to broShep. As you said, there is no reason for him to correct Anderson.

That would seem more appropiate in a conversation with Hannah Shepard. 

I know I posted this line before, but I always wanted a conversation with Hannah where she says this.

"I always wanted a granddaughter, I just... never expected her to be blue."

I feel like since this game has come out Bioware has been talking about their paid DLC plans very highly as if it will fix everything in a way or something. Maybe even explain more so that the endings make more sense.. give more info on Harbinger? I really don't know. After playing the ending once it's hard for me to even see Shepard back at the Normandy standing in front of the galaxy map after all the credits, I'm not sure if I can play anymore knowing what happens

of course I will though :]

Ahahaha I wrote chapter 3 to Forever As One on the back of fluffy times inspired by my fiance. Karmen's request for chapter 4 involves smut, which I have never written. Fortunately for me, I have a guest star (read: writer) lined up, and her writing is tasteful while remaining incredibly sexy (or so the 21 reviews of her first published fic on FFN tell me ). So, she's got the big chunk of Ch. 4 covered (or she will be...).

Other than that... I'm just lazy

To be fair, the extended Anderson dialogue also violated established canon, which most likely also had something to do with it both being cut and then not added back in with the EC. Anderson was married before and had a child.

I was kind of hoping we'd get something like this in the EC:

Anderson: You ever wonder...how things would have been different? How our lives would be different, if this hadn't happened? I had a family once, Shepard. A wife and a child. Didn't work out though...too much time spent on deployments. Too much time away from home. Can't say I blamed her when she finally left. Haven't seen my son much since. I've always regretted that.

Shepard: There will be time enough for that now.

Anderson: (pained laughter) I think that ship has sailed.

(the rest continues just as it does in the cut dialogue)

That being said  I also was happy with the 'Proud of You' scene as it is in the game, and think it is better to leave it as it is than to reintroduce cut dialogue that gets the character's backstory wrong.



EDIT: Ugh...topless and not even discussing Liara. EPIC FAIL!

Ah, I forgot about the part in Revelation where it mentions he had a wife.  It's unfortunate, 'cause that's really a throwaway bit of information that is never again brought up, nor is it terribly important to the story.  It just sits there, like a rock in your shoe, reminding you that there are some things that are now established fact.
