I think we have this conversation every few weeks, but I view LotSB as Shepard's LM, at least any Shepard who's romanced Liara.  I might feel differently if I'd had to wait around for 9 months to play LotSB like some of you lot, but I lucked out and got it soon after I hit Illium.

As I always state. I do not like doing LOTSB before the SM simply because it undermines the relationship arc and what happens between Shepard and Liara in ME2. Having them fix the relationship right away trivialises the Illium cameo and makes it seem somewhat melodramatic. It also removes the impact of the picture scene.

Meh. Don't bring Miri along. Garrus simply also fits better in that scenario.

Does Liara even comment if you just talk with someone after their LM
and don't deny them? Say, if you talk to Tali she eventually talks
about linking suits and by using a neutral response Shepard kind of says
he would like to but he feels it's too dangerous. This doesn't affirm a
romance but doesn't end it either. If you do Lotsb after this point,
would Liara treat Shepard as if he were in a romance with Tali?

Picking the neutral line with Tali shuts down the romance. You just do it gently. So no romance, no jealous Liara.

Would also seem slightly weird of Liara to be bitter over that, when she looks past Shepard nearly making out with Samara.

Before SM: Liara talks about how the mission on Horizon went and later says that Shepard will leap through the omega-4 relay when his team is ready, asking him to promise to always come back.

After SM: Liara talks about the collector base mission and says that Shepard will jump into the fray when the reapers arrive. Afterwards she also wants Shepard to promise he's always coming back.

Because the reaper war is still a big unknown, I feel this last scene has a lot more weight because it's going to be harder to survive the reaper war than it was to survive the SM

They will talk about the Collector Base instead of Horizon. I like Horizon much better.
Liara will say in the end, when the Reapers finally arrive, instead if you leap through the Omega 4 Relay. I like the Reapers better.

I played this DLC so much, it's scary.

Instead of Liara mentioning Horizon, she talkes about the Collector base.

And she talks about when the Reapers show up, Shepard will jump into the fray.  Instead of talking about the jump through the Omega-4 Relay.

The dialogue changes slightly if you lose people during the SM as well.

To me it make more sense to do the cabin scene after the SM.

I'm glad you all enjoyed the interview. I loved doing it. Ali is such a lovely person it didn't really feel like an interview but rather just two people chatting. Very cool!

From a story point of view considering that Shepard is bending over backwards so that all of the crew can be focused on the mission and not be distracted by unresolved issues wouldn't it make sense for Shepard to resolve issues with Liara before SM ? The 'picture scene' takes on a different meaning if Shepard and Liara are re-affirmed, one of resolve and purpose pre SM as opposed to uncertainty and angst if you wait until after the SM.
Anyway when Liara comments about diving into the fray when the Reapers arrive it seems.... well odd because when the Reapers arrive everyone will be swept up in the fray regardless.
I guess everyone has their own story. For my Shepard seeing Liara is a priority.

You do the kiss interrupt after defeating the yahg.  Then ask Liara about her relationship with Ferson and she says that Shepard made it quite clear that she was as you humans say taken.  That reconfirms it to me right there.  Setting up the 'date' for later gives my Shepard something to come back to.

I always save LofSB until the Collectors are dealt with. Being a soldier means self sacrifice for the good of the whole. My femshep loves Liara more than anything, but her duty always takes priority, no matter how painful it may be.

So you're saying that you play Lotsb asap and save the 'date' for after the CB ?

I can see that from both a story and relationship point of view.

When I start a new game, normally, yes.  But my first time playing the DLC, I used my first playthrough with my canon femShep.  Which was after I had completed everything.

Normally, it's one of the last missions I do before going after the Reaper IFF.  I will leave one mission to do while waiting for Legion's LM.  Then I'm off to save the crew.  Back to Liara for our date then Arrival.

As much as I love the LotSB look i'm liking the return to her me1 more and more.  As for her scalp being white I think that was mostly the lighting on that mission, I just replayed Noveria last night and when she stood under some of the lights her scalp turned snow white.

And yeah, I'm starting to like the new model the more I see of it. Obv it'll never be better than LotSB but it looks nice in it's own right
