Hello! Im sorry i didn't contributed much in the last few pages. "Waves at Akernis, CrimsonN7, lillitheris,

Have you tried platinum difficulty? In my first attempt i was able to get to wave 6.

What is your funniest and favorite Liara/Shepard moment?

*waves back* welcome back...
Most of us have been uncharacteristically quiet here the last few days. My 'excuse' would be work and the new MP DLC; and yes, I did try the new platinum difficulty and have actually beaten it a couple of times *thumps chest proudly*. I really like how hectic and intense it can get, dodging banshees, phantoms, primes, ravagers and goddess knows what else all at the same time.

As for favourite funny Liara moments... I'm certain to forget some, but off the top of my head:
- Liara stumbling over her words in ME1, especially in the 'interesting specimen for an in-depth study' dialogue
- her problems with sand on Virmire
- Liara explaining the meaning of 'azure' in Azure
- the dialogue during the air-car chase (fare meter, TRUCK!) and some of her other banter in LotSB (like when hacking the door into the broker's ship)
- encountering the Yahg on Sur'Kesh, especially with Garrus also along
- pretty much the whole scene where Liara meets her dad
- she's not in the scene, but still related to her - Wrex commenting in ME3 about his accommodations on the Normandy: "I still don't have a window like Liara does... but maybe that's because I don't kiss as well."
- Liara on Therum thinking she's hallucinating if you rescue her after finishing Feros, Noveria and Virmire (only seen that one on youtube, honest; I could never leave her trapped there for so long)

I'm sure to have forgotten some other moments, certainly some renegade dialogue options that I've only seen once or twice. There's actually more humorous scenes with her than I realised :)

What does Wrex means by saying "I still don't have a window like Liara does... but maybe that's because I don't kiss as well"?

Out of curiosity, does Liara have like one signature one-liner? I'd been pondering that a few days ago and couldn't really think of one line of dialogue that truly encapsulates Liara. Most of the other fan threads usually have it in the header.
- Ren

I don't think so, while there are lines that she is rather know for, well amongst us at least, I do not think that any of them could be considered her signature line(s).
Before ME3 and LotSB she was much known for the "Becasue I couldn't let you go", but with all the fantastic things we have gotten after vanilla ME2 we usually focues on other lines & scenes.
The "I am yours" have rather a lot of impact on us and that exchance between them is incredible emotional, but again I would not consider it her signature as such.

What about "I don't want any tentacle creature inside of you... except me"?

Wrex is just making a joke, teasing Shepard about her relationship with Liara. You only get that line if you're in a romance with her.
Here, check it out on youtube.

I tested this w/ a non-romanced Liara and it is different dialouge so i'm PRETTY sure that it's referring to Shepard and Liara in the process of making little blue children

I really doubt that they are having children doing the war itself but yes Wrex insinuates that Liara gets preffered treatment because she is Shepard's lover and how much Shepard enjoys that particular aspect, upon which he/she responds with a remarkably straight face "no commet".

It cannot exactly be a signature line when she has not said it officially in the game yet Image IPB

Hi, IWL!

@Ananas: So. Much. Love. For. That. Picture. So. Much. Love. *Prepares to sit in comfy chair until lunchtime*

@Ren: She does name-drop the goddess, quite a bit. I'm still hoping for an awesome Liara 80's action phrase. Someone on an earlier page suggested "They had it coming," which she says in-game during battles.

I heard Wrex say that line in the game i just didn't know what he meant. Also for you to hear that line you have to romance Liara in Mass Effect 1. I assume he meant that i was giving Liara special treatment.

They are more funny lines. I hope Bioware doesn't removed or change that line

The  "why dont i have a window? Liara does, but i probably dont kiss aswell as she does" moment was very funny as was the fare meter gag. But my absolute favorite moment is the time capsule scene (would have made a better lock-in scene than the balcony scene imho, much more romantic potential.)

But am i the only person who think this was funny in LOTSB? (see edit)
Shepard: What kind of hotel is this...?
Liara: Azure. It's a luxury resort with an...exotic edge. "Azure" is slang for a part of the asari body in some areas of Illium.
Shepard: Where?
Liara: Mainly the lower reaches, near the bottom.
Shepard: I meant, "Where on the asari body?"
Liara: ...So did I.

And i would absolutely buy a Liara DLC!

I am wondering about something though. When u go on the geth dreadnaught, and you are standing in the airlock. Liara says, blah blah, we have the best blah blah. Upon which Tali answers: Thanks,... Shadowbroker.
I was like: gtfo Tali we are here to help you!
And i do not understand how SHE knows Liara is the SB.

edit:
Nevermind. I do pretty much agree with the post 10 posts up, a quote from frudi.

@Promises: Sometimes it seems like everyone and their mother knows Liara is the Shadow Broker. I ignore most of the passing references like that. In my headcanon, the people who know Liara's secret identity are Shepard, Joker, Miranda, Tali, EDI, Garrus, and Feron. Joker and EDI because they fly the ship, and you do leave Liara at the Shadow Broker base. (Idk, I think most of the crew would buy that Liara had business there, and they were just giving her a lift, but my Shep--for some inexplicable reason--trusts the pilot and the AI). Tali and Garrus were part of the initial assault team, and Garrus comes to the base itself. Miranda... well, I guess Shepard trusts her by the time LotSB rolls around. Plus, she and Liara have history, so... *shrugs* It's just my opinion, though.

Edit:
Changed my mind.  Ananas' theory about Feron being some sort of double-triple-whatever agent is my new headcanon.

With the exception of TIM and Hackett I do not think  that there actually are anyone else who actually knows. It is not like every random person knows.

true, the people she trusts, and TIM, that hardly seems that bad. Though I agree that I would have preffered thise while everyone could know that she was an information broker that only Shepard (well and Feron...) would know that she actually was the Shadow Broker. But in all honesty it does not bother me that much, especially since i don't think that she will hold unto the network as soon as the war is over.

Yeah Feron,..... I was kinda surprised Liara "told me" they were just friends and she "made it clear, as humans say, she was taken.". Feron screwed her over! (yes, yes i have just finished reading redemption :) ) Although he did help Liara get Shepard. "Sacrificing himself" for all he knows.
I think he would make a good follow up shadow broker in the happily ever after time, especially since he said the SB would make sure no one trusts him anymore.

I wonder what happens to Liara after ME3. She is alive (I chose destroy today) with a spaceflight capable normandy on a unknown location. But even if they dropped out of FTL and survived it. Wouldnt it be in the middle of nowhere? (including the random planet ofcourse) No where near a still damaged mass relay. How would they get to earth? Would take a very long time to fly with the normal FTL drive. Maybe she can live it out but what about food? And still even if she reaches earth, shepard would have been dead for a looong time.

So yeah, if you ever have need for something that hits you like like a Banshee queen and sends you in the land of blue dreams in a matter of very few glasses, you know who has the keys now. ;)

Unless you assume the red energy wave pulled a Caretaker and hurled the Normandy arbitrarily far away, the planet they crashed/landed on can't be all that far away from Earth. They're at worst maybe a few days of FTL flight away, so they'll be on their way back to Earth just as soon as they patch the Normandy up a bit.

Easy, the same way they got there in the first place, the FTL drive.

Promises wrote...

Why? it did not take very long to reach that unknown planet and it would take no longer to get home again. Remember they did not jump via a relay to get there so they would be very close to earth, easily within jumping distance.
As soon as the ship is repaired, which would probably take a few days at least and a few months at worst they would be in their way back.

At worst estimate I think they would be back in Sol half a year after the crash landing, possible as soon as a few weeks or even days later.

Then it would take some time to repair the relay possible taken a couple of months ot a few years at most, and everyone can get going to where-ever they want to be. In my place that would mean Shepard and Liara on the Normandy bound for Thessia to live happily ever after Image IPB

Thats silly at worst they are a few days away, at best a few hours. But do you think Shepard has days to wait?Either some soldiers or people find him at the rubble or the Normandy is a few hours away.

As a few fanfics from here shows Shepard is without doubt found by some troops looking for survivors and then sent to a still-standing hospital to recuperate. Shepard and Liara would then reunite and be together again as soon as she gets back.

But then why after the memorial scene, when Liara doesn't put Shepard's name and they fly off the planet, we see the Shepard breathing scene.?
