Maybe. If she was changed to appeal to anyone I'd say it was Mass Effect 1 players. That's my guess. We'll probably just have to wait and see though.

I would ask, how would changing Liara's look or anyone else's look appeal to new players when they don't know what these characters look like to begin with?

I think we are going to have to wait the next six months, 10 days.

That scalp still seems as white as ever.

Yes, we need more Liara copping feels on femShep's boobs in ME3

Here is the other scene where Liara cops another feel. 



EDIT:Sheploo is taller than femShep.    I need to record one of my maleShep in that same scene.    Then try to get the same close up and compare them.  I think Liara's hands are slightly lower on Sheploo's torso than where those hands are on femShep.

And that would be an excellent reason to keep them out of ME3. If you weren't joking that is. Strangely enough, with female Turians having been all but confirmed, it amazes me there isn't a 'Female Turian LI' thread by now. And I highly doubt those people have gone from 'wanting to romance everything that moves' to 'adult-ish people' in such a short amount of time. Naturally none of my Shepards have an interest in female turians. Or any other woman that isn't Liara for that matter

Liara's head fringe looks light blue in this screenshot, which is kind of nice. Overall, ME1 was very dark so you couldn't notice it all the time but Liara's fringe has always been lighter than the rest of her body. Though in another screen released at the time of Gamescon, Liara's fringe was plain white. That didn't look good at all.

Her skin tone looks darker to me overall.  I agree the plain white look on Liara was bad looking.

There seem to be a lot of femshep fans here so I'll just leave this here. If I did the time zones right, the new default femshep will be revealed at PAX in 1 hour and 15 minutes (12:00 pm local time).

Might also be the new engine + improved lighting that alters the colours a bit.

Weren't those Gamescom images taken from a video feed? And weren't they adjusted to bring out detail?

I really wouldn't worry about it. Liara is going to look amazing. What keeps me up at night is the thought of either her or Shepard being killed in ME3, and not getting to have a life together post-invasion.

She looks better than she does in the "Fall of Earth" trailer where she looks very gray.

hmm yes. That guy at gamescom said some events (he wouldn't clarify on this) were unavoidable. I don't believe Liara will keep her plot armor in ME3 but I doubt they would force her death on us. Guess we won't know until march next years so... *sigh* it's going to be a long wait.

Indeed. If it turns out that, for example, Shiala shoots Liara and kills her, I would create a new character in ME1 to avoid it next time. I guess since Shiala always lives in my pt's, I'd have to throw away all my characters...

Some pages ago I tried to discuss whether or Liara would challenge/confront Shepard's decisions in ME3 if she felt they were wrong or if Shepard was just being a bit too ruthless. Not to ressurect the topic, but I finally found a video clip(this) on how I would imagine if Liara confronted Shepard about it.

I guess it all largely depends on what kind of decision it is. Shepard and Liara seem to see eye to eye on most things, especially if you play paragade as I do. I think if Shepard does something really against Liara's morale, she's not going to act nice and pretend it isn't bothering her, she's definitely confronting Shepard about it. The clip you linked was pretty consistent with how I think Liara would confront Shepard. She wouldn't resort to flaming though...

ETA For those interested: FemShep reveal at BWTV in 50 minutes. Supposedly none other than Jennifer Hale will do the announcement
