Maybe. If she was changed to appeal to anyone I'd say it was Mass Effect 1 players. That's my guess. We'll probably just have to wait and see though.King Minos wrote...

I would ask, how would changing Liara's look or anyone else's look appeal to new players when they don't know what these characters look like to begin with?jreezy wrote...

I think we are going to have to wait the next six months, 10 days.
EDIT-This page needs blue.

New Liara screen from ME3!
Just me or does Liara look a lot better in this screencap? Scalp doesn't seem as white too
I'd also say this rules out any chance that the face model is a placeholder

The boobs are like .... starring at each other!
"EDIT"
I suppose funny things like Liara touching Femsheps boobs in such situation happen when Maleshep and Femshep share the same body size.
More of these to occour in ME3?

@LizardViking
Yes, we need more Liara copping feels on femShep's boobs in ME3
Here is the other scene where Liara cops another feel.

EDIT:Sheploo is taller than femShep. I need to record one of my maleShep in that same scene. Then try to get the same close up and compare them. I think Liara's hands are slightly lower on Sheploo's torso than where those hands are on femShep.

They already said that there is a reason why Liara has the face that she does in the demo and will will have to play to find out, so yeah... no LotSB face as far as i know. And if I were to guess the reason, it's probably because Liara went into matron stage.
That was said by the same guy who told no female turians for ME3.
He's just teasing us, Liara fanbase in general is very calm so probably he just wanted to shake us a little bit.
I was in the close conference of Gamescom and asked personaly about it and one told me the design aspects are not finished. So if is a placeholder or not, we will just have to wait to find out. I hope they keep Lotsb eyes though
Also female turians... what?
Are they romanceable?

And that would be an excellent reason to keep them out of ME3. If you weren't joking that is. Strangely enough, with female Turians having been all but confirmed, it amazes me there isn't a 'Female Turian LI' thread by now. And I highly doubt those people have gone from 'wanting to romance everything that moves' to 'adult-ish people' in such a short amount of time. Naturally none of my Shepards have an interest in female turians. Or any other woman that isn't Liara for that matter

To answer your question: I'm 99.99% sure it wouldn't since, like you said, new players don't know what these characters look like to begin with.ladyvader wrote...

So they finally give us a Liara screenshot that doesn't involve her getting crushed to death, and there's a hologram on her face.

Liara's head fringe looks light blue in this screenshot, which is kind of nice. Overall, ME1 was very dark so you couldn't notice it all the time but Liara's fringe has always been lighter than the rest of her body. Though in another screen released at the time of Gamescon, Liara's fringe was plain white. That didn't look good at all.

Her skin tone looks darker to me overall. I agree the plain white look on Liara was bad looking.Robhuzz wrote...

Might also be the new engine + improved lighting that alters the colours a bit.

I really wouldn't worry about it. Liara is going to look amazing. What keeps me up at night is the thought of either her or Shepard being killed in ME3, and not getting to have a life together post-invasion.

Maybe, Or it could be my laptop. Maybe I should download that pic and play it through my Xbox on my TV see if the color looks the same.
She looks better than she does in the "Fall of Earth" trailer where she looks very gray.
@ratzerman
I will do everything possible to make sure that neither Liara nor Shepard die. Even if I have to redo ME1 to do it, I will do it.

@Ladyvader
Indeed. If it turns out that, for example, Shiala shoots Liara and kills her, I would create a new character in ME1 to avoid it next time. I guess since Shiala always lives in my pt's, I'd have to throw away all my characters...
