So, I've published my second fan-fiction. I hope you guys don't mind self-advertising. Liara/Femshep ftw! "Liara Versus The Broken Heart". Hope you enjoy!

By the way, am I the only one that feels terribly upset upon watching any Mass Effect anymore? Like the Beam Run, plaque scene or even romance scenes? :"( I honestly cried during the beam scene. Wish they went with the disney happy ending route instead. Glad the community is pretty creative and that head-canon exists, it mitigates the pain a bit.

I always imagined asari as naturally good swimmers, not hanar brilliant swimmer but very graceful and elegant in the water.
And I personally thing that they have some aquatic ancestry as well even if they have obviously evolved away from that by this point.

I always change squadmates for missions so that by the end of the game I've used them all, but I don't believe I've ever had Liara and Kaidan on the same team. I'm just curious which of the two ends up arguing for the renegade path on major decisions like the fate of the Rachni Queen or the Council, since both characters are the biggest paragons on the ME1 squad.

Yes. Most of the time I start with Wrex and Garrus, but for the endgame I pick Kaidan and Liara.
Kaidan is more Paragon then anyone else, but if you turn him, he will be even more Renegade then Wrex. ^.^

Kaidan has a little bit of a split personality in ME1. "Way to go, Team Milky Way." ( Renegade Kaidan is awesome)

On topic. I think they censored Liara's boobs pretty well.. you get a little side under boob there or whatever but yeah deff wanted the scene to play out just a little more naturally

In the lost in a wonder fanfic it is quite this way. Not focussed on it or anything but only mention boobies and related things a few times in a tasteful "scene". My vocabulary isnt good enough to descibe the way i think about this. I mean boobies and related subjects shouldnt be censcored out but not focussed on it either. That way keeps it natural.

I wonder if it has something to do with ratings systems. I know in some countries games can get away with graphic violence if the 'victims' are monsters, but if the characters are humans it gets a more mature rating or sales are restricted. Maybe something similar is at play with nudity.

Otherwise the decision by Bioware to have nude monsters in the game while Fem Shep climbs into a shower fully clothed, is a bit odd.

Yes iam fairly certain it works this way. How often do you see monsters with clothing? Usually stuff ubscured one way or another.

I always chose garrus and liara in my squad wherever possible. In ME2 i had kaidan (atleast in virmire, i knew i had to make the choice sometime there) or thane i think.

Yep I get a good dose of it most days, whenever I have alittle free time to kill, although with the Olympics starting soon I'll end up neglecting it again. Trying to catch up on all the new fanfics too, it's hard to keep up at times, I'm spoilt for choice really:D

Just out of curiosity what class of Shepard do you guys/gals play as? For me my canon Paragon Shep is an adept, love pure biotic power and my  second favourite Shep my  Renegon is an Infiltrator, love my m-98 widow, sneaking around, instant kills. I've tried all the classes with various Sheps but my favourites to roll out are my Adept, Infiltrator and Sentinel. In multiplayer I love  playing as an Infiltrator as well, although I probably ****** off a few when I get too trigger happy, sorry but the m-98 widow is too damn good, sorry for stealing your kill:lol:

Playing MP rather varied. Vanguard biotic charge shotgun combo (asari ftw) or adept lash slam combo. Infiltrator shadowstrike or sniper build. Engineer not so much. Sentinel didnt try yet. And on gold usually devastator sholdier with N7 typhoon.

My one male Shep playthrough I did is a soldier too, loved having all the guns in ME2 and tearing up enemies with carnage. In multiplayer Krogan and Vorca soldiers are absolute beasts, takes alot to put em down, in gold challenges I always pick my Geth engineer with my fav assault rifle the mattock, the N7 destroyer that I unlocked recently is also pretty tough too, good crowd control option to have in any party^_^

I pretty much only use Kaidan and Liara in ME 1, (my two favourite characters) and if i'm remembering correctly as it's been a few months since I last played, Liara always takes the renegade lines unless you have renageded Kaidan.

Now that you mention it I think I remember someone saying ages ago in one of the other Liara threads, that Liara administers the coup de grace to Saren if you bring her and Kaidan for the final battle. Though I guess that would be reversed if you make Kaidan more renegade.

I always bring Garrus and Liara for the final battle in ME1, and Garrus is always the one to blast Saren.

My canon Shep is a paragade male soldier. As far as LI goes, Liara in ME1, Miranda in ME2, Liara again in LotSB (played after ME2) and Liara in ME3.

Love the asari in multiplayer too but like you I prefer the adepts to the vanguards, in general I steer clear of picking vanguards in multiplayer, whenever I play as them my connection seems to f-up<_<

As to Liara, there were a alot of things that she did not know in ME3. I just put it down to her network crumbling beneath her due to the war while others elsewhere on the board call her useless. There is even a cartoon where Shepard and Liara discuss all the things that she did not know and the last panel shows her holding up socks ... "I found your socks." I did laugh at the cartoon because it was true.

My main two Shepards are ... EW Shepard - Infiltrator & PV Shepard - Soldier ... not a big biotic fan tbh

In context of renegade control, I have a hard time believing that the events that transpired at the end would remain a secret, especially since people would ask who the hell the Reapers believe they are to become their new galactic overlord. In that case I think Catalyst!Shepard would step foward to explain the situation.
