Yeah, Liara skin tone now is a darker and a more vibrant blue. Liara skin tone in Mass Effect 1 was a soft blue. I think they changed it because it looks better and the light makes her darker blue seem better.SergeantSnookie wrote...

Probably because the deep blue is more radiant, vibrant, and reflects light better - look at how her eyes are able to *shine* as that color in LotSB and ME3.
Although I find both eye colors equally stunning, you might be right about the darker color reflecting light better. I wonder if that is the reason they went with the darker blue. I'd be tempted to say that maybe they thought it gave Liara a more mature look, except Samara seems to have been given Liara's original eye color.
They changed her skin tone a bit too, maybe the darker eyes just went better with it?

My guess is that both characters were given a few freckles to make them stand out a bit more than from the non-squadmate Asari. They wanted both to look unique.

Thessaly77 - That's okay ... For some odd reason a FemShep wanting her own children seems to throw people when she is paired with Liara.
I think that wording is what’s throwing you most of all. Asari children would be ‘her own’ just as much as one she birthed. This has a really uncomfortable vibe of discounting a father’s bond to me, I’m sorry. I think—hope—most don’t think of it that way, which is why it’s so common that Liara is mostly considered the default ‘mother’.

@Ajosraa - Speaking of Mass Effect 4 ... I know that Casey once said that a trilogy like Shepard's story would probably never happen again ... but ... do you think they may try it seeing how fans loved it? Following one character through three games?
I doubt it, I think there was an interview pre-ME3 where Casey said that they would most likely not ever again make something as big as the Mass effect trilogy, as far as I understood it seemed like this project was rather risky and EA will proberly not want to.
But if we are lucky, they might instead of a trilogy try a 2 game series set in the ME universe, I think Bioware really could pull that off and make two great games.

Regarding the facial textures, most Asari actually do not have unique ones interestingly enough. Not even characters like Aria and Tevos. It's all just a combination of an almost colorless base texture (very similar to Liara's) + several 'masks' for facial markings, etc. + 'tints' to give it all color.
Quite fascinating how many different looks can obviously be created with these ...
Judging by the far older but still freckled Samara, I'd say they will stay. Allthough they might fade or 'shrink' a bit over time.shepard1038 wrote...

P.S. Who is on your "10 Most Annoying ME Characters" list?

2: Ashley - jerk + jerk to liara
3: Joker - Kiss interrupter

5: Udina - traitor + being a huge dick (even though possibly indoctrinated)
6: Tali - jerk to liara (airlock to geth dreadnaught)

Oh, Liara is definitely the most attractive of the characters, to me. She also seems the most expressive and realistic, not overplayed to an extreme - she has a lot of subtle movements and expressions that you see real people do, that aren't usually captured well in animation, but they are done really well with her.
I also just really like her exotic alien allure. Being blue, and the skin texture, the head crest and all - it works on her.
Yep, one of the things i love about her are the really subtle movements. Like for example the smile in the memory scene. The walk gif. And my all time fav the time capsule scene!

Dark colors dont reflect light better. If they did they would be lighter.

As for your point 6. - if anyone was being a jerk in that scene, it was Liara (I'm thinking of the variation where Shepard goes back to Liara in ME3 after romancing Tali in ME2). I actually like the fact that she is shown to have a temper and is prone to some jealousy outbursts, but she was honestly out of line there.
And while we're on the subject of that scene, it seemed weird to me that Shepard did nothing to stop the cat-fight... broShep can be such a pus*y

Very, very nice..keep it up. I can see Liara bring Shepard a cup of coffee to bed after they spent the night together. Though my Shep doesn't drink coffee. She tried it but it tasted not good. ^^

Ah, interesting. I'm honestly surprised you went through that kind of effort - iirc you've only shown Liara naked from the waist up in your images, I mean.

Yeah, it is. As for the "freckles", the freckles and eyebrows both are really just facial markings like you see other Asari have, just in the shape of what we recognize as freckles and eyebrows. Basically, this means they will stay her entire life, unless Asari facial markings shift and change shape over the course of their life.
