I'm actually going to be gone on Wednesday, talking about trips. Driving over to France (Finally got my damn car fixed after a nasty crash a few weeks back.) I'll only be gone for about 6 days, but I guess its safe to assume I'll have a ridiculous number of pages to catch up on when I get back?

It's not something that can make or break a romance, but it can be a factor, whether it's something on a subconscious level or not. And after all, this is roleplaying - and most of the time you find yourself playing or writing other characters, so there's no harm in thinking about this.

Well, like I said. Narratively speaking, I suppose you could try to see about an interesting story based on the attributes.

Anyway, she´s important because she is the only specimen who is actually capable of melding like a true asari. All the others just looked like blue women with hair tentacles:?.

And as for the banshee: I had never tried ryncol before, and Moree decided not to tell me that she wasn´t the asari dancer that was performing that day.

 Hey Liara folks!

I'm combining my two loves and started an immense project of creating all the Mass Effect characters in the Sims 3. I have a few pictures posted of Liara, Ashley, and Kaidan right now and I'm looking for critique from the character's fans. Since you guys know Liara better than I do, I would appreciate any feedback you all could give me. I want her to be perfect before I upload her to the Sims 3 forums for sharing. 

Anyway, I should let you know that since EA neglected to add "head tentacles" as a hair option, Liara (and all other asari I make) will have to do with the bun since it looks the closest. It was colored to resemble her skin tone though. I think I will go back and redo a couple of things (eyes, chin, etc) but if you notice anything else that need work, please let me know.







So yeah, let me know what you guys think. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. If you're interested at seeing the other characters that I have so far, you can see them on my blog.

Oh, you most certainly will have a lot to read, believe me - anything more than a day and it's exhausting, really, I just managed to read it all myself! Hopefully you'll have a good trip - can't promise that the thread wouldn't have exploded in the meantime, though.

It doesn't work like that because you're not a fictional character that somebody is playing or writing.

I don’t see why it should work any differently, for best fidelity.

Like I keep saying, I just do not understand the concept myself. I don’t understand what the goal is. If you do, you’re most welcome to keep on puzzling out what ‘best’ means. I offered what little input I had from my perspective.

It doesn't work any differently for the characters, but it's different for the author, because he/she is writing or playing them, and in that way deciding what the 'best' match is for their Shepard - a fictional character that they shape out the details for, and that's just one of the many. That is my interpretation of the concept.

Right, so you have to define ‘best’ for the question to really be answerable.

On what basis is such a decision made? If neither option feels natural to pick, then you either do it as mother nature does and roll a die, or you lay out the result that you wish to achieve and then count the beans to see who gets closest.

Maybe this Shepard needs some kind of subtle therapy with all his trauma? Half of us will think one character is going to be better at it than the other.

This really is a lot of roleplaying at work here, especially in jtav's case when he has laid out a lot of  details about his Shepard that we can't have them come into play into the game directly - such as the extended background information. I think something like that is enough to be able to decide which LI feels the most natural choice, hence why I offered my view about it and what I personally felt would be natural. And here lies the difference, where people can have different interpretations about the character because it's a fictional one and can have discussions about it, when in reality a real person would know him/herself and falling in love would be a truly natural thing that nobody else can define for him or her.

I saw this question on the Sam thread and I thought it was interesting so I'll just insert Liara. If Liara was given the three choices by the catalyst which choice would you think she'd choose? And you can elaborate if you like.

Destroy, probably. I don't think she'd choose Synthesis, (maybe intrigued by the concept of it though) and I don't know if she'd trust herself with Control.

She wouldn't like synthesis. My guess is destroy and in second place control. But i don't know if she would take the risk. She probably wouldn't risk choosing control and instead would choose destroy.

Oh yeah, our banshee girl really likes to swing dem hips. Maybe I should stop distracting her with terrible music videos every day while the cleaning crew is in her room to remove all those gnawed off bones ...
And what did you expect? Mr. Moree sits in the same departement / building as I and that fire almost interrupted his work for a second! From what I heard he even had to cough once very slightly when traces of smoke entered his office!!!!    !!   !!!

But back to your experiment: That asari / human thingy doesn't by any chance prefer the Ardat Yakshi way of melding? Then we could just follow the trail of soul-sucked corpses or something ...

In my honest opinion. After watching her homeworld fall, she would definitely pick destroy.
In fact, I can see all the Normady crew from ME3 pick destroy, well minus EDI.

@CrimnsonN7: I think she might go for control, actually. It would remind me a bit of the way she took on the Shadow Broker's identity a little. Although I do realize that the two situations are completely different, Liara strikes me as the type to try and do good with her enemies' resources. That said, Mavqt makes a good point about wanting revenge for Thessia. Plus, in LotSB, she's already killed the Shadow Broker, so coopting his network didn't mean leaving him alive.... Heck I can actually picture a situation where she picks Synthesis. She prizes knowledge so highly, she might be really reluctant to lose all those past civilizations' experiences.

But, my first choice is Control. (Paragon control. I don't see Liara wanting the Renegade Control ending).
