Three, not four? Aw well, I would like to think she would choose Refusal on the same principles as Shepard would, but otherwise I think she would choose destroy.CrimsonN7 wrote...

Does the Catalyst mention that Synthesis is only possible because Shepard is partly Synthetic? can't remember.shepard1038 wrote...
Synthesis wouldn't work, because she isn't partly synthetic. Shepard is. Or does Synthesis can work, even if the person isn't partly synthetic?

No strike that. I could see her greatly tempted by control, but after all the reapers have done, and what they are.... I lean more towards her choosing destroy with one big biotic tempest of destructive power. Especially if shes been hanging around with my shep all 3 games. Not to mention thessia, her mother, Saren, those salarians, every type of husk, and oh yea killing shepard - she's seen all the crap reapers can do first hand and is greatly disgusted by every aspect of it, that spite might just be overpowering enough to push her into destroy.
Synthesis - im sure she'd be intrigued by the theory, but I cant see her acting with only some self sacrificing nobility to throw everything down and do it without the proper scientific research to back it all up - sacrificing EVERYTHING for that ''utopian'' tommorow. That is a huge sudden change... one I don't think she'd pick. But then again she has just about as much evidence to support control and destroy as well so...bleh.
Edit: Catalyst doesn't make mention of implants being necessary i dont think... but really Its all space magic, no one knows how synthesis works. lol he just says add your energy to the crucibles, your organic self, the essence of what you are will be broken down and dispersed.

@Shepard1038: Oh, that's a good point! I didn't think of that. Do we actually know if Synthesis works for those who are 100% organic? What about Kasumi? She has a greybox. I don't think a pacemaker would count.... (Don't mean to sound facetious. I'm seriously wondering.)
OMG Lol Batlass:lol: You deserve some cupcakes for that:D

Personally I think she would abhor the idea of synthesis as it is a gross violation of your free will, it's unethical and just generally the idea is creepy as f*ck, so much for the beauty of diversity eh<_< Like some have stated I'm leaning towards Destroy myself although the Control option would tempt her:whistle:
@ Doozer you're a gal of her word, I salute you for your dedication to our corrupted asari sisters:wizard: Lord knows I don't have the stomach for it:P

I agree. After all the reapers have done i don't think Liara would choose control. And after she losed her homeplanet she would want revenge. I was curious if the person had to be partly synthetic. I see you changed your avatar.

Personally, I don't see her refusing ... Liara did not take Shepard's body and refuse TIM's questionable request. She was willing to risk everything in hopes it would bring the Commander back. Shepard was really lucky that she did not end up like David or a ME3 Cerberus soldier or half rachni - half woman.
And if Javik thought she was pissed ... those reapers would find out just what she felt when she saw her homeworld destroyed ... as she marched up to the destroy tube.
EDIT: *sees doozer's avatar* "Oh, my ...

Can't get the wording right in this sentence.
"After he was dealt with, Alestia summoned a throw detonating the rift like a gory firework of blood and innards."
To be on topic.

I told you it was an accident!! How did I know that the three different colored buttons all lead to the same conclusion (read explosion)?? I believe our jesters Mac and Casey were also punished for it (or so I was told).
Anyway, she´s important because she is the only specimen who is actually capable of melding like a true asari. All the others just looked like blue women with hair tentacles:?.
And as for the banshee: I had never tried ryncol before, and Moree decided not to tell me that she wasn´t the asari dancer that was performing that day.
Damn you Moree<_<
And what did you expect? Mr. Moree sits in the same departement / building as I and that fire almost interrupted his work for a second! From what I heard he even had to cough once very slightly when traces of smoke entered his office!!!! !! !!!
(!)
But back to your experiment: That asari / human thingy doesn't by any chance prefer the Ardat Yakshi way of melding? Then we could just follow the trail of soul-sucked corpses or something ...
So, that´s where all those bones in the garbage can came from. Thought it was the varren who had been in the labs freezer where I store my samples.
Well, at least she´s not sending me withered flowers, calling me late at night only to hang up after ruining my hearing with a high pitched scream or spamming my e-mail with that omni-tool pic we took during our drunken ehmmm.... "encounter"
*looks at doozer´s profile pic*
Goddamnit!! How vindictive can this creature be???? *sigh* guess I will never get rid of her:(
Hey! It´s not my fault I love to blow... Eh... that the omni-tool configurations were crap. And you got a nice arena instead isn´t that good enough??
Oh btw: Seriously Ananas, you guys just wouldn´t listen to my instructions: Use the damn tinfoil hats!
Now I have 9 asari on my hands who say they are pregnant:?

Definitely not Synthesis; I think it's clear by her reactions to the genophage, to Salarian ideas of uplifting the Yahg and to the revelation of Prothean meddling in asari development that she strongly opposes these sorts of imposed involuntary "improvements". And given her reactions to the various Reaperised ground troops I think she would be very weary of just what the Reaper King's ideas of synthesis improvements even are.CrimsonN7 wrote...
Welcome back Mumba & Moreeman:wizard: you've got alot of catching up to do you missed some gems;)
I saw this question on the Sam thread and I thought it was interesting so I'll just insert Liara. If Liara was given the three choices by the catalyst which choice would you think she'd choose? And you can elaborate if you like.
So, Control... I think she might be tempted by the idea, not because the power would appeal to her, but because it doesn't sacrifice synthetics and, probably more importantly, because of how much good the repurposed Reapers could do, especially in a war-devastated galaxy.
But ultimately, I'm not sure she would trust herself with the power. She's already concerned about how her SB position has affected her and that she might abuse her power under the right circumstances. With the exponentially more power she has to consider now, I don't know that she would be willing to risk the entire galaxy on her ability to first control them and then restrain herself.
Also, I think Thessia's fall would certainly be on her mind when considering her decision, but not so much as motivation for personal revenge; rather, she would probably realise that after the magnitude of horrors the Reapers had inflicted on the galaxy, future cooperation with them would simply be impossible, people would not trust nor accept them. So, with doubts about how much good the controlled Reapers could even do and fears of what abuse of their power could lead to, I think she would ultimately reject Control.
Refuse? No, don't think so. She'd have her doubts about the real purpose and origin of the Crucible when she discovers the true nature of the Catalyst, but once she's gotten this far she'd go all the way. Her own conscience and morals be damned, she would not let them distract her and would just focus on what she has to do.
