"New ME3 DLC, Leviathan: undermining the entire series to retcon support for Catalyst and Synthesis, or *completely* undermining it?"

"Send Shephard on a mission to discover a being that can destroy the Reapers. But obviously doesn't so the ending can be preserved."

Posting this again just because.

For me, it's sort of the opposite. I've always had the notion of "Buy game... pirate DLC," I know it's unethical, but we're paying for so much already and it's felt like a rip-off, but I feel inclined to buy this because I have faith it'll be a sample of the quenessential Mass Effect experience. I believe that Bioware have learnt from their mistakes and will present this as perhaps a love letter or reconciliation to Mass Effect fans to win them over. I know I'm hoping for too much with just tiny DLC, but I still believe Bioware can bring back the old ME1 magic perhaps ( storytelling and characters wise )

I don't know that you're hoping for too much.  I certainly felt like LotSB was a response to fans' frustrations in terms of story and character development, so you could argue that there's precedent on your side.  At the very least, I certainly hope that you're right.

I prefer Bioware games over those of other developers largely because of the worlds and stories they created, so
any expansion on that was always eagerly anticipated by me, and I didn't mind paying for something I considered high quality.  After the ME3 ending though, I'm a little leery.  That's why I'm going to wait until people who feel similarly about Mass Effect have had a chance to play the new DLC before I invest.

So tell me what you think of it when you get it!!  :D

Edited for formatting.

Liara  use your biotic or the  hurricane I gave you.

Introducing Firefight Weapons Pack, 7 new weapons so crappy you'll just stick with the Predator and Locust anyway .

Actually, joking aside, at least 4 of the 5 MP weapons are really sweet (the exception being the Geth SMG); don't know anything about the two completely new weapons though. Still, while 160 MS points (2€/$2) isn't much I'm not really likely to ever use any of the new weapons.

In other news, the price of Leviathan is also known - as expected it's 800 MS points (10€/$10).

Because i don't rely on Mass Effect fan reviews. That means I liked ME3? Did you not see Metacritic fan reviews and people boycotting the game. And it is false that only a few liked ME3. They are a lot of people in BSN that liked the Game and outside of BSN.

I’m not sure what you’re saying and I don’t really want to continue this argument. I’ll simply say that I find the reviews by the fans to have given a far more accurate picture of the game than the ‘professional’ reviews did.

Doozer, your avatar continues to terrify me. Don't you miss Starbuck?

@frudi: Where did they list the price? They haven't put out a more definite release date, have they?

Why? Personally I use critic reviews and fan reviews. But because of al the outrage with the endings and people boycotting the game im doubting reading a fan review. Unless is from this thread.

Batlass, the prices were listed on their blog. Sadly no more concrete info on the release date (for Leviathan, the weapon pack noone cares about is coming next week).

New weapons???? AWESOME!! *reads post again*

Ehhmmm... Weapons, yeah, how boring, don´t know why anyone cares about a weaponpack:whistle:

BTW: Has anyone seen this thread http://social.biowar...ex/13476647/5??

Seems like the "My favorite character didn´t get much content, it must be that stupid Asari´s fault!!!111" are still alive and kicking. Thought they died out a few months ago.

Given what I have read of Leviathan so far, its just seems to be there to undermine control, so Synthesis is the only ending left with no negative downside to it. <_<

That said, I do think the DLC looks nice so I will most likely give it a go, and maybe I will even get suprised by it?

Fire, crowbars, moldy wonderbread, chainsaws, and headshots... its the only way to deal with these kinds of problems.  Man the Liara thread defenses wisely with this new weapons pack!

And yes.  People are always bored enough to hate.

Im curious to see what leviathan has to say actually, what kind of flim flamming jibber jabber nonsense bioware came up with to explain it (not 10$ curious, more .25 curious. - you know just in case it pulls a catalyst and claims it takes too long to explain and therefore won't elaborate on it's tomfoolery - im only out a quarter) - and... **** synthesis, traitors of control will be hung, drawn, and quartered...a couple times.... and put on display in orbit around earth while theyre limbs are used in the construction of new relays!  ....They will rue the day their collected civilization gathered in a convenient shell to turn against THE SHEPARD.  After all thats been done for them, .. horrid, ungrateful wretchs.. respect my authority!

Perhaps... though I remember 1753, I might settle for just knocking you out and tying you up so you won't cause any damage untill I can find Moreeman with something to make you cool down again Image IPB

If it´s any help I think we still have some ruffies... I mean tranquilizers stored in the lab over at PETA.

I don´t currently need them since I already have enough humans to turn
into asa... Sorry, what I mean is I have enough specimens to use in my
perfectly legal experiments.
