I'm sure she'll always remember you, and keep something with her at all times.

Speaking of which, what memento would you get for Liara, so she'll always remember you?

Shepard's old dog tags

Shepard is almost entirely cybernetic. I wouldn't be surprised if he could live for hundreds of years.

He's still going to die, leaving Liara alone for hundreds of years. Nothing is going to rule out that.

Maybe Shep and Liara will end up getting divorced because their relationship is too dependent on the impending destruction of all spacefaring species. Maybe they'd settle down and realise Liara's initial analysis was correct and they have nothing in common (not even Saren wanting them dead any more).
Any suggestions on how Shepard and Liara could avoid this scenario and get over the differences cultures and upbringing?

Um, to me it felt like they already did, rather fast.

Wow we surpassed the Ashley thread. And now only Tali, Kaidan and Miranda are left to surpass.

I think I'd try to get a locket with a picture. Or a bracelet for her, with a message written on the inside. Probably also do some vids, so she can watch some of the relationship years later. Anything that would help her still remember Shepard 800 years from now.

It would be about the same in my case, plus something warm she could embrace at nights to sleep and make her feel less alone... one of the sad moments for someone who just lost their partner is to go to bed everyday and feel the emptiness of the room.
Also a necklace or bracelet specially made for our daughter if we have any

When they're less illegal and more widely available, my Shepard wants to get a greybox of  his own. After he eventually dies, it belongs to Liara. This way she'll have Shepard's recorded memories of all the time they spent together. I know it's not necessary because Liara will remember Shepard no matter what, but I think it's a nice memento.

Of course, a locket showing Liara, Shepard and their daughter(s) -- If they have any -- would be a lot less effort and equally effective.

Ashley Williams: We're not going to make it Shepard. We won't survive this battle.
Liara: Miss Williams, I find your lack of faith disturbing.

Dosen't mind melding already accomplish the function of a grey box. Why would Shep need a grey box when he can get some and give Liara his memory.

Would it even be possible to transfer the memories of many decades of being together through mind melding? I was under the impression information can be shared (obviously since Liara/Shepard and Shepard/Shiala do just that in ME1) but the information transfered it limited. Of course I could be wrong, there's no real detailed information on this.

Robhuzz Shiala/Shepard/Liara shared the history and knowledge of an entire civilization. Asari's live for about 2000 yrs a few decade of memories shouldnt be much.

I dont know about a grey box... Liara has an incredible memory and i would be afraid that something like that keeps her too much away from reality, so i guess it wouldnt be my choice

I don't think passing Miranda is going to happen.

The thread before the current one now running on the ME2 forums is still the longest character thread. Over two thousand pages of blue.

But, if we're counting old threads, then the hundred-thousand page monster of a thread that was the Tali fan thread still takes the overall cake.

Fixed. And looking at it this way, I think you're right. A few decades of memories are easily transferred through a mind meld. Think I'll go for a locket as a memento instead..

More like a wild 1,5 minutes. The Prothean cypher transfer didn't take much longer if I recall correctly:pinched:

Link.

Most I saw was a 5,500 page Tali thread. I skipped to page 2,250, read about 20 pages and got kinda weirded out by the pictures some people were posting

Don't forget the mega Tali thread, that I think made it over 10,000.

o.O, We may love Liara oh so dearly, but, 100,000? That's a little obsissive.
She isn't even that compelling or interesting! But then again, I still see her as she was in ME1.
I rather get rejected by Samara than romance Tali. XD

No, it didn't.  That whole scene seems weird to me if you take Liara with you.  Shiala mentioned following Benezia for the past 200 years and Liara said nothing to her?  I would think Liara knows Shiala and Shiala knows Liara.  But neither say anything to the other.

Okay, maybe one hundred thousand was a bit of retrospective exaggeration on my part. Now that I think about it, yeah it was only about ten thousand pages.
