Actually, Kaidan seems to express an interest in women in ME1 regardless of Shepard's gender, he clearly thinks Liara looks good and then there is the dialog where he spills that he have visited a few extranet fetish sites with a focus on asari in pinstrip suites.

…I don’t recall that, sounds interesting!

Wasn't kaidan supposed to be bi in the first game? Never understood why they didn't go through with it.

Now back to Liara.

Ah yes, Kaidan. He accompanies Jacob in the afterlife every playthrough.

Its quite golden to see Liara bashers complaining over Liara's annoying and overbearing flirtation with Shepard during the scene on the Citadel where you can instigate a romance with her.=]

[Sees bearded Liara]

Oh god....

First  the omni-tool fetish
Then the Banshee fetish
Then the Banshee with omni-tool fetish
And now this?

This thread has gone too far in a few areas!

Indeed, and because I like this fanwork.

No, he was supposed to be available to be romanced by both Shepards. There’s a difference!

I never understood this impulse some players have to kill off members of their squad. I can understand doing something like a worst possible playthrough where (almost) everyone dies; or maybe roleplaying an incompetent Shepard that gets too many people killed along the way; but deliberately killing off only specific squadmates just because you don't like them... that just seems too disturbing to me, at least in a game where characters are as fleshed out as in ME.

You know what I mean and I know what you mean.

But it's just the overview, if you're looking at the who the Sheps can romance.

I kill off Kaidan because I prefer Ashley in every possible way.
Now to explain myself killing off Jacob, (Take note that Iv'e played through the second game about 30 times.) Iv'e tried to like aspects about him but there's NOTHING about him that I like. Every single time I see and hear him I get annoyed as his existence agitates me. The solution to this problem? Test his durability by allowing him to eat a missile.

Agreed, I never kill squadmates just for the sake of killing them. Generally I try to make sure that every companion survives. In Kotor I killed the light-sided party memebers because I played Dark Side and it is thus unavoidable, in my canon DA2 playthrough Carver died because that fitted with the story I played. But I never killed a character just becuase I did not like something about them.

Throughout the mass effect games I never cared much for seven of the eight human party memebers (I rather liked Kasumi) don't know why and some I decidingly disliked but never killed anyone in any of my playthroughs if it was avoidable.

I'm no fan of Jacob either... as a femShep player I often dread just talking to him . But having him killed over it... especially at the end of the game, when interaction with him is long behind you?
*shrugs and shakes head* I guess I'll just never get it...

edit
@Akernis: ugh, reminding me of KotOR and my one dark side playthrough. It unceremoniously ended after I had Zaalbar kill Mission. I had no problems roleplaying evil characters before, but that scene literally made me feel physically sick. I haven't been able to roleplay a properly evil character since.

Aww yay thank you Karmen this is exactly what I need to get through my day at work filled with scary freak-girls and the old cat ladies from the simpsons, oh and not to mention all these wasps that keep making these kamikaze attacks on me ^_^. And don't worry, I have no intentions to try to sneak out of your hug like mister Moreeman there did! :bandit:

*glares at Moreeman over Korkki's shoulder.*

*grabs ahold of Akernis, Yuqi, and Doozer to compensate for Moreeman shaped hole*

And Liara haters whine how thay want to kill her because they feel Bioware is forcing her on them. We've repeatedly laughed at their "arguments" in this thread.

Just like Jacob lovers (never seen one) would probably laugh at me because I despise his character.

I wouldn't say any character is forced.

But the flirtatious auto dialouge and poses are just annoying as f***.

I get all that, disliking or even despising a character, being annoyed by them... I just don't get why that would lead you to want to actually kill them.

great, most useless top ever... give me a minute

Ah, that's better. Just Liara privately enjoying her omni-toolICE-CREAM. Yeah, that's it, she just had a mouth-fool of some delicious ice-cream.

What? :innocent:
