I liked them as well, very emotional Image IPB, feeling pain in my chest again Image IPB

Here this should ease the pain: Image IPB

Shepard should had have a flashbacks showcasing all his life, but because of resources and decisions of previous games is not possible. When a flashabck happens it shows the most important people of his life and shows the person's life. Is the brain goodbye before a person dies. i actually before Mass Effect 3 released I asked for flashabcks to be implemented at the end when Shepard is about to die or make his final decision.

Yeah, that would've been really cool to get a flashback of Shepard's pre-service history etc. before he/she died. Still, Liara's smile was good enough.^_^

Agree.

One of topics father and daughter mentions that I really liked was when Aethyta talks about sex appeal and Liara defensively says "What? that is not true, Shepard listens to me", I like when Liara defends her lover and vice versa.

Meanwhile Shepard is busy spamming spacebar, getting frustrated that ambient dialogue can't be skipped.
(Seen people rage about not being able to skip all Liara dialogue.) <_<

By ME3 plenty of the girls seemed to have gotten the upgrade treatment, fanfic land had some interesting theories as to why Liara is more plentiful in ME2/3. One had it down to because of frequent melding sesions with Shep, Liara was entering into the Matron stage a little earlier than scheduled, hmm it's creative I'll give em that:whistle:The force is strong in Shep:lol:

"The Matron stage of life begins around the age of 350, though it can be triggered earlier if the individual melds frequently." -wiki (codex?) But that ain't it really, as the same thing is seen on almost everyone else too.

that was/is true i know I just got back from two basically back to back vaca's a few days ago and I can't remember if theo was back from his yet either.

I think that he is, he just does not seem to be as active as usual, which seem to apply to a couple of the regulars currently.

Those people are fools, you should eat them.
I love to listen to Liara and hear what she has to say, the only dialog I really hate not being skippable is the star brat's.

Since we're on this again, I think I'll just quote myself from a couple of pages ago:

Actually the whole ME universe seems to have undergone a period of boob inflation sometime between 2183 and 2186 B)

Hm, actually I made that post 10 pages back and it was still only 1 day ago... what was that about the thread slowing down? =]
Anyway, back to the issue of boob inflation... not that I mind it per se, but I still can't help but feel somewhat insulted; I mean, just how shallow does Bioware think us gamers are? *looks back at the last few pages of crude euphemisms* ehm... ok, nevermind, forget I said anything .
Still, between the boob jobs, cameltoes and ass-centric camera angles, it seems clear that between ME1 and ME3 Bioware decided to focus increasingly more on the hormonal teen male demographic. Perhaps that also contributed to the progressive decline of the main plot through the three games.

And I just don't understand why, ME1 was one of the first games I know that actually took a realistic and mature approach to many of those things.

Then from ME2 onwards we get catsuits instead of fully protective armour, breather masks in vacum rather than fully enclosed helmets, high-heels in combat, over-sexualisation of characters who were perfectly fine without it and of course characters whose main purpose appear to practically be sexualisation Image IPB.
Add to that certain camera angles and it it a wonder that the romance scenes are as beautiful and tasteful as they are, well Liara's anyway, I can't speak for the other character's since I have not seen them.

I got to the part in ME3 where you first meet Liara for the first time in months today. Needless to say, I'm not a huge fan of all the autodialogue, but it's kinda nice to watch Shep and Lia hit it off without me having to make every single decision for him.

I’m glad it was OK for you,  but this is a game. They’re not restricted to one or another. That’s why there’s an ‘RPG’ mode…or, you know, that’s what it should be doing, adding conversation options. Then, if you don’t care about autodialogue, you select action mode or whatever.

(Not barking at you, I just really hate the idiot who thought it was a great idea to make ME3 into a movie rather than a video game.)

Having more options and less autodialogue would solve a lot of the character hate too.

One thing I generally disliked about ME3 is that there were mostly only 2 dialogue options to choose from, being one Paragon choice and one Renegade choice. Plus the third on the left in some cases. I don't know why Bioware decided to remove the third "neutral" response in-between the paragon and Renegade choice.

^^ Nice gif. Image IPB

As to why BW decided to abandon the practical realistic approach they took with ME 1. *shrug*  They experimented, they flunked, they knew it but patted themselves on the back for daring to go where-no-gamedev-had-gone-before.

IMO I would put that smile at the same level as this one:

I do not think I have seen anyone dislike the flashbacks (or Liara's specificly) in this thread.

Flashback is one of the most heartwrenching things, fitting for Shepard's last thoughts.

Nope you got it

But for me though Liara in chocolate is too messy, there'd be nougat in Shep's hair, the sheets would be ruined and so forth, sooo...

Liara: you are the best father a girl could want

That was probably the only thing that annoyed me from LotSB and foreward, that they felt the need to increase Liara's breast size, I really liked that she was more ordinarily well-proportioned without it it having to spill out into sex appeal.
