Not even Jack can resist her! :P

@Lizardviking, yes I see your point, I just think it's nice that Liara doesn't back down even if someone is harsh to her.

My advice to the Miri/Jack confrontation is that you complete the loyalty missions as soon as possible (at low level to be precise). For some reason the "confrontation" requires less para/rene points that way.

But yeah, it's really a pain in the quad to play as a "paragade" or "renegon" cause of those darn things. <_<

Yeah its cause your ability to do the red/blue dialogue options is dependent on how many points could be attained by your Shepard, wherever you are in the game.

Maybe not insult but Shepard acts rather harsh at times if I remember correctly. Althrough I think this was before the romance was intiated. I think renegade Shepard was just pushy when it came to the Liara romance. Not once does Shepard challenge or try to convince Liara to change her mind regarding council or whatever.

That's a good point. Yes, Shepard is harsh in the second romance dialogue. But my Shepard has her reasons.
And of course there is the option to apologize.

And I think in the third romance dialogue, when Liara says they should wait with "Embracing Eternity", the Renegade option sounds like a small flirt to me and not pushy at all.

Maybe the manShep Renegade options sound to harsh? I don't know I didn't romance her with my manShep. I could check it out though hm....

The renegade option is probably the one I'd use if it were real life. The way Liara talks about how this melding is supposed to feel made me wish Asari were real. It sounds very intriguing, wouldn't mind trying it out for myself. So when Liara talks about waiting Shepard thinks: After all this talk about how awesome this melding stuff is, you want to wait?

AFAIK the persusasion system in ME2 works like this.

You can get a certain amount of P/R points throughout the game. Each certain persuasion check has a demand (80% P for the charm option in the Jack/Miri for example).

Let's take the Miri/Jack catfight as an example again. If you wish to pull off the charm option. You must have earned atleast 80% of all available paragon points up until this point.

Basicly this means that you have to make sure that you have stick with one morality (and not take any middle dialog option either) if you wish to unlock any of the harder options. Because everytime you get to the end of a LM, there is usually a moral decision that gives a huge amount of either P or R points. So when you pick the paragon decision you will lose quite a large amount "total % of renegade points" and therefor almost make it impossible to pull off any intemidation option.

Hopefully it does not sound too confusing.

"EDIT"

But if you import has a nice boost to both renegade and paragon points then (if you play your cards right) you might be able to always have all paragon or renegade option available I think.

Isn't she? :pinched: Thankfully her tease in the cabin scene was better and worked out for the better.

I always import characters with full paragon or renegade bars and I wasn't able to resolve the miranda/jack conflict in one of those playthroughs. Importing gives you a nice boost though and will give you a little more freedom when choosing how to resolve a situation (either paragon or renegade)

The order of when you do each mission also plays a critical role. I remember my first playthrough I was not able to resist Morinth's lovely charms. But then I replayed that Shepard later (did the same decisions etc) played all the missions in another order and was in the end able to scrounge enough poitns together to do the paragon check to resist Morinth's domination.

Also doing mission where you intent to do the renegade speech check (if you play paragon for exaomple) as early as possible.

As for what it says.

"Got lines ready for session with one of our awesome actresses tomorrow. Love it when asari matriarchs trash-talk..."

Could this be our favorite Asari's "father"? :D

An asari matriarch talking trash. Can't think of anyone but Aethyta at this point... Unless there's more like her...

Aria?

Yeah, and it pisses me off a little bit. *sigh*

As a Liara fan, I should not judge her. She looks always great<3

LOL! Good one, and you're definitely right. I thought she talked a lot of trash early in ME2. Only I don't think Aria is a matriarch yet. Could be her though, I imagine Aria will have a bigger role in ME3 than she had in ME2. I'm hoping for Aethyta though, from what I saw of her in the Lotsb vids she'd be useful to have on our side.

She is the only Squadmate in ME1 my Renegade apologizes to, so +1 for strong personality. If you go Renegade on Kaidan, he will eventually agree with you, but Liara will stay true to her Paragon ways.
After LotSB, I think Liara is still a very sweet and caring person, she is just more experienced now.

Agreed. I was kind of thinking about how jarring the change in Liara was from 1 to 2 (just finished 1 again...gods, I love that game), but after that last post I thought about Liara's responses to a positive Shepard at the end of LotSB, and the old Liara is definitely back -- just more mature, experienced, and ready to kick cloaca. I actually have this image of my primary Paragon Shep trying to talk her into ditching the Sith Factory Shadow Broker base so they can go into adventure archaeology together, and her saying she wants to go into the hero business with him instead. That's right, I think it'd be awesome for Liara to talk my Shep out of retiring from the Spectres and into living excitingly ever after on the Normandy.Posted Image

He's just saying, the face in the demo isn't final. So who knows. She might start getting more scaly, and wearing a red wig in ME3.

Liara so has to walk into Shep's room wearing a wig just for giggles. Are humans the only species with hair? Also ears don't seem very common, how do asari wear glasses? Personally I imagine they wear monocles.

Long hair wise, yeah. Unless the Quarians prove otherwise. Surprised humans haven't started a fashion statement, like what the asari did with the salarians.

Artists get to work! Liara in a monocle and top hat is requested

To be honest, does anyone wear glasses? I would assume laser eye surgery, which is already effective now, would be mandatory for anyone in the Alliance and probably affordable for the general public anyway

And we all know that whatever face she is going to have will be based on what we saw in the ME3 demo. So I think her looks are already set in stone.

Yeah, when I saw that, I'd say it's a safe bet Casey doesn't want to change her back to her LOTSB look.
