Yeah that can happen, if you go straight to the kid. Just walk around  as long as you can. But some of the voices only happen in certain seqences..

@Mumba

Padok is awsome.

Padok, best replacement character and do I dare say, better then Mordin. *cowers* Don't shoot me.:unsure:

I agree, he is my favorite replacement as well. I felt worse about killing padok then I did mordin. Although the only character I enjoy killing is kaidan, if there was an option to throw him into acid..

HA! I have similar thoughts. Magma sounds more enticing.

Hmnn, no magma is too quick. Kaidan needs a slow tortures death..

@shepard1030
Yes,  but I dont like how Rengade Shepard looks 'guilty'.  BUt overall I tend to kill mordin most times,and wrex too.

@mavqt
Yes, and it pisses me off because I loathe kaiden with a passion, but oh well, at least it's not as bad as Jacob.

I can't find that nice hugging pic of Liara and *shudder*brotherlookalike/sheploo..And Ir eally don't want to go through DA right now because of all the tasteless mods featuring Liara.  I can't seem to find it on tumblr either.

(Actually this thread is the sanest one on the BSN. One of the few threads that dosn't get into a 'shepard' war, often.And thank goodness for that, because the  'shepard-war' drives me up the friken wall.)

Do you think the alliance will let Shepard keep the Normandy after the war?

No, although we tend to think of the Normandy as Shepard's ship it actually belongs to the Alliance. Shepard no more owns it than the captain of a naval vessel in the real world owns the ship he's been placed in command of.
When Shepard either retires or gets promoted out of that command, the Normandy would pass to another commanding officer.

Also maintaining and fueling a warship would be ridiculously expensive. Even if Shepard was given ownership of the Normandy I doubt he'd want to keep it. I read an article today about some historical society that operates a B-17 Flying Fortress. It costs $4000 an hour to keep that bird airborne.  The space shuttle apparently used to eat about 2.2 million dollars worth of fuel for a single mission. I shudder to think of what the fuel costs would be for a space craft that is fueled by metallic hydrogen. Posted Image

In short, I think only organizations like Cerberus or the Alliance can afford the Normandy.

I doubt the alliance would let another person other than Shepard command the Normandy. Even more so if he dies.

A player can head canon anything they like of course, but it wouldn't work that way if the Alliance even remotely resembles a real world military.

I can't imagine the Alliance would be willing to part with a frigate that represents the state of the art of both human and Turian military engineering, and likely costs the equivalent of billions of dollars.

why not, military vessels are given new commands all the time, no matter the service record or who commanded them best. They're military assets, not personal shuttles. That and the cost of maintaining that thing, funding the crew, gas, and the fact anywhere you go in it will be viewed with suspicion as either alliance or council involvement... you're crews gonna need to come from somewhere reputable and specially trained to get assigned to one of the galaxies most renowned frigates. I can't see them allowing Shepard to keep it for recreational or personal purposes, it would go back into government hands until it stops functioning or becomes obsolete.
Granted I do think they would depend on Shepard to choose the next CO if she should choose to leave the Alliance...or stop being a spectre.

Thats not true. And the Normandy SR2 isn't an alliance ship, Cerberus built it. They don't even have the right to take that ship. And if it have been that way the alliance would have took the SR1 from the planet that it crashed.

As beautiful as that Smile is, the only way to get it is by killing Garrus in ME2. That's not gonna happen. :?

So you havn't got a 'kill as many as you can' playthrough?It makes the dreams much more disturbing..all those voices..

Yes it does.  I have one Shepard with Liara too who only had Tali, Garrus, Kasumi, and Mordin left.

The ship is not shepard's either then, never has been.  So why should she or he have the right to keep it?  The only people that have put money into her (the normandy) is cerberus and the alliance.   Closest thing we have to ownership there - unless Shep want's to start contributing (without reimbursement after every mission), oooh or maybe Liara can buy and sponsor her, SB needs a new ship right?  Liaras the new ''CO'', oh the fun she could have... *grins*:devil: or maybe she'd just be the new Inara onboard the mass effect version of firefly *shrugs* lol Edit: had to find the image:

Anyways,  I'm not a fan of the idea of militaries giving away highly advanced warships/frigates/vessels and sensitive military equitment as trophies (unless theyre incredibly obsolete and gutted), or relying on the galaxies charity because Shepard saved them all (even though they cant really afford it) - but thats just me.  Everyone's head canon differs im sure though.

What isn't true? The part about how real world militaries function?

The SR2 is an Alliance vessel as of ME3. As an illegal organization Cerberus had no legal rights to it, and the Alliance seized the vessel, retrofitted it, and reflagged it.

The SR1 likely wasn't salvaged because in addition to being considered a grave site (much like sunken ships) it was a debris pile.
