I'm...looking forward to it. Wouldn't call myself hyped, but I'm looking forward to it nonetheless.

If it wasn't more or less confirmed that there is more squad/romance dialogue I probably wouldn't even bother.

Not hyped, no. I am slightly intrigued by what the writers have come up with regarding the Reapers and their origins, but I am not expecting much after they already ruined them with Starbrat and then only made it worse in EC. Still, I'm not going to fool myself that I won't get it within hours after it's available *curses own weak will*

Gee, thanks for making me feel old for knowing those "big DLCs that could easily be considered a game in itself" used to be called expansions:P. They'd probably still be called that if anyone actually cared to make them anymore... :(
And to answer your question - Shale, but that was free and available on release day, so I consider it part of the original game. Other than that, probably Return to Ostagar; the others just felt too disconnected from the main game.

No problem, glad you like it ^_^. Consider it a wholly inadequate "thank you" for creating some of my favourite Liara pictures ;)

Pretty much this, I am really looking foreward to hearing more from Liara, but not particularly the story in itself.

@ruby: Is that the "Liara before ME" comic? The one that is apparently not going to be like an 80s action movie?

*Narrows mask eye-slits suspiciously* Hey, mavqt, is that a new avatar? (Also, I need a nickname for you, because my fingers always have to type "mavqt" at least three times before I get it right. How do we feel about just plain old "mav?")

Finally managed to write a bit more of my fic, for whatever reasons I find writing the dialog between Liara and Shepard more challenging than expected.

Anyway, just a small snippet.

“My sources said you were alive, but I never believed… It’s very good to see you.” Liara said with half a smile, for whatever reasons, it seemed as what she said was not in full sincerity.

“It’s… It’s good to see you too, Liara.” Charlie replied, returning with his own smile, one that quickly disappeared again. Right now, he was rather unsure on how to act. There was a moment of silence between them, he continued, trying to make conversation.

“So, it’s been a long time huh?” Charlie said. Liara however, simply gestured him to sit down at the table, before sitting down herself.

“I guess it has.” Liara plainly answered, both having finally sat down, her lack of interest in saying anything had taken Charlie back. Once again there was a pause between them.

“I came here for information to help me on my mission. A justicar named Samara and Thane, a drell assassin. I was told you could help me.” Charlie started again, breaking the silence.

“Yes, I have already tracked these two individuals and I will provide you with all the information I have.” Liara had quickly turned her head down afterwards, rapidly tapping different buttons on the holographic keyboard in order to send the information. Having executed the order, she leaned back in her chair, starring at the man in front of her, raising an eyebrow.

Once again silence built between them.

“Anything else?” She asked, her tone carrying mild annoyance. Charlie was simply puzzled; did she not have any desire to talk at all?

“Thanks for the information, but, Liara… I did not come here solely for business. I came here for you; I wanted to see how you were doi-.”Charlie said, once again trying to get into contact with the asari, Liara however stopped him before he could finish.

“I am doing quite fine, Charlie.” Liara said, there was an obvious show of irritation in her; she leaned forward again, continuing “As you can see I have managed to build a network for myself.”

“So I’ve heard, although when I came back I halfway expected to find you on a dig site on Ilos, you stopped being an archeologist?” Charlie asked, trying to keep the conversation going. His heart had already sunk even further, dismayed at everything he had seen so far.

“Yes. After you were gone I turned my attention to other issues, besides, being an information broker is not as different as being an archeologist. The only difference is that the dead bodies still smell here.” Liara answered, Charlie grimaced slightly at her last words.

My goal here was to have the conversation be somewhat barren and cold, I wanted the capture the feel the conversation the Illium cameo had with Liara being distant and not wanting to talk.. Do you guys think I suceeded at that?

No, the comic is set during the 6 months pre-ME3.

Came across a thread on reddit with a nice little gallery of Liara screenshots detailing her changed appearance through the games. Nothing we here haven't already noticed and discussed at length, but it's still a nice collection of screenshots in one place :). And some of them are pretty good, like:

Also found a blog of someone posting some cool very high-res flycam screenshots from ME3, including the occasional shot of our favourite asari:

@Lizardviking: that’s not ‘somewhat’ cold, it’s quite firmly so. I’m not sure what your ultimate goal is with the characters, so that may be good or bad?

There’s a few additional things I’d change in the writing, stylistic for the most part. Can PM.

Meh. I don't really care about the hanar and the comics have been consistently disappointing so...

As for Leviathan, I suspect it's a thinly disguised fix for the ending; by providing more, reliably exposition earlier you fix Shepard turning into a complete retard and just taking Godchild's word for everything. ["My God! This is what must have happened to Haestrom! He's right, this really is our only hope!"].
I'm not paying Bioware to fix the ending.

Having said that, I wouldn't have bought it anyway until such a time that Casey Hudson resigns on grounds of deceptive advertising (since they already refused a refund)

Yeah, I keep trying, but I cannot for the life of me find anything labeled 'pre-release characters.'

I'm not the most computer saavy sort, as you can probably see.

Though I had not noticed that her skin was that textured already in LotSB, I thought it was only ME3 they introduced that, though it is obviously more pronounced there.

Do a start menu search for the char name AFTER you create one and save it?  (make it a unique one when you create the char so its easy to find)

look I did the same today so listen (read) to me
first of all create a new character with the editor (forget about that "documents....")
when you FINISH creating the character, you will see how the editor creates in your pc that folder:

Documents > Bioware > Dragon age > Pre-release Characters.

THEN is when you have to copy-paste your new avatar image in that folder
-the image has to have the SAME name as your char (for example my character was called "banshee" and my avatar pic is called "banshee_portrait.png")

then you reenter the character creator and modify the character you originally created (really you don't need to do anything, just "next, next, next..." and then in the last page of the editor, login and upload profile)

THEN WAIT because this can be too slow (I took 1h more or less) and you'll have the new avatar uploaded. then you only need to enter your profile (like you'd do if you wanna change your avatar) and in the right box you'll find the new one.

hope this will help you

edit:
just some blue-grey:devil:
