Aw, I missed the photobombing of page 1900? Boo!

Any new news on Leviathan? I've been away for a bit (clearly).

it's released the 28th august on PC, PS3 and XBOX 360. If you're from europe and have PS3 you have to wait till 29th:

http://blog.bioware....ficially-dated/

edit: dammit :bandit:'ed by Dragon_Claw haha

I have a PS3 on loan to me ATM, so does 'europe' include AU & NZ?

@Yuqi: I wouldn't think so, but I don't know firsthand....

@Crimson: I still haven't seen it! *hides face in shame* I've had a lot going on, work-wise. These super-villains, you know, they never cut a vigilante lass a break!

@mav: I liked that hug motivational. Isn't that the store clerk who says he'd name his firstborn after Shepard? When my Shepard said that that was her favorite store on the Citadel, she meant it!

Which leads me to ask: In a post-Reaper world, can you see Shepard's old crew doing celebrity endorsements for products once the galactic economy gets back on its feet? For some reason, I can picture Tali selling post-war bonds. I wonder what Liara would sell... (Although, truthfully, I don't really think she'd be willing to do ads).

Alright Oracle I get it you're busy, Batman needs you:P

In answer to your question I can totally see Joker whoring himself out to any company that offers him some free merchandise/perks/moolah for a few ads and tv spots featuring the best pilot in the universe:D

Nope, I never shot that little brat. He is not worth 1 bullet but hehe it must have been funny/raging for those people who accidently shot him and triggerd the cutscene. :P

I love that pic. I really want to be in this place right now uuuh imagination. Good night folks.

Yep.

Sad really, I'm more torn up about knowing we won't be seeing Liara again in a new game than I am about the series being over in the first place. :?

I don't like Shepard, the only reason I feel sorry for his death is because Liara is sad. Seriously.

We’ll have to disagree about the blue women.

I totally agree that it is astronomically unlikely that alien species would resemble humans. Not impossible though. It actually bothered me slightly that they did, so I came up with a theory that explains why they do and it even fits in the universe (but that is just my opinion). And I've never viewed Asari as blue women, not even back in the ME. I can only hope that I grasp the boundaries of their existence.
About Leviathan: I thought that I was done with Bioware after the EC. First I thought I loved it, then I realised how much I hated it. Now I have headcanoned my own ending and yet when I heard about Leviathan my reaction was:

Well maybe not exactly that big reaction, but I'll probably buy it asap. And if it sucks I can always headcanon it away.
P.s. I might share my theory with you guys sometimes but now I need to head to the med-bay; Those banshees really hurt me.

As for Leviathan, I suspect it's a thinly disguised fix for the ending; by providing more, reliably exposition earlier you fix Shepard turning into a complete retard and just taking Godchild's word for everything. Is anyone here actually hyped for the Leviathan DLC? Or am I not being enthusiastic?

What worries me is that this will be more about the action:
"If you look back to the LotSB for ME2 we had an amazing car chase. Leviathan has a lot of the similar sort of pieces." -Gamble

I never thought the car chase as the highlight of that DLC. Okay, the dialogue between Shep and Liara was nice, but overall, no. Also this time Shep is alone in the bottom of the sea, and apparently killing stuff: "Plans for Aug 28? What about some underwater ass kicking?" -Scylla

But yeah I'll wait for reviews and comments from actual gamers and fans before making a decision.

Ugh, I hated the car chase in LotSB, its only saving grace were Liara's comments and screams. It didn't help that I remapped my controls so the game insisted on telling me to press the wrong key for turbo; I don't even want to think about how many times Vasir got away from me because of that :pinched:
I generally don't like these sorts of scripted chases, I just don't see the point in them. At best they might be somewhat interesting the first time and at worst they're just frustrating; and they're definitely repetitive and boring on subsequent playthroughs. Chasing down Eva on Mars in ME3 is another typical offender, I hated that one even more.

I <3LOVE<3 that part and that feeling hasn't deteriorated like the ending of ME 2 has. That chase just sucks me up everytime I start the engine on that skycar. Ah the speed, Blasto advertisement, Wanted: Subject Zero and Liara commenting Shepard's driving. That piece is masterwork! Chasing Eva however... It just gets so dumb once you realise you can't catch her with Charge.

I thought those sequences were cool & a nice break from the usual shooting.

I just wish that you could take the Mako instead of the skycar. Putting that thing in 6 wheels drive & chewing up Illiums financial district like it was GTA ME!   Posted Image

Now that would be so awesome:O. Only add Wrex in it and it would be just like old times (I normally play whole ME with only Liara and Wrex, Garrus I take along for his ''loyality mission''(with Wrex, I don't think Liara would like that mission since it is just about renegadial justice) and Wrex' family armor since I need tech skill to crack that safe)

Yeah, as a rule I love almost all screenshots from the LotSB cabin scene, that's my favourite look of hers from all three games. I still prefer the new skin texture in ME3, but there's just something special about the combination of her LotSB skin tone, the matching lip colour and that dress she wears on the Normandy... it all just matches together perfectly

LotSB is my favorite look for Liara as well. I love her new texture in ME3, but LotSB is the only time during the series that we actually see Liara let her hair down...so to speak. Posted Image

It is the only time in the series where Liara isn't wearing a a labcoat or battle armor, or some other outfit associated with work. And of course she looks stunning.

I think most of them would prefer anonymity, would try their best to avoid the spotlight.

That is of course assuming that any one of them become celebrities. If history is to be a judge, their heroics will be forgotten. War heroes fade from the public view, unlike actors or musicians. If you polled most Britons and Americans I bet most couldn't name a single Victoria Cross or Medal of Honor recipient.

I picked Refuse by accident, did not even know it was possible, I was pleasently surprised it was added but very sad about hearing Liara's time capsule telling about how they failed so had to reload and go through all the unskibbable dialog with the starbrat yet again to get the Destroy ending, which seeing Liara not placing the plaque on the wall was much more satisfying.

haha I know man I could have done, but ya know... even if I support banshees, I'm not as cruel as that just to rip you because of that, in fact, I found that mistake funny, buddy:lol::lol:

haha nope I havn't picked the refuse ending. I always took the destroy one, but this time I'm starting a femshep one (always played maleshep) and I plan doing nonsense things and don't care about the war assets, just to see what happens at my ending, in which I'll chose both "control" and then reload it and chose "refuse"

sorry but I'm not the one who could answer that. If you see the link I provided you (and I bet you did) they only said what I told you: all consoles and PC on 28th and eurpean guys with PS3 on 29th. Heh, thanks, Akernis.

My newest chapter is actually only 25% mine.

I think it's a really tastefully done FShep/Liara love scene written in large part by my friend T.A. Blackwell (I'm gonna go so far as to say I think she's one of the best f/f writers out there). My heart's still melting from how sexy and sweet it is. God damn, that woman has talent ;)

EDIT: oh dangit all, top so soon? Well ok, in light of the theme of the above post...

I personally think she looks best in ME 3. I don't know if this has been discussed yet but any ideas about why her lips appear dark blue in LotSB? Every other time they are purple. Could it be that she has been wearing lipstick all this time and her lips actually are darker blue? Kinda weird for her to wear lipstick in dig site alone though.
