I see, although I do feel one can have her be paragon without being Mary-Sue.

Actually, (if memory serves me correctly) there's supposed to be a dialouge from Wrex to Liara, (about her sleeping with Shepard) in this scene. It was from the Leak,and I would've loved to have heard Wrex say it.

@ DragonClaw I get the joke, but I've seen people Ship it on tumblr to creepy levels..

They probably replaced it with the War room one.

"I liked what you've done with the Normandy, Shepard. Always got tired of hanging around the cargo bay. I still don't have a window like Liara does, but maybe that's because I don't kiss as well."

In the old script Wrex was also rather mad at the squadmates aswell (instead of simply being angry at Shepard) for defending Shepard. Here is the dialog Wrex had for a romanced Liara.

Liara: Wrex, that's not fair. Shepard's here for you now.
Wrex: And
I'll bet he's been there for you, Liara. Maybe if I'd slept with him, he wouldn't have stabbed me in the back.

Yeah, I know. We always DO talk about Liara in the beginning but then we just somehow got derailed into something completely different.

^^ She looks quite aged in that photo. Around the eyes and mouth, it looks like there are creases to signify ageing. I may be wrong, and it could be just the artist's interpretation, but it definitely looks like a matriarch Liara.

Honestly, I always imagined Liara's face to never truly alter in appearance, even after hundreds of years. We've seen many examples of Asari, who have very young looking faces, yet are clearly very late in their life cycle.

Liara's face is just one of those faces which are too perfect, to be tarnished by creases and skin discolouration. At least in my head canon.

Aria, Benezia and Aethyta all matriarchs all ageless beauties... like you Snookie I think their skin may become alittle more coarser as they age but they would still look relatively young, their eyes would give em away though;)

From her ME2 dialouge, I would have guessed she was about 700 ish.

I don't think it was ever stated, but in the books, Grayson guessed she was close to 1000.

Not sure how reliable of a source Grayson is though.

^----^ I agree with this. That pic is awesome. The expression in the eyes sells me on the fact that she's in her matriarch stage. There's just something about it... almost like fatigue that could only come from being alive for years.

ALSO. I love how this child is not buying into the whole Normandy hype at all. My Shepard isn't sure that she wants doesn't want kids with Liara, but omg, this is totally the child she deserves. Someone who will insolently call her on her nonsensical behavior.
