Wait, people hate Jimmy Vega?
Some people do. He's the new guy and people resented the fact that he was on the ship while Wrex or [insert favorite ME2 character here] was not. He gets bashed for much the same reason that Liara gets bashed by [insert ME2 character fanbase here.]
I like him, even though I thought I'd hate him before ME3 was released. He had decent voice acting, provided much of the comic reflief aboard the Normandy SR2 in ME3, was useful in combat, and a was more interesting squaddie than Kaidan, Ashley or Jacob.
Hell no Ash is more awsome! (She needed more content in ME3)
I agree with that last statement.
I actually like Ashley a lot, so I hope that didn't read as bashing. I just thought Vega was the most interesting human squaddie that Bioware has done so far, and I wish he had been around since the first game.
That being said, I also roll a Male Shep so autoflirting isn't an issue. I'd probably be annoyed for example if my Shep was autoflirting with Tali.

Kaidan autoflirting must of annoyed you. It annoyed me.
Wait, let me guess... he was dead.

My Shepard's lip scar was part of my headcanon and everything, and then they removed it. :C
I blame Miranda and the Lazarus project.

Looking at the Shep in the Gif makes me miss the scars from ME1. ;C
Me too Mavqt, in a few fanfics I've came across some have came up with cool explainations for Shep's old scars. Pity Shep wasn't sporting it in the other ME's, each told a story but I guess it's because of the Lazurus project.

I literally spent hours just thinking of how they could come about. :C

Was your Shep an Elysium or Torfan vet?
Either of those two backgrounds could lend an explanation for Shep's scars.

I headcanon'd that guy in the Earthborn sidequest caused it. Killing him was sweet revenge.

It was easy to pick the setting, I was leaning more towards her/his thoughts, what weapon(if it was a weapon) caused it, etc.

Because I don't really remember him ever explicitly flirting with my Maleshep character. It was more close friends kind of stuff. Some of it was a little sappy ya, but It diden't seem romantic. Ive had talks like that with my best friends.
Was it because I was already romancing Liara, or because those scenes don't come up if you lock down the Liara romance? Or am i just interpreting those scenes differently?

Just looking at the ME3 body model, kinda too polished for a hardened war vet like Shep, should have been scarred more.
Although I don't consider it an issue by any means, I do wish the devs had given Shepard a scar or two on his or her body. It would have just ben an interesting little detail, sort of like Liara's updated skin texture. I wouldn't have wanted to see scarring on the scale of Geralt from the Witcher 2, but maybe a scar on Shepard's shoulder that was scarring from an obvious entrance wound, with exit wound scarring on his or her back. Something along those lines.
In my head canon at least Shepard was seriously wounded at Elysium.

I couldn't really answer that as Ashley is alive in nearly all my playthroughs except one. However I prefer the Kaidan/Broshep romance arch over the Cortez one myself. I like Cortez but it always came off alittle creepy the way Shep went about it, to help you get over the grief of losing your husband we should sleep together. Err too soon Shep too soon, it's only been a few months, kinda feels like taking advantage of a vulnerable person.

Do most of you keep the scars on your Liara romancing Shepard, or all of your Shepard's, or some, or none?
Personally Ive always chosen to repair them. Its like my Shepard is covering up his "otherness" in a way, and trying not to freak anyone out. Also the research led me to think that it makes you "heal better" in a way, and fed into my headcannon of Shepard being able to live longer then normal due to the Lazarus project, so I could live longer with Liara.
Though also, from a renegade standpoint, I do think they just look cool in a way. I just dont really play my character like that. I play Paragade mostly. The nice guy that will all a sudden go psycho on you;P

Ashley got the short-end of the stick, and it shows. She is far more popular then Kaidan, and has more personality.(I love how Shepard trolls Kaidan: when he mentions that some find his integrity annoying:bandit:.)
The auto-flirting with james was annoying, but not as much as: a renegade auto-caring about a kid.I really hated the Auto-flirting with femshep and Kaidan, and if you choose him in me3 over liara he actually mentions it.(WHO WOULD CHOOSE KAIDAN OVER LIARA IN ME3, WTH.)

I don't choose to heal them, my canon Shep is a Paragon with a dash of Renegade so the facial scars eventually heal up themselves. I would also like to think that Shep would have a few body battle scars too, some bullet wound enteries or nasty deep cut scars and such, those are a part of Shep's past, wouldn't want to erase them, each tell a story.

I guess human women aren't the only ones with the habit of wearing their boyfriend or husband's shirts.
On that note, the Shep version was probably the original. I confess to liking the Aria one better howver, despite it being OOC shipping.

^^Those are pretty awesome, although I really don't understand where all these Aria/Liara shippers came from.
They're both cool characters that also happen to be attractive Asari. The artists and fanfic writers probably don't give it much thought beyond that. lol
Also some people have a thing for shipping characters who are polar opposites for whatever reason. (ex. Liara/Javik or Miranda/Jack)
