Speaking of which; another random thought. Has anyone noticed how the statue/sculpture representing the Asari Republics or Asari High Command (whatever it’s supposed to be) on Firebase Goddess looks remarkably similar to the insignia on the Shadow Broker’s agents in LotSB? It got me thinking that maybe the very first Shadow Broker was an asari. After all, they have been around the longest and have the largest economy – enough wealth to set something like that up. Or maybe I’m just reaching?
Had to actually go look it up since I’ve not touched multiplayer at all…The insignia does (I think?) appear in the game itself, too.

It’s an interesting parallel, I can see that—although you might be reaching still [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/joyful.png[/smilie]
It’d perhaps make sense if the SB organization was originally an asari intel operation; but if it wasn’t officially sanctioned, it would seem a little out of place to use the insignia…and on the other hand if it was, it would be more or less common knowledge.
Speaking of, we don’t really know how old the SB network is. I would have to venture that it’s not very old since everyone seems to talk about the Broker as an individual person rather than an office, so to speak. Also, if they do think it’s the one person all along, if it has existed for more than, say, 75 years, it’d be a dead giveaway that the Broker was an asari or krogan, right? That would probably come up, too.
But it’s still a good point…I’ve done quite a bit of mapping of the Shadow Broker operation for “Unity”, but I had never gotten around to really thinking about the origins, so thank you for that. Need to sketch that part out properly too.
…And welcome
