Ok just finished playing Levi and yeah it was good not great like LOTSB but I honestly haven't experienced another dlc of that quality since. Game-play was good, it was long so value for money, loved the water-world, ugh that travelling back and forth between the Citadel and the Normandy got on my ****** though!:pinched: But checking in on Liara in- between resulted in some cute bits of dialogue. Didn't mind EDI being my co-investigator at the apartment it didn't feel out of place unlike Vega... who let you off the ship?<_< Although it made interrogating possessed Ann easier for me with Vega telling Shep to cut it out, shut it Vega! I took the husk head though, pretty funny when you check on your space hamster the head screams at it and it runs back into it's house.

I kinda mixed it up a bit, took Garrus and Liara for the first two acts and took Ashley and Liara for the last act. Oddly enough Liara took on the more combat role and Ashley talked more hmm you think it'd be the other way around, Ashley being the more experienced soldier and all, she saved my Shep too, meh didn't mind I like Ashley.^_^ Still it was pretty cool seeing Liara in all her Paragade glory taking out husks while the others ducked behind cover. Thought the scene before you took the plunge was kinda weak, would have been better if Liara gave Shep a quick peak on the cheek or a hug or something, eh but this is just a minor gripe of mine. Loved the scene after you get back on the shuttle Liara freaking out, man I love it when she says goddess, it's so cute always makes me smile.

The reveal of the Leviathan race was pretty cool but me thinks it ain't a good idea Shep to wake a sleeping giant, yeah that won't come back to bite you in the ass at some point. Introducing them so late in the game feels kinda pointless if it won't alter the ending in anyway. I can't replay the end and listen to more of starbrats blah blah blah I... I just can't so I'm gonna youtube it. I already plunged thousands of feet below sea-level for some new deep artistic integrity I just don't have the energy or the willpower to sit through some more at the end.

I got a top and I'm just in... sweet:D

James' quote about the Harvesters made me chuckle. Also, I had Liara doing the talking on the last mission and EDI doing the shooting. :o.

You need to talk to James a few times during the investigating for the water world. Then you can take the head.

the argument going around, about the characters not getting enough development, is quite untrue. This DLC had quite a lot of banter from the crew members, on and off the ship. Not to mention, without any development from new characters, the story would feel weak from the lack of motivation from Shepard.

Now as the player, you might not feel motivated by the characters, but Shepard needs to regardless, or else the plot can't effectively move forward. And don't say it didn't have to, and it could have just developed old characters, because it was already established that Leviathan was bigger than them. They add to the experience, not take the spotlight.

Wait it will explode if you play with it too much? Yeah when Vega is at the apartment before Ann gets possessed just talk to Vega a bit, he'll suggest taking it back for study or whatever and you got it. Although it's a little bit creepy that it's eyes follow you around your cabin:blink: It has my hamster spooked, spooked I say!

I wonder if it appears in Kaidan's scene, seeing as a lot of that takes place by Shepard's desk...

I guess you'll just have to pop over to the Kaidan thread to find out unless someone here has romanced him in another playthrough? Ash is alive in all my playthroughs except one and I've never romanced either so out of curiosity I just youtube their romance arches, never felt the urge to actually romance them myself. It's only Liara and Jack for me.^_^

Hmmmm,

@ Yuqi, I played the DLC and I give it a 4/5  Posted Image, I really liked it

Out of curiosity why only a 2.5?????

The Renegade was not Renegade enough, If I wanted to play Paragon I would. The only decent Renegade part was: making anne suffer longer, to get the location of Leviathen. The acting felt a bit lazy in parts, (and Ihad to suffer it  entirely in english.)The female english VA's renegade was lazy, I'd rather suffer nails ona chalkboard french fshep then a half-assed renegade. And it's a lab, wouldn't it make more sense for Liara to be there?

So yes  #@$)#$) 2.5/5

I think the consensus is that the gameplay was pretty good all around, the missions were enjoyable and so on.

But, as I suspected, the ‘plot’—such as it is—just further erodes the universe. It’s really that bad. The implications both for the past and the future are just terrible (narratively).

With as little content as the characters and LI got (yay, banter, woo…), I see no pressing desire to reinstall the game for this.

God still haven't gotten to it, I've only been able to play a hour or so a day since school started yesterday....

But to other matters:

@Yuqi: you know i appreciate those pics My two lovely alien girls FTW :D
Also... there might be a few new pics coming up although not many have Liara in it I have to sort what i have from this playthrough so far and upload them. (they're only until Palaven as i said above haven't had time to play extensively).

And thanks you guys for keeping this place mostly spoiler free, or atleast covering up the majority of the spoilers

Looks like the Leviathian DLC fixes the glitch where Liara doesn't recognize Lotsb reunion the first time you talk to her on the Normandy.

Wait, how can it do that? I thought that was a bug with the flag not being set correctly in LotSB so you would have to change LotSB to solve it.

Well, I can confirm that the LotSB bug is not actually fixed, but it is worked around (and no, it's not the same thing :P). The dialogue still seems to check for the same flag as before and that flag is still not imported properly; or rather, it is imported properly, it's just not set correctly in LotSB. In any case, the point is the flag is still left unset in an imported game.
However, after you have your first nightmare and subsequently talk to Hackett over the QEC in the comm room for the first time, the moment you then pass through the security grid outside the War Room the flag gets automagically set to true. So by the time you reach Liara's room the flag is set and she acknowledges your LotSB encounter. So yay, we can stop mocking around with Gibbed, for this at least ^_^

If there is any flag with a known value, there’s no reason it couldn’t be automatically set right to begin with. I haven’t tried, so I can’t analyze particularly accurately, but by the sound of it the bug either does not exist in LotSB but instead in ME3 handling of the flag, or they’re just guessing at the correct value based on other flags (in which case it could also be done earlier anyway).

Well I did some further testing and it appears the flag gets set to true every time you enter the CIC deck of the Normandy, either through the War Room checkpoint, through the lift or through the docking bay on the Citadel. Even if you save the game in the CIC, use Gibbed to unset the flag then load the edited savegame (now with the flag unset), it will be set again when the game loads.
So apparently loading the CIC level triggers whatever check Bioware have put in to set the flag. This kind of workaround makes sense as it also affects already started games, not just new imports. Loading other levels of the Normandy doesn't seem to trigger the fix.

Still would be nice to know how precisely the value of the flag is determined in the fix, what other flags are used to determine it. Particularly whether the method is 100% reliable or if it can get it wrong.

Leviathan isn't as character driven as Lair of the Shadow Broker, but then neither is Overlord or Bring Down the Sky. Those two are more plot driven. I have an easier time comparing Leviathan to the latter than to LotSB, and I thought Leviathan was superior to Overlord and BDtS.

If Bioware were to do another character driven DLC for Mass Effect, Jack or Miranda would be my bet for the focus. Jack got a redesign for ME3, which makes me wonder if they didn't originally have more planned for her beyond a short cameo. As for Miranda, after Jacob she was most likely to survive the suicide mission. Unlike Jacob, she has a large fanbase.

They could do it with Aria in the Omega DLC (If it's true) two birds with one stone.

wow, really??????? If true this is great news, will check this out later

No it isn't. The LotSB flag bug is a bug. You don't charge people for fixing bug much like you don't charge them to re-make a burger if it's still frozen.
