Did you played Leviathan DLC in normal? Because if you play Leviathan in hard or insanity it takes 3-4 hours to complete.Brooks Mac wrote...
Leviathan DLC was really fun, but I felt that being capable of completing it in less than 2 and 1/2 hours is kind of unacceptable. Would have liked the option of a goodbye kiss befor the dive as well, Shepard ignores Liara's feelings too often for my liking.

You mite want to add, "Unless you're a vanguard." at the end. Just charge to the furthest enemy and they stop spawning. Easy mode.

Same here, I think that scene worked very well, it was emotional without feeling forced or overdone. It clearly shows that Liara is concerned for Sheaprd but I like that it is kept rather subtle, little gestures goes a long way.mavqt wrote...

Yeah, I agree. The worry in her voice and features were enough for me. Just saying.

Great poem, and does fit Shepard and Liara. Speaking of WW1 era poems, I always liked Rendezvous with Death, particularly the last section. That bit could also fit Liara and Shepard before the end run.
The author, Alan Seeger, was an American volunteer in the French Foreign Legion during WW1. The poem was also sadly prophetic, as he was killed in action at the Somme.
I have a rendezvous with Death
At some disputed barricade,
When Spring comes back with rustling shade
And apple-blossoms fill the air
I have a rendezvous with Death
When Spring brings back blue days and fair.
It may be he shall take my hand
And lead me into his dark land
And close my eyes and quench my breath
It may be I shall pass him still.
I have a rendezvous with Death
On some scarred slope of battered hill,
When Spring comes round again this year
And the first meadow-flowers appear.
God knows 'twere better to be deep
Pillowed in silk and scented down,
Where Love throbs out in blissful sleep,
Pulse nigh to pulse, and breath to breath,
Where hushed awakenings are dear...
But I've a rendezvous with Death
At midnight in some flaming town,
When Spring trips north again this year,
And I to my pledged word am true,
I shall not fail that rendezvous.

If Bioware were to do another character driven DLC for Mass Effect, Jack or Miranda would be my bet for the focus. Jack got a redesign for ME3, which makes me wonder if they didn't originally have more planned for her beyond a short cameo. As for Miranda, after Jacob she was most likely to survive the suicide mission. Unlike Jacob, she has a large fanbase.
Miranda has a high survival rate in ME2, but she dies pretty easily in ME3. I think it's save to assume that many players (if they don't have earlier saves) would be forced to start a new ME3 playthrough to play a Miranda DLC...and I am not sure if new players could even save her on Horizon. That makes a Miranda DLC rather unlikely, imo. Jack has a similar problem (Grissom Academy was a timed mission, IIRC).
Personally I don't think we'll see another character driven DLC for Mass Effect, because all of the ME2 squadmates have potentially died in the suicide mission, or can die in their missions in ME3. LotSB was possible because Liara was alive in everyone's ME1 playthrough. Because she wasn't a squadmate in ME2 Going into ME3 Liara remains the only squadmate guaranteed to be alive, but I think the likelihood of having another DLC devoted to her is even slimmer than the ME2 squadmates. Anyone who romanced a ME2 character would rage if Liara got another DLC.
But assuming for a moment that Bioware did do a character driven DLC like LotSB, I think Miranda and Jack are the most likely out of the squadmates. That being said, I also think the likelihood of a character driven DLC like LotSB being made is slim to none.

Character driven DLC doesn't have to involve past squadmates.
Even with the current squadmates, there are still some issues that make a character driven DLC very unlikely IMO. Garrus, Tali, Ashley and Kaidan are all potentially dead. Liara already had one DLC devoted to her, making a second unlikely. Javik is DLC, and EDI and Vega are 'new' characters that the fanbase has very mixed feelings on. If EDI or Vega got a DLC all of those people clamoring for a DLC focused on their ME2 LIs would rage. I happen to like them both, but not everyone does.
Personally I'd like to see a DLC where you play as Javik, similar to Leliana's Song, in a prequel set during the dying days of the Prothean Empire. Would never happen though. (DLC character, no humans in DLC)

Completely agree especially with the second part i may be a little biased due to the fact that i have a thing with L-named characters but Leliana's song was one of my favorite DLC's plus the bonus armor you get imported into DAO wasn't to shabby either

Well I play on insanity and it did take me a good 3 hours to complete Leviathan, but it wasn't because of the combat being terribly difficult. I just like to explore every single corner of every new location, read all the datapads and codex entries, tour the Normandy after every mission to talk to everyone, etc. I actually thought the DLC was pretty light on combat, both in its amount and its difficulty. But maybe that's just all the ME3 MP experience warping my viewshepard1038 wrote...

RE: character-centric DLCs...
I think the most important thing to consider is that any DLC should be able to be played by everyone, regardless of who survived their suicide mission or if they even imported a ME2 savegame. Just look at all the previous DLCs released, none of them were exclusive in any way (in the sense that the player might not be able to play the DLC because of their decisions earlier in the game). If nothing else, it makes little business sense for Bioware to release a DLC that only a subset of their paying customers would even be able to play. So I think this makes highly unlikely any DLC about Thane, Jack, Grunt, Samara or anyone else that's not present in almost everyone's ME3 playthrough.
Also, most DLCs should probably be playable at almost any time during the ME3 campaign (for players starting a new playthrough) and right before Cronos station (for players that want to go back to their completed playthrough to do just do the DLC). I think this rules out Miranda, who usually dies in Sanctuary, both VSs, who are initially out of commission and can later either die or not join the Normandy, and Tali, since she is not available until quite late in the game and even then easily dies.
All this doesn't leave many characters to focus a DLC on.
Liara... yeah, we can hope and dream, but I don't think she's likely to get another DLC with all the content she already got.
Vega... I just don't think he's interesting or popular enough to justify a DLC, but then again he got both a comic and an anime so that shows what I know
Garrus... I think he would make a lot of sense - he's alive for almost everyone, he's with you through almost all of ME3, he can't die until the very end and he's one of the most popular characters, if not the most popular. I imagine even the most rabid Miranda and Thane fans would find it hard to rage against more Garrus
EDI... I would actually love a DLC that focuses on her. I really like her but I always had some problems with how her dealing with her synthetic nature was portrayed in ME3. A DLC could shed a lot more light on her character and there's a ton of interesting issues to explore about her, issues that are also central to the organic/synthetic dichotomy that's apparently the most important issue in the galaxy ever.
sigh... well this turned into another long-winded post, so here's some more blue babies that I found on DA today:

Also, more practically, I think Shepard's head was a few feet above hers while in the Mech. So Liara would have had to jump to give Shep a kiss:P

First time posting in the Liara thread.
She was my original LI in ME1, I restarted ME2 when LotSB allowed that to continue, and stuck with her in ME3.
Her character was very dynamic over the course of the 3 games, but still central and faithful to who she is.
Love Liara. Def one of my faves, if not #1 fave.
Welcome!
