Interesting. And what certain things would that be?

We talked about Shepard & Liara's relationship, Benezia, how Liara saw certain things (humans, her homeworld) and how fans respond to Ali when they meet her. I know that day was a really lucky day ... we even talked about Huntington Beach where I live and where she was born.

Oh, and she did ask if Shepard had stayed "faithful". That is really important to Ali ... probably more so than to Liara. Posted Image

Edit: Doozer, that would be interesting to have Ali be the beta reader ... but she and Liara share a stubborn streak that would see us going round and round. Liara is already brutal enough without Ali chiming in. But her feedback was very interesting on how she saw Liara and how she felt about Shepard.

And does Elizabeth stay faithful, or do I have to wait and find out? =]

That would interesting. I would it find it cool to hear what one of those that were behind the creation of Liara say about a work of fanfic. How do they feel said fic captures the character etc.

The writers are talking about ME right now. Posted Image

Thanks so much for the link PMC just finished watching I love Ali, she's hilarious here:D ROFL at her talking about cheating Sheps, she doesn't approve one bit, Liara doesn't want to know about your indiscretions  Loved how she described Liara as being so gentle on the inside but still possessing this fire;) And when she thanked those who remained faithful to her, she's brilliant!^_^ Also so cute listening to her gush about Jen, I think Dragon's head would have exploded hearing her say the line I bow down to that woman *cough* she's talking about her experience at being able to put a voice to any character.:D

Ali loves to talk about Liara and I got really lucky to spend time with her talking about the character and sharing my Shepard that loves her. It was a conversation that I absolutely loved, with her contributing her own thoughts on how Liara would feel about certain things and I've used what we discussed in my own headcanon.

Ali, Kimberly "Ash" Brooks and Courtenay "Jack" Taylor are all so open and willing to talk about the characters that they gave life to that I'll go out of my way to chat with these three.

You know I really hate you right now!:P God if I meet any one of those three fabulous women eck  I wouldn't know what to say, three of my favourite ME characters Ashley, Jack, Liara.:D Also lol on how important it is for Ali that Shep remains faithful to her, please Ali who else is there for Shep^_^

We've talked before in this thread about how we'd feel about Liara coming back in a sequel, but  what if she were killed off in that sequel?

If Liara returned in a cameo appearance in Mass Effect 4 as a 900 year old Matriarch, who ends up dying in a heroic fashion to save the galaxy or the protagonist (think Thane or Mordin in ME3), how would you feel? Would you be cool with it, or would you be angered that Bioware killed the character, even if she was near the end of her life by Asari standards?

As long as her send off was worthy and fitted her character (and the event of her death is logical in context of the story)? Then sure, I would have no trouble with Liara dying in a sequel.

If it was tastefully done and not a needless addition just to drag out an emotion like EDI's/Geth/Thane/Kid and made sense - then I wouldn't have an issue, not really - I hope she's lived a full life.  Hell 900 years old, my shep's been gone awhile, i'd take comfort in the idea she's finally rejoined shep's side amongst the stars..so to speak :P

Having a greater reason and purpose for dying like Mordin? Sure.
Charging at a sword when you have a pistol in your hand like Thane to create a forced "emotional" scene? No thanks.

I'm in the same boat.

So long it was fitting send off, Liara was in character, and her death was suitably heroic...I'd probably even enjoy it in an 'eyeball sweat' sort of way.

I was just curious how other people would feel if Liara was killed in a sequel, since Thane's death generated a lot of rage from his fans.

@ GT Zazzerka.
This takes place before Shepard joins the alliance.

Hmnn, maybe get rid of the swaying?

Her eyes were drawn to Jane's hips as she sauntered to the end of the dock, her hips swaying gently along the way.

Eh, you're better off asking someone who's a native speaker.

I hoped you smacked your nephew for naming a shepard after you, and doing what he did.

As mentioned by others, I would actually say that her death could be very bitter sweet. If she is at the end of her life then odds are Shepard has been gone as long time. And it comforting to know that Shepard and Liara can once again be united.

I'd be ok with it. Depending on how Bioware decides to kill her varies my thoughts.

Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image. I think that would generate a lot of rage. When a character death is forced. Most of the time people rage. Also Liara is a popular character. Thought I can see some people getting upset.

I would prefer if Mass Effect 4 was set very distant on the future. Isn't it enough having Mordin, Thane and Legion die and possibly most of the ME2 characters in the suicide mission.

That’d be tautological, you don’t want to repeat words* ^_^ Also, the last ‘her’ would normally be read as referring to Liara. I think mavqt already settled on a good version, but I think my preference would be:

“Her eyes were drawn to the gentle sway of Jane’s hips as the woman sauntered to the end of the dock.”

Edit: or flip the descriptors around if you prefer. Or, remove the second one altogether:

“Her eyes were drawn to the gentle sway of hips as Jane sauntered to the end of the dock.”

* Sometimes repetition can be used to set up a rhythm or cadence, sort of like a mantra or a chant.

Glad to see that there are some other people here who also like Ashley.

Honestly I can't say that I dislike any of the squadmates though. There are some that I like more than others, but none that I hate. Well except for maybe Morinth, but I'm supposed to hate her. She's not intended to be likeable.

The way they handled Mordin's death was top notch and if they were to kill Liara in a future ME handled with the same care and purpose as Mordin's then yeah I'd be upset but I'd understand and accept it.

Well, I'm male, and I'd rather look at the eyes.
Does this mean that I belong in the Kaiden thread instead?

Not at all, I too would rather look at Liara's eyes, they are so beautiful.
I am male and if anything I was annoyed that they increased her breast size from LotSB onwards, I loved that she had more natural proportions.

I would not feel good about it.
Firstly I would prefer not witnessing Liara die under any circumstances, the forced deaths in ME3 was well done IMO but I have no desire to see Liara die, no matter how heroic or "well done".
Secondly I would not like to see Liara by herself some hundreds of years after ME3. For me Liara's life is intertwined with Shepard's and seeing her alone would not feel right for me, especially not if seeing her as an matriarch as I have grow so attached to her as she is now.
