That's...impressive. It's rare that a cosplayer actually resembles the character they're dressing as.

Without actually being an artist, its hard to find a picture that hasn't been posted before on Google. Apologies if its a repost.
Reposts are fine, especially if it's that picture.

edit: and now for something completely different... humanised Liara:

I usually hate these sorts of pictures, at least the others I've seen before were usually crap (of Liara and other characters). But I like this one, don't even know why... just seems to capture Liara's look really well.

There’s legitimate speculation about life extension for all humans if Shepard makes it another ~200 years.

I don't have an issue with people choosing a longer life for Shepard if they want it ... I just choose that Shepard will only live until her 70's. As she ages there will be challenges but Liara will make sure that Shepard never doubts that she is happy to be with her ... even as her beauty fades and her body slowly breaks down. That makes their story that much more beautiful to me ... and sad.
As far as Liara is concerned, she has Shepard for another 40 years ... those years are blessings since they are an additional 40 years that she did not truly expect when she gave her body to Cerberus.

Liara’s feeling lonely. Glyph just isn’t cutting it anymore, and she needs someone to hang around; someone she can talk to when she’s just thinking aloud, someone she can hold at night and who won’t question her actions. Shepard says, ‘hey, why don’t you pick up a dog or a cat?’ Liara spends all her time from that point on researching dogs and cats—elegant, sleek cats with sharp eyes and long flickering tails, big, muscular dogs with erect pointed ears and curled tails. When she finally finds the time to go to a shelter, she’s struck by the sight of this squat, squish-faced little thing. A little black boy, just the right type of chubby with a curled tail and tongue lolling happily out of his wide mouth. She’s struck dead, buys him on the spot. Within moments, she’s got a name- Hiero, to go with her Glyph, and she buys him a yellow bandana to wear around his neck in place of a collar. He sits with her while she’s on her terminal, cuddles with her when she’s going over datapads in bed, and plays with her when she just needs to take a nice, long lunch break.

Well lore wise, the standard life expectancy of humans during the ME series, is around 150 years. Shepard is a cyborg, with most of her internals being syntheticaly fused. That means Shepard will most likely live even longer than the typical human. so 150+ easy.

Shepard says that some humans reach 150 not all ... to me that was like saying some humans today reach 100. So I would see an average lifespan closer to 120 maybe. But it doesn't matter really.
Shepard in my ME Universe will only live to be in her early 70's. You can have a Shepard that lives to be a 1000 years and it would not bother me ... It is up to each player really to determine how long they're Shep lives.
That is a good thing.

Glad she picked a dog, (pug, I assume) cats are horrible.

1000 years I understand to be crazily unrealistic, but so does 70. Unless you have a specific reason behind it, like they get an illness, or they are wounded.

Yeah. To me, 150 future years equates to about 85-90 present years.TheCrimsonSpire wrote...
Ya I get that PMC. I'm just curious to know why you want your Shepard to have such a short life expectancy. It just seems like an odd thing to headcannon, you know?

As such, I've headcanoned my Shepard to live to at least 130 or more, as that would considered a 'ripe old age' in the ME Universe.

Ironically and sadly, even though the procedure is based largely on research into asari longevity, it can not be adapted to extend their own life span, since they die 'of old age' for different reasons. So Liara will eventually still die, but my Shepard will outlive her.
Asari are supposed to be able to deal with the loss of their shorter-lived partners; humans on the other hand... I'm not yet sure how Shepard will handle it.

Personally, I'd throw myself of the nearest cliff.
So yeah, I prefer Shep getting an extra 100 years or so, enough time to see the kids grow up (and become dancers) as well as making ME happier, because it means the last 5 years weren't for nothing.

Because I don't believe that quantity of years equals quality.
I've been blessed in my life to see my family age well into their 80's and by that time they were ready to move on. My great grandfather reached a magic 100, still rode a bike and was pretty active for a man his age, then quietly passed away in his sleep. As he neared his 100th birthday, he told me that we weren't meant to live that long ... that our souls were finished in this world and needed to advance.
Now, I am not at that age yet so I'm going to take their word that by the 70's and on the soul is ready to go somewhere else. That we reach a point where dying isn't feared but embraced. I like that and living 70 years is a long time for a soul to be here. If Shepard has forty years of peace with Liara what more could she ask? Quality over quantity for me.

You make good points, but I'm also basing my lifespan on the amount of time he gets to spent with his kids. It'd be nice for Shep to be able to see them reach a decent age, so they'll remember their father etc. etc. rather than not knowing who he was, which to me, sucks.
I do understand what you're saying about quality over quantity though.
Each player has different reasons for how long their Shepards may or may not live after the reaper wars. My Shepard does not have children with Liara so there are no asari children to even put in that equation for me.
But I could see where one would want at least an extra few years plus if they did have those blue babies.
