I'm wondering if the asari with rare skin tone face discrimination. I assume that different shades of blue and purple are the most common and iconic of asari skin tones, so is it possible that the ones with for example green or orange-ish skin tone face some kind of discrimination in larger scale. Any thoughts?

I doubt The Asari Discriminate a lot between themselves. (Apart from the Pureblood aspect)
So I honestly don't think so.

Omigod, I know I'm like 10 pages behind but this just made me burst out laughing.

I'm sorry PMC, but the kid's got a point.

:innocent:

This really made me laugh ... Yuqi the renegade shows a tad bit of sympathy and KS the paragon laughs? Just as I always expected. The renegades have more heart than you white hat fruit loops. *grabs drink and walks over to the renegade table* Posted Image

Ezlo86 - I just listened to a reel of Jennifer Hale's work and she really has a wide range of voices in her little kit bag. So I'll just throw her name in the hat.

Mavqt - I really loved Morinth as my personal Hannibal Lecter. She never lived in any of my games, but I was hoping for those that saved her at least once, that she was given just a little more delicious story time. There were a few people (one guy in particular) who saw her as misunderstood and really in need of love. He and a few others were really expecting her to be redeemed in ME3 and Samara shown as the evil one. That Samara had lied about her daughter and so on. I'm sure that they were greatly disappointed in ME3.

Sgt Snookie - I really missed Micheal Beattie and for some reason I didn't like Mordin as much in ME3 as I did in ME2. I wonder if that had to do with it or just the interaction in ME2 was more fun and lighthearted to a degree.

Now off for a good hike, which is much needed after dealing with this #&%#$^Y&&* slow internet connection! Posted Image

@ PMC.
Morinth only lived in one of my many playthroughs. And yeah, seeing her reduced to a banshee was just a kick in the balls quad for those who saved her. I was really interested to see what was going to happen to her in ME3, well until I saw the screenshot of her.

While I do see some similarities between them, I think Morinth and Lecter are just are a bit too different in their approach to say that they are the same character. Granted it has been some time since I saw the movies, so I could be wrong.

Well, one of the things people complain about with Liara is how her relationship is supposedly 'practically forced' on you, and maybe there's even a bit of truth in that, but again, is she really unique in that?

No.

In ME1 being nice to Ashley is mistaken as being romantically interested, and in ME2 Shepard can flat out tell Tali that he isn't interested because it would be too dangerous, and she takes that as "I'm your boyfriend now." If your Shep tries to let down Tali easy by saying he's not interested because of the health risks, she'll later act like Shep is trying to woo multiple women and will demand that Shepard dump Miranda or Jack, if Shep is pursuing either one. Jack will also mistake Shepard being nice as romantic interest.

Since we're on the topic (sorta) what's your favorite videogame voice actor/tress?

I thought Mark Meer's performance as Shepard was perfect, but I can't really list him as the Mass Effect games are the only ones I've ever heard him in. So I'm going to go with Simon Templeman. He was brilliant as both Kain in the Legacy of Kain series, and as Teyrn Loghain in Dragon Age. Of course he also voices Han Gerrel in Mass Effect, but that is a smaller role.

While not an instrument I imaged her as a vocalist, her voice is certainly melodious enough to create beautiful tones.

I haven't posted in this thread before, but I've been reading it for... 200 or 300 pages now?  I just adore Liara's character, to the point where the paramour achievement was actually one of the very last ones I got in ME2, in spite of being one of the easiest.  But I have just the one Shepard, and I loved that relationship with Liara so much that it just felt 'wrong' to cheat on her with another character.  (That's the point where you start wondering if you're taking your gaming too seriously.  Posted Image )
Welcome, and nah you are not taking it too seriously, or you migiht be but than I certainly am as well Posted Image, there is absolutly nothing wrong with not wanting to cheat in Liara, she deserves so much more than that.
moreeman06 wrote...
Ok so just finished Leviathan not going to go into detail but i liked the possession scene with Bryson,  I did it multiple times to see what would happen if i kept on renegade interupting and even though canon i stopped without doing one, the full scene was good just not fitting to Tiberius.   The last mission was good also but I'm not entirely happy with the explanation of the Reapers conception..... a bunch of evil galaxy ruling chtlulhus built a bunch of robo-chtluthus that did the same thing and killed them off, meh it's like someone looked at a crappy version of Frankenstein and said lets do that.  or atleast that's what it came off as to me.   but it does atleast make some kind of sense so i'm not pissed or anything i was just thinking of something a little more complex or exciting for a reaper origin story. Liara did say most of the lines though and i was happy with the little interactions.
Agreed with you wholeheartedly throughout all of that.

I'm proud to say, that the Liara support thread is one of the few character threads to have the kindness and humility, that the others sometimes lack. One of the reasons why I love coming here all the time, other than to talk about about my favourite blue, is to be around people who are actually thoughtful, generous, and good hearted.

Not bald, crested, important difference.

Ali Hilis (Liara, well duh) for several obvious reasons.
Jo Waytt (Lady Hawke / Female Imperial Agent in ToR) she has a gorgeous voice.
Jannifer Hale (FemShep etc.) while I never liked her voice in an off itself she is amazingly talented. And despite the fact that i only play Mshep I always liked Jennifer more as a person.

Hounerable Mentions:
Though I don't know who voiced them the voices of Sovereign, Harbinger and the Leviathan derserves recognition in my book.

As usual Liara's face is very hard to get right but what the hell it is a nice scene.

I think this might be Ma-rin's best of Liara, I would just wish she did not draw her with those scars.

And finally a pair of my favourites Posted Image:
