I think pretty much everyone can relate to the ending feelings…

But damn do I hate associating feelings with un-manliness, even in jest ^_^ Definite ‘no need to apply’ for me!

Real men wear pink. :P

I wore a pink shirt in my interview. :)

I broke a controller at the ending.  By dropping it (not throwing it).  When I got up and left the room suddenly to go ponder if what I saw actually happened and cuss out my frustrations.  And then retired my ME playing butt to the internet forums.  Been here ever since.  Still having trouble making fanfics and fanart though.  Bleh.  Aw well.  I think the whole I love you scene is what drove me over the edge for tears (almost killing grunt got damn close too) - because I somehow knew (ever since that promise in LotSB...) BW was going to get my shepard killed (which is stupid... mr. several different frakkin endings that are only different by douchebaggish miniscule variables and colour changes! Cheap shots every single one of them gaaaah /rage mode).  ''Paragon version'' of Mordin's death actually made me smile... it was a fitting end for him, it just...felt right for him to die like that - i didn't have any regrets there.  Which isn't something I shared with shep's death.   Aw well head canon ftw right?

The saddest scenes for me were Mordin's death however his sacrifice was fitting someone else might have gotten it wrong, his story was concluded perfectly, he redeemed himself.^_^

The Ardat Yakshi mission I wasn't expecting that, so frickin' sad and the fall of Thessia hearing the pilots go down and the Reapers overwhelming them:crying:
Thane's prayer to Shep on his deathbed, that was a beautiful poignant moment, I shed a little tear:(

Anderson's death. Everyone's dying!:crying:
Liara's goodbye to Shep at the beam, damn it Bioware why must you hurt me so!:( And this is why I retreat into fanfiction, my Shep deserved her happy ending.

Wait, you felt emotional during the fall of Thessia? I was laughing my ass off at how bad the mission was playing out.

Edit: Mac needs to do a heck of a lot of good work to restore my faith in his writing. What little there was to begin with.

Yeah, I was too busy shaking my head in disappointment at how short the mission was to be sad.

Going through my gazillion screen shots of the ME series, I ran across this one and the first thing that popped into my head was something Aethyta mentioned about Benezia..

Because everything from the terrible voice-acting to teleporting sovereign class reapers to wasted potential made me laugh so much I couldn't take the mission seriously.

Did you know that pink used to be boys’ color? It was considered vibrant and boisterous, whereas blue was tranquil and calm—and therefore for girls.

Yeah from the ME Novel Deception, Kai Leng is such a BAMF that when he breaks into Anderson's apartment he eats his cereal yunno for the adrenaline rush, I'm dead serious it's that bad!

@ Guys you could just call pink salmon!:P

It went OK until Kai Leng came along, and at that point it was like my suspension of disbelief was shot out of a cannon into a furnace.

I wasn’t upset with Leng ‘winning’, I was upset with the writers for having pushed such crap on us.

Cereal killer is a reference to “Deception”.

If anyone’s not read that travesty, and I sincerely hope you haven’t, this rage comic is actually a surprisingly accurate rendition of it. Definitely worth your time to read through: http://imgur.com/a/lAVji

You're right... that comic is pretty accurate. And wasted less time out of my life that I could of used sitting in congested traffic, and also killed a surprisingly lesser amount of brain cells when read.

I hated the original endings, but I think some of the hate directed at him and Casey Hudson by the fanbase is way over the top. People now blame them for everything that went wrong in the entire series, whether or not they had anything to do with it. A good example is not too long ago someone bashed Mac in a thread for Udina being made the canon Councilor, even if Anderson was chosen at the end of Mass Effect 1. That had actually been first made canon in a book written by Drew Karpyshyn, a writer that the fanbase generally credits (often wrongly) for everything that went right in Mass Effect.

I'm sure if you listed all the things conceived of or written by Mac Walters and Casey Hudson throughout the entire series, most fans would probably find more things on that list that they liked than disliked. Mac Walters created Garrus, Aria, and Illusive Man for example, and Hudson can be credited as the creator of Mass Effect, since he was the one who came up with the idea for the IP.

Did the endings they wrote deserve criticism? Absolutely.

Do they deserve to be bashed as hack writers who never contributed anything good to the series? Absolutely not.
