Man I was staring at that gif for minutes before I realized what I was doing. It's kinda entrancing, seeing Liara do that animation. I find it cruel to let Liara not get an apology from Javik, so I've rarely seen this scene.

I say Paragon Shepard, War Hero, Spacer, Liara LI, saved the Queen, saved Wrex, Kaidan dies. It's the most formulaic Shepard I know. Also, after the buzz of Avatar, hot blue alien girls are the new in thing in Hollywood, so lucky Liara.

If I had to choose the official canon for the movie, I would choose that they don't make the movie at all tbh.

Oh man, really? Time for my two cents then. It's probably going to be a massive disaster. There's no way to please even 10% of the player-base, due to the vast number of different kinds of playthroughs, so the majority of people who like it will be people who've never seen/played the games. In which case they could have just made a generic sci-fi movie. Faces will be wrong, voices will be wrong, lore will be wrong. I'll never understand Hollywood. Movies just can't have the variability video games can.

imdb.com says 2012, but surely that's just a placeholder right?

All that said, I'm probably still going to watch it many, many times.

I'd be all for a Mass Effect movie if it wasn't based off of the games. There are a lot of new stories they can still tell in the universe, why did they have to restrict it to one that's a) already been told and will alienate the majority of the fanbase? I think a Firefly esque movie set in the Mass Effect universe would have the potential to be brilliant.

Bah, I too will never understand Hollywood.

I honestly don't think Liara will be LI in the movie. If they want to go for a big-market they have to consider various social,religious,minority, and cultural groups. I also think, they might end up including fshepard, in some way: because it would be incredibbly stupid not too.

yeah i use my ps3 for other games FF, Force Unleashed, Alpha Protocol, Elder Scrolls, etc... but the only thing i play online with it is fifa.  I do all of my ME on the PC

If they can't even get that done, with the story as clear-cut as it is, they have no hope for ME.

I’ve probably said it before, but I don’t really understand the idea that one couldn’t watch a ME movie because it’s not exactly the same as one’s own playthrough. Do you feel it somehow invalidates your game? I just can’t put myself in your shoes in this case.

I dont really think they would have the budget they would need to make a truly Kick butt movie of Mass effect that would satisfy fans, I think. Considering those special effects heavy movies that look really nice cost up towards like 100 million to make.
