Something I am confused about, in LotSB at the end of the Normandy tour, when Liara and Shep are about to embrace, Shep says "How about ....this", Do Liara's eyes go black or is it just game lighting? seems to imply (if her eyes do go black) that Asari or just Liara have an on/off button on their back or somewhere.

I've always thought the "melding" effect had to be a conscious effort on the part of the Asari

You mean this?

They look black to me. It probably isn't a button, per se, but like an emotional switch, or something? Or maybe he touched her 'azure.'

Shepard touches a special place on Liara. "Mainly the lower reaches near the bottom.":whistle:

In my interpretation Liara is just really...well...Excited. So Shepard touching Liara her, "Set her off". That cuased her to meld almost reflexively as soon as touched. I dont think it was her "azure" or anything. I mean i dont think you would go and just grab a cheif erotic area just like that right away. Thats why i think she is just reacting to Shepards touching in general when he touches her back. And Shepard  saying "How about ...this" Was just him commenting about how he is starting intimate sexy time with Liara.  The whole time during the fade to black is the "how about this" part imo.

It is, but there’s nothing saying she couldn’t do it that fast.

As far as the button, not quite, but I’ve something about it in the Intro to Asari Physiology…

 *IF* a movie really comes out, I'm staying FAR away from it unless it takes place before or after the years and evens covered by the games and Shepard.  eg. The First Contact War, or 200 years after Shepard's time in the same (Reaper-free) universe... where Liara still have a chance of making cameo due to her lifespan.

I just have to ask this question. While all female ingame models for humans and asari are the same height. Do you headcanon Liara as taller or shorter than female Shepard?

I personally like a taller Shepard though i have begun to like the idea of a taller Liara.
