Just finished a fanfic with Liara in it.  Well, not finished, but published.  Still needs polishing.

 If I'm honest I like the new face design in the ME3 demo, it reminds me of Liara from ME1 but a bit updated. The LOTSB design had some nice touches though like the eye's but I wasn't quiet sure about the blue lips, they weren't bad but I dunno they just kinda didn't fit but that's just my opinion.

That's obviously a matter of opinion, but my opinion is Paragon all the way. The farther down the Renegade path Shepard goes, the more Liara will likely end up there herself after the end of 1. For me, she's just grown up a little during these 2 years and she was also still dealing with the Shadow Broker. So i can understand her being different at that time, but she's never given up on Shepard and i also think she will open up more again after what happens in LotSB. At least that's how i picture it.

Or you did invite Liara up and do the death most likely response if Liara was LI, and then the bottom right response again and Liara will leave ticked off and ask why bother then leave and Shepard's response is I'm asking myself that or something along those lines.  I've only done that way once and reloaded and went back to my usual answer of happily every after.   Hmmmm.   Makes me want to go back to that play through and do the bad ending and see how that plays out in ME3.

Seriously though, I choose Liara in every single playthrough. Watched some vids of other romances and... it's just not as good. ME2's story (more specifically between ME1 and ME2) is also more believable if you have Liara as your LI. Plus Lotsb plays out much nicer. So far I dare say Liara's romance is the nicest of them and the only one that's become an actual romance, rather than a 1 time fling. And since I don't know how the other romances will work out in ME3, I'm sticking with Liara:)

- Kaidan is a Soldier, their love is against the rules.... nothing wrong with that, but something you could consider.
- Kaidan always dances around subjects. This is highly annoying for my Renegade. Liara blurts everything out.
- At the moment, Liara has the best character arc of all the squadmates.

It all depends I think on the Shep you use and which romance fits better.

Hmmm.... those are very good points Yes, Liara's romance does work the best...Kaidan's Horizon and email thing bug me out....Shep wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for Liara.... having your lover be the SB works wonders.....

Not to mention pure comedic gold in LOTSB

She says it if you invite her up to the cabin for drinks and more but do not do it immidietly.

Yup. When in a romance with Liara and reaffirming it, Shepard suggests coming to the normandy for drinks. Choosing to do it later will have Shepard say: "Great, next time I come back, it's a date". Liara responds with: "I don't think people like us have dates, but I'm looking forward to it."

I'm hoping that's not the case.  I'd hate to have to start using TexMod just for the third installment.

If Liara looked the same in LOTSB as she does in ME3, I probably wouldn't complain about the look. I'll probably even start liking her ME3 face more as time goes on. But it's really more about consistency. Jumping from ME1 to ME2 feels alright, because it's been 2 years, and Shepard wasn't around to see the changes. But then she suddenly changes in LOTSB, which still mind screws me after getting used to the ME2 look. And you only get a short time with her in LOTSB. And then to have her change again?

I don't mind that she's back to her old ME1 look, but not only does the LOTSB one look better, her face should simply be consistent by now.

There may be some changes to her current look done before the game is finalized.
