Fair enough, you make a good point. Paragon and Renegade aside, it wasn't something I thought I'd hear her say.
To me, it seemed like the choice was between hanging back and letting the Citadel fleet soften up Sovereign and the geth (getting destroyed in the process), then charging in to save the day, or moving in to assist the Citadel fleet, whilst taking casualties at the same time. To me, the former seems Renegade, and the latter, Paragon.

Kaiden/Liara seemed like the most apt squad for the final scene. The guy who's been with you from the beginning, and the person you care most about.

Plus it's the only combo that lets Liara shoot the S.o.b. very dead

I think it is a humans vs aliens decision. Shepard doesn't really have any information (how many geth/council ships, their position, etc.) to actually make what would be a perfectly informed decision....and if Hackett thought it was a bad idea to save the Destiny Ascension, then he would not have given the order to save the asari dreadnought. I mean, maybe it's better to save the DA because otherwise the geth could flank Hackett's ships while they're fighting an unknown AI dreadnought.

It’s hard to say. I got the vibe that the battle might hinge upon the saved fleet. If it wasn’t, then saving the galactic government would be the more or less obvious choice.

Edit: @Barquiel: I think my point is that we don’t know…in those cases, you always maximize the chances of victory. I would only potentially sacrifice a fleet to save the council if I could win without them. (Or if the Council was somehow completely irreplaceable.)

Of course, that said, I always metagame it now since I hate the subsequent portrayal of the decision. I just pretend that the situation was less dire.

In the add-on DLC Genesis Shepard's voice expresses that the Council's Galactic Fleet would have been in total disarray without the Council, that is the only time any affect of what happens if one did or did not let them get blown up.

Ok, so this is me finally catching up. Apologies in advance if the post ends up a quoted mess with way too many pictures :P

Sounds like a plan. Perhaps some hot coco is in order for maximum cuddle factor:P

Liara's way ahead of you and already waiting for Shepard:

Manly fleet accounted for and ready!

A little late, since the battle seems to be over, but what to heck, reporting in for the inevitable next clash :).
Though, with me playing femShep, crying during a videogame, indulging in femShep/Liara fanfiction (and occasional smut ) and running around MP as a Krogan in a pinkish outfit with a flowery motif... I may just start to wonder . Then again, according to lillitheris I've been a zombie for a few years now anyway, so what to frack do I even care about my manliness :P

Play as Liara in ME2

One time, I played as Liara, romanced Liara and let Liara join my Squad in ME2.
It was an epic Liara overload.... and I'm okay with that. B)

Downloaded and waiting for my next ME2 playthrough, whenever that may be. Should make for some awesome gameplay and screenshots.
But that ware Liara as armor line in the description simultaneously creeped me out and made me laugh =]

Aaaaaha, so that explains the Liara zombie I posted a while back, she's been (un)dead for decades now:

I don't mind, me and Liara will just go off and be zombies together while all you living humans wait around for the living asari to show up :P

Reminds me of the conversation with Aethya, arguing asari/human culture.
"You mean you were her other mother, right?"
"No, I didn't pop her out."
"Sorry, if you were human, you'd both be called the mother, regardless of which one gave birth."
"Well I'm not human, am I? Anthropocentric bag of dicks."

'Anthropocentric bag of dicks' had me rolling on the floor.
Such an amazing insult, from an asari.

I hated that in ME2 even Shepard was talking about the decision as if it was about saving the human fleets vs. the council instead, not about actually winning the fight or not.

Well, that's because the decision is only saving the Council vs the human fleet. He just jumped through a mass relay in a tank and has no clue what the geth, council forces or Sovereign are doing.

Shepard has no way of knowing which tactic is more likely to result in victory because he simply doesn't have the information. All Shepard knows is that one choice will kill the council whilst the other will not.

Further, it's impossible for the player to tell the correct choice - there is too much we don't know: We don't know what the geth are doing either; for all we know they're holding position to protect Sovereign, and we'll have to fight them anyway - would you rather fight Sovereign and the geth at once (hold back the fleets), or one after the other (move in now, and also save the council)?

This is, of course, why the decision is morally meaningless. Why is Shepard making that decision anyway? Doesn't the fleet have, you know, admirals experience in commanding space combat?

Even though Liara is too young for the facial tattoos, they make her look 100000 times better. Someone make a bloody texture for ME3!

This is amazing. Where did you get this mod from?

Also, to those of you who use Texmod, does it slow down your systems? I find it downs my frames to half and I have to engage in emergency measures to keep the game playable. :|

It can slow down the boot time & main menu, but other then that, it runs pretty good. And this counts to ME1 & ME3.

Wouldn't this vary according to PC hardware?

I'm stuck on Xbox so I've never had the chance to use Texmod's.

Argh. I feel the Xbox pain.

I just want to put Shepard in a hat, occasionally. Is that too much to ask?

Normally I get about 50-60 fps but while using texmod it drops to 25-30, even at places it shouldn't. Like at CIC just starting towards the cockpit, fps drops dramatically.
