Or maybe Reaper Roll one.
Hey, if I was in charge, I'd leave behind blueprints for a weapon of mass destruction for the next cycle, but in reality all it would do is play Rick Astley music.
I'm strange like that.

I am not picky about Shep's gender in fanfics, I just don't read that many, I might take a look at some of the otherslillitheris wrote...
I think I’ve read about a dozen or two different takes on it in various fics. FShep, so perhaps those haven’t been on your radar, but DE for example does this quite extensively.
I’ve played with it a little in recent(ish) chapters, from two different perspectives.

Glad I don't, while I really like that game I would never be ably to truly appreciate a tribute to Liara if what happens in that game lurked in the dark recesses of my mind all the while.
Wouldn't you want to make Liara and Mass Effect real by writing a story. Though maybe that's a bad idea with the dark presence and all.

Indeed, but if it was not there I would happily write myself into ME with Liara, it might not be pleasent with the Reapers in ME and all but it would be worht it to be with herAchaewa wrote...

As I've headcanoned it, the meld itself is little more than a link between the minds. What exactly gets shared across the link is then up to the two (or more) participants. Normally only purposefully shared sensations and thoughts are exchanged - ideas, feelings, memories, etc. However, minds are often difficult to control and tend to wander off aimlessly, so usually some thoughts/feelings/etc will get shared along... accidentally.Kshep wrote...
This is actually something I've been wondering about (asari seeing into your mind) for a while now. Do you guys think Liara can explore Shepard's mind freely and dig out whatever she wants, or does she only see what Shepard allows her too, or whatever memories are sitting on the surface at the time? The scene where she offers to show Shep some of her own memories made it seem like she was going to display a few select moments of her past (at least to me). If that's the case then it would imply it's possible to pick which memories are shared. I've always wondered this, because it occurred to me that if Liara can see everything in Shepard's mind, she'd have access to a lot of things s/he would rather keep private.
Thoughts?
A forceful extraction of involuntary information is possible, but while this is both complicated and exhausting to perform, the biggest problem with it is actually making sense of the gathered information. Without the target's mind cooperating with "decoding", the invading mind has little hope of piecing together anything of sense.
Only individuals who have melded their minds together a great number of times, for instance long time bondmates or mothers and their daughters, get familiar enough with each other's mental patterns to comprehend the other's thoughts and memories in such raw form.
Since the potential invader is not likely targeting their bondmate/mother/daughter (forcefully invading another's mind is considered an absolutely abhorrent act), they must resort to coercion or trickery to force the victim's mind to cooperate to a sufficient degree. This further adds another layer of difficulty to the procedure, very few asari are actually skilled and powerful enough to have a chance of succeeding at it.
During the joining on the other hand, the two minds open up completely to one another, on a conscious and subconscious level. Exploring the partner's memories is still impractical without them actively guiding the process, since the sum total of ones memories is an unnavigable mess to anyone but the owner
Again though, this is just my take on it

Many, many times. Metal Gear Solid 4, Mass Effect 3, and Red Dead Redemption ( just 'sayin. ) were the only ones this gen though.
Movies, too many to count. Most recent one has got to be Toy Story 3 though. I'm not afraid to admit it.
I'm not the manliest of men in that regard.

I used to be pretty much like a stone when it came to things like that. But I found as I get older I can put more emotion into a scene by myself, or at least recognise it, and It hits me more.
Yes, I admit at times I cryed in Mass Effect. Mostly in ME3, and near the ending at where your saying goodbye to everyone. It was just so sad, and in a way I felt like i just now truely got to know them...so I felt the pain of cutting short a good thing. Much feelings of loss all around. I took solace in the fact that It was suggested that I could live in the destroy ending.I locked myself in my room and dident let anyone see so I wouldent have to explain.
Now I find it hard to pick anything but high ems destroy because It is just so hard for me to see Liara crying and sad. Shes been jerked around enough romanticly, and to have that on top of everything is just so tragic. Liara crying makes me choke up when I see it and affects me quite a bit.
Edit: Happy birthday Casino Royale!
