You just made my planning much easier, Snookie - I never thought of that!

I'd put that on, infiltrate their HQ, plant some new 'plans' for a new free DLC that fixes the ending and it contains epilogue scenes with Liara, and get them to bloody work on that!

Excellent! You shall be the savior of the BSN! You would be a legend, but the records will be sealed...

Can we leave Hudson and Walters alone? People already in the story discussion forums talk about them. People in the story discussion forums have even painted them as bad persons, then people wonder why they don't show up on BSN and why no Dev wants to post in BSN.

Oh, lighten up you. We're not bashing them, we're just joking around.

Can we just leave the ending talk altogether, not just the things that shepard1038 doesn’t want to talk about? That’s why I don’t really go to the S&C. These have all been hashed a million times there.

Has anybody here cried over a movie or videogame and have you cried in Mass Effect? Posted Image

Once in a movive, once in a videogame before ME. And a couple of times in Mass Effect, all the times were related to Liara's romance.
I have never cried from being sad in a game or movie, and on the rare instances where I cry related to fiction it is because I think what I experience is so beautiful that I get tears in the eyes.

Am i the only one who founds it odd that Liara in the destroy ending, when putting Shepard's name she hesitates and then smiles and in the other endings she puts Shepard's name and she is crying, how does she know Shepard is alive or dead and why does she hesitates in the destroy ending?

I and some of the others are of the belief that she can feel Shepard being alive thruogh their link, obviously not much and not like she can telethatically communicate with him/her or anything simply an unexplicable feeling that Shepard is still alive.

Sorry, lillitheris, I will stop for now.

From all the other ''oddities'' the endings threw at us, Liara's reluctance to hang shepard's name on the wall - was the least of my woes.  Besides people love sappy nonsense.  Emotion aka ''feels'' clouds reasoning - or at least bioware hoped it would.Posted Image

Humm..Has Ali Hillis ever done a singing spot? We have talked about Liara, and what instrument she might play, but then I forgot to think about one of the most important parts of some bands...the singer. I think Liara's voice could lend itself to singing. Most of us admire her voice and its qualities anyway. Why not in singing , possibly?

No fair I suggested singing as her "instrument" I would really love to hear Liara sing.

The way I resolve the friendzoning in 2 and 3 is just to realize that Shepard is--as far as we know--the first relationship Liara's ever had, really.  So she's lacking experience and confidence in that area, and when she and Shepard have been apart for a while, she just assumes that Shepard has probably lost interest in her, or found someone better, more exciting.  Or that Shepard is just this huge, galactic hero who she doesn't want to drag down or hold back.  And it takes Shepard reassuring her more than once that, "No, I love you, you big dummy!"

And for my own Shepard, there's also the fact that she's never been particularly successful at hanging onto a boyfriend or girlfriend long-term, so the two of them are like the social-dysfunction twins who keep having these weird false-starts where it takes 'em a little while of being around each other again before they realize how perfect they are together...

No, no…it’s not. Or, you know, I’m glad if it works for you that way (no snark).

What it is is epicly crappy writing. I ignore it the best I can in the game, and completely change it in Unity.

There's friendzoning in ME2? Where? First Liara's otherwise occupied (pre-LotSB) and later ... overwhelmed by events (taking over as SB in LotSB) - she's clearly still interested but suggests (trying to think rationally) that Shepard's death and stuff might have changed things.

ME3, on the other hand, is a mess. There's buggy dialogue, explicit dual opt-in for romance, etc.At best, you can try and interpret it as Liara fishing for a proposal but... yeah, it's not ideal. That's what I meant when I said that "the Liara moments are too few, too far between and too many of the existing ones are botched" a while back.

This! I've been enjoying just lurking and reading about boobs and cake. Hmmm yes, my eyes are like pinwheels......

Speaking of cake, do we actually know Liara's exact birthday? And what would your Shepard give as a birthday gift?

I expected that restarting the relationship in Lair of the Shadow Broker would make the relationship a given at the beginning of ME3, and was very disappointed. Seriously, Liara, I don't have a ton of time here, being a short-lived human and all. Can we please just pick things up where we left them off 6 months ago? What is that--like a day--in asari time?

It sucks that there isn't a love triangle in ME3 including Liara and Ashley. In the first one I loved picking Liara just to ****** that racist woman off.

I want a cat fight!

Not sure if there's a date. Earth dates and Thessia dates would be different of course. I hope I don't miss page 2077, I imagine a lot of baby Liaras are going to be posted.

Birthday gift is hard.
The firstborn gets Shepato not choke on them, of course.

EDIT: Pic in question. Definitely not a new one, but so far the only one that has elicited a 'squee' noise from me.

Well, if my car keys excited me anywhere near as much as they would've when I was a baby, I'd never be able to drive anywhere.

My asari don’t celebrate the birthday, they celebrate the day of conception—which, also, is the day the child is given a name three Thessian years thereafter (that is, about a half a year from birth).

Would it have been more sad and better if Shepard died like Mordin or fighting wave after wave of reaper forces till the end?

IF they had to go that way, it would have been awesome if they had made shepard hold off reaper forces for the catalyst to fire performing a heroic sacrifice. Like the last mission in Halo Reach.

Though it would still have left me unsatisfied, due to the awesomeness Shepard has shown throughout the series why should s/he not be able to fight off a near infinite amount of reapers.<_<

Yuqi, between your murder of beloved characters and intention of incinerating Liara's babies I'd figured you were just a teensy bit evil, but I suppose now you're going to tell me you picked the 'You'd only slow me down' option during that scene, too, huh?
^_^

Interesting idea. It works for asari, but I'm glad humans don't do it that way.

I'm not sure I could stomach receiving a 'Happy I-Banged-Your-Mum-Day card' from my dad.

Just upgraded my laptop's ram. YEAHHH I'm gonna replay ME1, 2, 3 with HD mods this time. There are many side missions which I haven't done in ME1 and 2 like Conrad Verner. I treated him well in ME1 but he never shows up in ME2
