While it's true that Renagades get the girls, Paragons get the women. ^_^

@GT: That you do. Apparently all that
training I did with multiple full paragons has taught me nothing. I
forget sometimes that the annoying ****s on the internet sometimes just
need direction, and maybe a hug.

Hugs can solve more problems than most people would think.
Shame there was no option to hug Harbinger, the war would've ended then and there.

Hug. ^_^

Shepard's a peacemaker, convince Harbinger and Leviathan to make up and be friends.
Then hope they leave us lesser species alone.

Hugging the Catalyst and teaching him the values of love and friendship totally should've been an option for the most Paragon of the Paragons.

TIM too. I reckon if you'd pulled him in for a hug and said, "It's all right.." a la LotSB, they could have been best friends.

And to avoid claims of Paragon favoritism, Renegades should get the option to simply kick them in the balls and be done with it.

Maybe a Renegade could "hug" him until his head falls off. The balls kick works too though. :P

BTW, thanks for mentioning the thing about adblock earlier. Worked like a charm. I'm a noob to most of that stuff.

I really really hate the thought of that too. Sometimes I imagine this scenario where Javik learns about jokes from Shepard and tries racist stand-up on Liara. And every bit ends with him getting stasis'd.

Oh, and have a Liara! :)

No problem, it has saved me many times in the past. :wizard:

One of my main reasons for hating it is that I really can't imagine Javik ever wanting love. I imagine someone who lost as much as he did would prefer to keep everyone at arm's length, especially after his whole ordeal with his indoctrinated crew.

I do headcanon that they become friendlier with eachother after the war is over, but never to the point of love.

Although that could just be the Liaramancer biased side of my mind speaking.

Especially with a primitive asari. I can definitely see them becoming friends, but not bondmates. Especially since my Shepard is alive. But you could be right about Liaramancer bias. I could just be jealous.
;)

I'd like to think that he visited the graves of his friends, as he said he would, but there finds a reason to live.
He still needs to write that book with Liara, so he can't be offing himself just yet.

It's ok to be biased, that's why you're here. ^_^

I can't see Liara's interest in Javik going anywhere past the academic level, and probably even a lot of that faded after she learned some of the truth from him. I agree they probably become better friends (which isn't saying much) later on, but he just reminds me of a grumpy old uncle or something. He's too "you damn kids get off my lawn" for me to think he gives two sh!ts about love.

Plus this whole thing...

Was it really punishable by death? I must've missed that dialogue.

Well, that explains why he's so grumpy. There was probably a cute densorin girl he was sweet on, but he wasn't allowed to act on his feelings, under pain of death. Then, he comes to the future and the first thing he sees is an interspecies couple.

I'd be bitter as well.

I never made Javik look into his memory shard, so he never mentioned visiting his friends' graves. So, like screwball said, I imagine after the war and after writing that book he simply settled down in a mansion the hanar built for him and grumpily yelled at tourists to get off his lawn for the rest of his days...

You know, someone should totally write a fanfic of Javik and Liara's book, with a little side-commentary by the two of them. I'd definitely read that. I'd do it myself, but the writer's block is killing me at the moment...

This idea is gold. Clint's got my vote.

And as far as interspecies romance being punishable by death, I'm 80% sure that's just a joke. If you search "condescending Javik" there is a meme floating around. Some of them are pretty funny, i.e...

I just saw a Smudboy video talking about what didn't make sense in ME3. I feel like a part of my brain is trying to escape from head, just from the sheer horror it had to endure. I've never seen a person so venomous or obsessive with one thing, as much as Smudboy is with ME.

I'll give an example of his sheer stupidity. He complains that in the marketing, when they showed off the Sur'kesh level at E3 prior to ME3's release, certain characters say dialogue that isn't present in the final cut of the game. He points it out to imply it as a negative by Bioware's part.

Seriously?!

Smudboy is rather nitpicky which does ruin his crediblity and focuses on things that, while rather silly, is rather harmless (the marketing videos). That said, I do apreciate the fact that he dares to speak up, he was one of the few who called out how bad the actual ME2 intro was.

SergeantSnookie wrote...
Glad to see I'm not the only one who
actually finds Smudboy annoying. It seems like a lot of people in the
S&C just copy-paste whatever he says..

I find it to be quite the opposite. People get hung up in his nitpicks too much to focus on his actual reasonable and critical critiqus. I hardly see anyone support him on BSN.

Re smudboy: Yes, he can be nitpicky and even wrong at times (e.g. ME2 marketing video - if you pause the game in ME1 to give orders, you are not giving orders in real time).

The line they changed from the demo is valid though - the script did get dumbed down *a lot* from the first draft.

The thing is just this... You can like a flawed product, so all this hostility makes me think that people secretly fear he's right.
