Gemma Arterton is a solid choice, she never occurred to me. She's not a bad actress either, which is nice. It's hard to think of anyone that really looks a lot like her (aside from you-know-who). IMO, Liara's got such an interesting face, I would hope they'd go with someone that at least resembled her, rather than someone "Hollywood" pretty. I like Olivia Wilde but I think her face is maybe too angular, for lack of a better word. These casting things always stump me though. Hard to think of anything other than "oh, that's so-and-so wearing a Liara costume."

Liara is just...Liara.

Funny, I just stumbled on this, and most of these choices are pretty good. Seems like they agree with you, Snookie. Sad about Wrex though!!

Sadly my photoshop skills resume to removing red eyes. Would be nice to see that though.

Voldemort jokes aside, I didn't know who she was until about a fortnight ago.
But it only took one interview for me.. she's pretty, obviously, but her voice/personality.. oh god why.
It's disillusioning, because here is a person as close to Liara as you can get, and she talks like a sorority sister.
Bah.

She has Liara's face, not vice-versa.

Never seen an interview with her, so I don't know much about her personality, but I did watch Never Back Down 2 and her voice sounded okay, though I admit it was weird listening to her actual voice. I am glad that they didn't choose her to be Liara's VA however.

I know. I meant that using Barr wouldn't be an issue because they wouldn't need to show Barr's face, hence being as close as possible to the Wrex we know and love.
Using anyone but Steven Barr is pointless, IMHO.

Little late to the party here, but I was just watching Hell on Wheels and remembered Robin McCleavy. She's a relative unknown, but I think she could pull off Liara as well as anyone. Plus, *winks at GT* she's an Aussie.



Also, Mary Elizabeth Winstead's got the eyes for it.



Both are relatively good actresses, imo. But I'm still not sure anyone would be satisfying.
