Feron may not be my favorite character but I have no reason to  hate him. Without him Shepard would be in the hands/claws/whatever of the collectors. After reading the comic plus of course hearing Liara say that she made it clear that she was, as we humans say, taken, I say that he and Liara are no more than friends, no doubt about that. And Feron seems to be quite a nice guy, he is helping Liara in the SB base and stuff, so as long as he doesn't do anything stupid he's okay.

This is also something that botheres me. I could certainly understand his conflict if Shepard was alive when being sold to the Collectors. But Shepard was nothing more than burned flesh and muscle with scraps of armor in it. I actually have a hard time believing that simply selling a corpse crossed his moral lines and made him decide to fight the SB.

How would Feron know the Collectors plans for Shepard? Does he even know about the Reapers?

Do we know anything about the drell's post-mortem rituals or beliefs? Mistreatment of the dead could be something truly horrible in drell culture.

I'm not sure how I see Feron, his loyalty is high for Liara as she is now the Shadow Broker, I doubt he would betray Liara, I will be very happy to support and remain loyal to someone who I constantly betrayed in the past and then ended up saving me from 2 years of torture. He won't be an enemy for sure unless he becomes indoctrinated. He will proberly become a guardian angel type of person to Liara, similiar to Kal Reegar with Tali. Seems like a nice guy anyway, and Shepards friends list isn't high at all, barely hitting 10 to be honest.

I think they just wanted Shepard because Harbinger wanted to run some tests on the Human who somehow stopped the Reaper invasion. It was confirmed lately that the human Reaper was not meant to replace Sovereign as a new vanguard and the Reapers started their travel to the milky way galaxy as soon as ME1 ended. So their motives for wanting Shepard's corpse probably were scientific.

From what Thane tells us about his wife it seems they have a very official 'burial' of some kind. They strongly believe in afterlife since they have a special god for it. The ancient Egyptians also believed in afterlife but it would only work if the dead person was prepared properly. Hence creating enormous tombs (aka pyramids) and embalming their kings to prepare them for the afterlife. Not doing so was unthinkable. Though Drell ceremonies don't seem to be quite as grand, I still think they're 'meant' to be given a proper ceremony. I doubt any modern races at the time of ME would still be 'primitive' enough to be offended by the lack of such a ritual, especially when it's about another species.

Thane went through the trouble of carefully laying Nassana on her desk and crossing her arms over her chest after killing her. You may have a point.

Could also be that people assume the collectors are taking slaves whenever they abduct people for their genetic experiments, and Feron considers anyone who does business with slavers as being complicit in their crimes, even if they aren't directly engaging in the practice.

Just been thinking, I hope we can actually take over Cerberus, with Liara becoming the Shadow Broker and Shepard becoming illusive man/woman, they can both share some real interesting data with each other, both becoming one of the most powerful individuals in the galaxy. They can do some real good, and no one will ever know the difference. You would be an idiot to pass up the chance on becoming the leader of Cerberus. Just had a brain wave for a fanfic, so many ideas coming into my head...

here is my opinion on the whole LairaXFarron issue

I seriouly don't think Laira Cheated, the people who still think she might have, mush have not read the Comic, her and Farron where on the hunt for a Few days at most, and most of the time Laira was diciding wether or not to punch Farron, or rip him in two with her Bioticts

the time before the comic is very short as well, because both the Shadow broker and TIM where looking for his body, and with both of their rescorces it could not have been that hard to find sheperds body.

If she gets with Farron if you did not romace with her, big woop, not a big deal
