 What's the most : boring/stupid Liara Fanfic you've ever read?

I'm not gonna say my first choice,but rrmy second choice is the one with the ever-extended boobs that take over the galaxy.

Anything asari!mirrorverse - what's the point in fanfiction if you're gonna use different characters, different setting, etc?
[Note: Making lots of money doesn't count]

Apart from that, dunno. I tend to stop reading stuff very very early if the style irks me or it just "doesn't feel right" and the rest is mostly decent.

Seconded! Even worse if they make the characters OOC.
Also, I don't like first person perspective. They seem silly.


My favourites are ones that set when Shepard and Liara are still friends (preferably ME1). I love the building up.

I think the most likely theory is that the next ME game will be set during the events of the main trilogy. I think Liara being in such a game as a squadie would be plausable, but unlikely. It would be nice to see her making a cameo or some refferences made to her though

I really hope none of the existing cast is in future ME games. There is such a thing as taking things too far and ruining them. If they did feature the original characters, or their children; something somewhere would upset people.

At this point, it's about damage control. I would rather remember the good old times than see how they were ruined in the future.

Haven't read enough to answer. I did like the only one that I've read fully, though.
I'm guessing the bad outnumber the good by a very wide margin.


I know I harp on about the endings a bit, so apologies in advance, but I just need to go on the record and say that I take back everything bad I've ever said about ME2.
I've just finished the suicide mission, yet again, and hot damn. Sure it has issues, but when it's put into perspective against certain other endings which will not be named, it's the epitome of awesome.

I just wish that Liara had something to say after you'd completed it, instead of "Thanks for coming by." Y'know, something along the lines of, "Holy sh*t Shepard, you did it. Now we can go and drink margaritas and make babies."
Yes, she would say 'holy sh*t'.

Hell, I wish she had more to say in general. I'd like to be able to pop in hear her opinion of a mission that I'd just completed. But maybe I'm being too greedy. Liara already gets a lot compared to other LI's, so I feel selfish asking for more.

Meh, just some thoughts.
Now I have to start ME3 again. This is probably going to be very ugly.

That it no way suggest that the next ME will be a MMO, especially when you remember that Bioware's last MMO TOR was a complete bust.

If anything, all this means is that all future Bioware games will have a crappy tacked on multiplayer component ala ME3.

And man, reading that article makes my blood boil.

Sure. Though there was some pressure to play with premade dollhouses and such instead.

Annnd I see that Yuqi did with her dolls the same thing I did to my action figures after awhile:)  I think I broke more then half of them either melting them with things or smashing them to just see them fly apart. Ah, good times.

Also, Im not sure Ive read enough fanfiction to really pick a super bad one. Mostly I just read the ones I think are good, so that means by default all the other ones are bad.( Im Kidding folks:) ) There was this one with  self-insert into Mass Effect about some guy playing the Violin for Tali or something...I thought that was a little weird.

Basically every love triangle story I've read so far. Either Liara is massively OOC, or the other character...or it ends in a threesome

I haven't read much fanfic at all, so I'm cheating perhaps in naming a category that I haven't even read. But I'd nominate anything that ships Liara with Aria or Javik, or any other pairing that is completely out of character for both parties. I also don't quite understand the alternate universe fanfics. If you want to write fiction that takes place in an alternate universe, why not create new characters instead of importing ones from ME?

I'll never understand that. A lot of Liara's allure is her personality, so when you throw all that out the window to make an 'erotic' story, it kills off a lot of what makes the character interesting.

But then those are probably written by 14 year olds who see blue ****** and not much else..
..like me in 2007, I was 14 when ME came out, and I had a bit of a hurr-durr moment over the sexiness.

But that's behind me now. I swear.

Well, the Star Trek franchise has concepts of parallel (alternate) universes/realities (I think every series had some "mirrorverse" episodes) . So does StarGate (in some SG1 episodes). It's nothing new. I think some of the mirrorverse stories are not bad.

Honestly, the biggest turn off for me when it comes to fanfics, is when an author slanders all the love interests that aren't their own, and it ends up seeming more like a character bashing fic than anything else.

I mean, sure, it's fine to dislike a character, but at least make an effort to not push that character OOC.

I don't think I've read one that has bashed on a character yet.

The most annoying fics for me are when Shep is friendly with everyone (I mean super friendly.). Kind of turns me of the fic.
