Do we know exactly what Liara's look will be? I thought they were still working on it.

Casey Hudson RT'd someone who was very happy about Liara's ME3 demo look, but a few days prior he commented about someone's thread saying that the models weren't finalized yet.

So we have no idea one way or another.

Thanks! I will just keep focusing on the fact that she will be a party member again, that will keep me happy.

Yeah, when I saw that, I'd say it's a safe bet Casey doesn't want to change her back to her LOTSB look.

I'm hoping that's not the case.  I'd hate to have to start using TexMod just for the third installment.

Same here. Might just download the LOTSB skin once it is available.

"EDIT"

Just got the "The hero dies" ending in DA:O with a warden that romanced Alistair. Damn. Talk about a depressing ending.

Don't think I could bear to see such an ending to Mass effect where Shepard dies and we are left seeing sad-Liara before the credits roll. :(

Why, Bioware, why? Give us LoTSB Liara back or I'll destroy quarians.

This tweet isn't Casey's response, it's the question/comment to him.

As much as I love her look in LotSB, I just hope the character screen pic of her doesn't look sad like it does now.  Other than that I really don't care.  I would miss the eyes though.

I wouldn't mind that kind of ending so long as the alternative is letting Liara and the rest of the universe die horribly.

What I would hate as an ending would be adopting the Morrigan approach for Liara. I just don't think it would be right for her character. It would have to be alluded to throughout the game but even then it wouldn't feel appropriate.

The Morrigan ending did make me catch my breath but that was because of the way the text screen was written. To me Liara disappearing without explanation would be wrong.

Cannot really see how Bioware will make Liara pull off a Morigan and simply dissapear. That would go against her character and seem to be something of an ass-pull.

What I will hate however is this. A text scroll that simply states that Shepard+Liara disapeared like it did with the Grey warden and his or hers love interest.

I liked Liara till I met Samara. And then there's the whole 'I'm suddenly a possessed, revenge filled maniac' part in ME2.

I don't mind the text scrolls. It gives me the ability to imagine whatever I want for the characters. Even slightly different endings depending on each Shepard. I figure a big scene from BioWare (bar a possible bondmate ceremony) is not going to be quite what I have in mind, so I'm happy for the ambiguity of the text screen.

I do think there is a good chance of Shep ending up with a Revan style ending.

Some ambigious endings are okay but I just loathed "And then Grey Warden and the king of Ferelden vanished completly and were never seen again!".

But ambigious endings are nothing but a necesary evil due to the nature of the main character I guess. Atleast it does not go into conflict with fanfics.

Okay, I've been meaning to do this for a while.

Since the "Liara's the equivalent age of sixteen" argument is frequently brought up by people who disparage her romance, I made a thread to which you can easily link that should clear up confusion on their part.

Erm... without Liara, how can there be little blue children? Unless they'd be born during ME3 to which I'd say: NO.

I was thinking that too.  No babies until after the Reapers are defeated.

As the GM of a traditional pen-and-paper RPG where the battle for the future of life is coming, I'm going to call this entirely possible. Some people react to potential armageddon by deciding they can't bring a new life into such a crisis; others decide they want to make sure that something of themselves/those they love lives on, should one or both of the parents die. My wife's character is having as many children as she can before leading the armies of Light against the legions of undead that threaten the world. OTOH, she can literally evac those children to Heaven if worst comes to worst (aka Yu-Shan; it's Exalted for those familiar with White Wolf), so mitigating factors exist.

My thought is that you're right -- Liara would probably wait for a variety of reasons. She's absurdly busy between being the SB and fighting alongside Shepard, she wouldn't want potential "little blue children" to be victims of the Reapers, and waiting would indicate a faith in Shep that s/he would most likely feel keenly. On the other hand, we've seen Liara leap into the breach on these sorts of matters (c.f the end of ME1), and we know that the Reapers can miss hidey-holes (Ilos), so it wouldn't seem completely OOC for me.

Time line wise, I don't think it would fit.  LotSB is suppose to take place after the suicide mission.  ME3 is set 6-12 months after the SM and two months after the Arrival DLC. Which makes zero sense to me to have it avaiable after Horizon.  It should have only been availble after the SM, but it is what it is.

The one thing we don't know is how long an asari pregenacy last.  It is shorter than a human pregenacy or longer?

I think LotSB makes sense to do before the SM as a 'personal' loyalty mission, particularly if your Shepard romanced (and remained faithful to) Liara.  I do it when I still have a few LM's/sidequests left before the SM and then do the cabin scene after the SM, since it gives me something to look forward to coming back to  ;)

On my last Shepard, I saved LOTSB and the cabin scene before the suicide mission, because I played Arrival after Horizon. And with Shepard going on trial, Liara talking about diving into the heat of battle when the Reapers arrive, and promising to always come back, doesn't make sense. That's like making a promise to always visit before going to jail for life. And Liara's the Shadow Broker, so she should already know what's what.

While if I'm still doing the suicide mission, it makes sense to promise to return from that.

But canon wise, my Shepard made the promise to Liara after the suicide mission, and then played Arrival. Which shows how the promise is going to be broken.
