So, something amazing has just happened. You remember I was telling you about my little brother, the self-proclaimed ME hater? Earlier today he told me that he was going to start playing through the series, just to see what I've been banging on about.
It's bittersweet though, because he doesn't care about the RPG elements - he doesn't 'investigate' - and just wants to shoot things, he also gets lost a lot (he prefers linear shooters) but I'll take what I can get with him.

We've just talked to the Council after Eden Prime, and recruited Garrus and Wrex. He seems to like it so far. He likes Wrex. The grin on his face when he went into Chora's Den was hilarious. "Is this where you find Liara?" he asked me. Dick.

Unfortunately, he asked me if Miranda was in ME1 (he knows about some characters from watching me play, and watching videos on YouTube) and he was disappointed when I told him she wasn't. I told him Liara was better, and he said "But at least Miranda is a human, and doesn't have tentacles."
Initially he wanted to rush ahead to ME2 so he could talk to her, but I convinced him to play through ME1 and learn the story.
So I think I've got a future Mirimancer on my hands. I'd better warn the Miranda thread that he's coming.
He laughs at me now about my Liara thing, but he will understand, soon. :happy:

He also practically pissed himself laughing when he found he could ask the same question over and over.

It's a pretty cool thing to bond over. I like being asked questions about ME, but I never thought he'd show any interest in the games.

So yeah, I may have a Mirimancer for a brother, and he shoots me 'knowing' looks whenever we see an asari, but I still love him.
This could be the start of a great thing.

Okay, that line was pretty funny. 

Sounds great that you 2 got something to bond over. Let us know if your little brother loses his mind, after seeing Blue´s love making scene....

Asari does not have tentacles , tentacles are prehensile and can move flexably and indepedently from the rest of the body like an arm or a leg, the asari crest are semi-rigid and cannot move on their own accord.

I would not advice pushing Liara at him, everyone has their own favourites, for their own reasons, as long as you know who is most important to you

I am really glad they decided to give an extraordinarily satisfying romance scene in ME3 instead of what many of us feared there would be.

I really want to say "Coolstorybro" But... That's honestly awesome. And hey, Mirimancer's are great... (Well... most of them anyway's)

I've lost count how many times I've tried to convince my brother to play through the series. He has some weird
obsession with Bf3... <_< (Shame he sucks at it)
And, his variety of games sucks. A bow my head in shame whenever I fail to get him to play ME. (He's definately missing out, there's not doubt about that.)

Swearing is fine. Using slurs either directly referring to or originating from sexist, racist, or homophobic terms not so much. The former in this particular case, and it continues to be a big problem among gamers, so I’d prefer to stay away from them even when used ‘innocuously’. End rant.

I’m sure he didn’t mean anything by it. But if it’s thought as normal—and encouraged as it was by you yourself—there’s a problem. It’s not that I was offended. It’s that it’s offensive. There’s a difference, and if you just dismiss it—or worse, encourage it—then you’re not thinking about the problem. I don’t need an apology, it’s not that kind of an issue. What I need is for y’all to think about why it’s offensive, and hopefully become ‘abnormal’ in the process…

If you wouldn’t say it referring to your sister, or mother, or, hell, Liara…you probably shouldn’t say it at all, no matter how good or neutral your intention.

For me, the offensiveness of it has kind of been diminished, since it gets thrown around so much where I'm from, and I didn't account for societal differences when posting it. Thats all I can say.

Yeah I'm not actually going to force him. It's just ribbing between us, mostly.
If he's convinced that Miranda is the one for him, then so am I.

We've just finished up on Therum, and he keeps on threatening to say mean things to Liara.
The kid knows my weakness. It's just a shame that he sucks so hard. He's playing on casual, and he still dies more than I do on hardcore. I cacked myself when he got mad at the "girrafe" (geth colossus) that killed him. He can't drive the Mako worth a damn.
