Even if Shepard manages to die an old man or old woman, Liara still outlives Shepard by many centuries. I think it would be highly unlikely that she'd spend those centuries alone. Shepard may be Liara's first (and perhaps greatest) love, but he or she won't be Liara's last.

My canon version of Shepard wouldn't want her to be forever alone after his death either. That would be a sad and depressing existence, and not something a person would wish on someone they care about.

Isn't Shepard enhanced with synthetics, he wouldn't live for centuries to come but he would live to something like 150. It doesn't feel right knowing that after death your life partner is with another person, but it also isn't right knowing that your partner is forever alone (No pun intended.)

No. That sucks even more, sorry.
If you don't like the idea of her being alone, picturing her surrounded by their children helps. She'll never be truly alone.
But if the cancer thing is your personal headcanon, I won't mess with it.


I never thought I'd get to a point in my life where a fictional relationship bothers me so much.
You have to give BioWare credit for that.
