I trust Liara.  I have a hard time completely trusting anyone that betrays people and Liara did say that Feron betrayed her more than once.  

I'm all for them being friends, I am not for them being togethers as lovers.  Feron in my view isn't good enough for her.

WOW, again, I go to bed and get up to several pages to go through.  I feel like I opened a can of worms by quoting from another thread.   I just used it as an example.

I'll be honest, Robert Shepard was/is jealous. There is always the chance something happened, however unlikely it may seem. Liara just seemed a bit too concerned about someone who supposidly betrayed her a bunch of times. If it comes about she did do something, hopefully theres a leave her to the Reapers option lol.

Feron lied to her about who he was working for. When he first met her, the Shadow Broker hired him to lead her off the trail of finding Shepard. And Cerberus hired him to grab data on the Broker's dealings with the Collectors, while also saving Shepard's corpse. Which is why he delayed her from saving Shepard's corpse. Beyond that, he pushed her away from a grenade. He took whatever hits she did to him, and never struck back. He put his life on the line for her, and was captured in the process. And he was sorry that she could never trust him.

No one needs more Ardat Yakshi in the universe. I'd prefer if Liara got with another species beside her own.

I just think Liara and Feron is more properly setup, that if she doesn't go for Shepard in ME3, then Feron's the next bet. They had months of history together at this point.

I kinda liked Benezia's character, but the massive cleavage just ... wasn't needed. That's three games I can count now, maybe even four where Bioware has been completely unsubtle in making a female character's body appealing

If you can romance Liara in ME3 for the first time, the only way I can see it working with another asari, story wise, is if it was an asari she has known since childhood. And this childhood friend you'd have to compete with. Because it would feel wrong for her to go for someone random at a hub world, without any history between them, and after one conversation, it's a full relationship. So it'd have to be a childhood friend, or someone from the past that you're always running into, who's expressing interest.

The only problem I have with this is, if she chooses Shepard, it'll come off as, "I could have done the taboo thing, and took a moral stand, but the male human was better".

Nevertheless Liara getting together with an asari later in her life is still possible.

For unromanced Liara i like Feron as an option, he seems to me a gentleman and someone who wouldnt think twice to give his life for her. But drell live about 85 years, and Liara has 900 years ahead of her. In the future she can always met someone who she feels a connection with, an asari or other

I was just in another thread about music that represents your Shepard. I then got thinking about all these awesome songs from my childhood and had all these mental images of how Robert Shepard and Liara could have a scene fitted to it. So if you could have one piece of music for your Shepard and Liara (if thats your choice in Liara's LI of course), then what would it be and what would you have as the situation accompanying it?

Song: Our Lady Peace - Not Enough

Scene: 

-Shepard arises after an explosion on Earth while fighting a Reapers.
-Stands up calling for Liara, and unable to find her continues the search elsewhere.
-As the chorus kicks in he sees her hand from under rubble and charges over, ripping his helmet off.
-For the rest of the chorus he clears the rubble calling out to her, with manly tears
-When the second verse starts he lifts her up and checks to see if she is still alive
-At which point he picks her up into his arms.
-Change to a scene where he is slow motion carrying her through the rubble of whatever city they are into towards the Normandy
-Just as the chorus starts again Liaras hand reaches up to Shepards face and he looks down to see her smiling
-When the break starts, camera cuts to show Cerberus mercs appear and Shepard ducking behind cover
-Then just as the instrumental starts Shepard draws a pistol and with Liara leaning on his shoulder the two battle their way back to the Normandy
-Just as the instrumental draws to a close a Mech drops infront of the two, right in front of the Normandy entrace, both dropping their weapons and turn to hold each other thinking its the end
-The mech explodes as they kiss, blown up by Garrus with a rocket
-They turn and smile, Shepard pulling Liara up to safety.
-As the song closes out the Normandy takes off showing Shepard holding Liara for one final kiss.

It doesn't have to be a competition.  This is only for non-romanced Liara.

But it would have to, if you're trying to romance Liara for the first time in ME3, and ran into this girl. Liara would have to choose between you and her. And I doubt she'd be exclusive to just non-romance playthrough, because that would be wrong. So chances are, the same deal might happen, even in a romance. It would be wrong for this asari to only have feelings in non-romance playthroughs. Same with Liara's attraction.

My favourite 'version' of Liara is LotSB. I like her personality for different reasons in ME1 and ME2 but the look I prefer is LotSB mainly for those drop-dead-gorgeous eyes!

For the trilogy it would have to be that Liara met an asari in ME3, that happens to be another squadmember, and if non-romanced get together with her, but it wouldnt make much sense in my point of view then.

If Liara dont make a come back in a future game, i dont believe there's a chance to see her with another asari. Just in our headcanon
