Is it true Mass Effect 1 is coming to ps3?

Yes

but we don't have confirmation on which regions it will come too. You have to buy the whole trilogy to get it on disk, but you can download just ME1 from PSN.

And to talk about the romance in the context of LOTSB not being done. I will be blunt and say I hate it and I do not buy it. Without LOTSB Shepard never actually gets the chance to call Liara out on her behavior and argue with her (remember how carthathic those 3 paragon interupts were on hotel Azure?), how awful is that? It would be like if Shepard never got the chance to argue about Horizon with the VS. In fact, Shepard did not seem the slightest bothered by her actions on Illium just saying "You made up for it." during the time capsule scene.

Im going to have to admit that during the time capsule scene, when I hear Liara talk about how she should have gone with you in ME2, I find myself saying "Yes, you should have" outloud to myself.<_<

Nah, that would mean she would have a crummy cameo in ME3.

But really, that line is great and I like it..... if you played LOTSB.

Truthfully, I hope for at least some interaction between Liara and Aria. About the events of the Redemption comic or Aria saying something snarky to Liara like "So..you finially got your Boyfriend/Girlfriend back did you?" for example.

Youare not the only one, I love coming here and will certainly continue todo so as long as I am welcome but I miss the days were this was the place where we came to share our love for our favourite character and engage in stimulating and thoughtful topics about our favourite asari and the rest the Mass Effect world that affect her and our Shepards.

Yeah, I miss those times too, Akernis - but it is kind of inevitable that the thread has gone here, hasn't it? There's just less and less to talk about unless we have new Liara content (or just plain ME content for that matter) to talk about. Otherwise, we just discuss cyclical topics, or just screw around.

While as already stated I won't leaveregardless I would like to ask whether people were interested in tryingto make things more interesting again by for examble trying to come up with and participate in on-topic... topics. Just as we seem to begin to do again now.

That's what I'm going for right now - I am still around of course, and I'd love to engage in a discussion here about Liara or Mass Effect in general as soon as it appears, and while I may not be interested in cyclical talks anymore I am still going through most of what's posted here.

What I'm hoping for is basically LotSB version for Aria - without any romance, I should add, since I do feel like this would be out of character for Aria. Also, I don't think she should be a squad member either, since that makes little to no sense - taking orders from Shepard? No, I don't see her doing that - I see her as an ally in the story, one that maybe gives you information and helps you along the way through Omega as you fight via a comlink.

Basically, I hope that it manages to flesh out Aria as a character, while keeping it as unmistakably hers. She should still be the one we know (and in some people's cases love too), just explored more with this DLC. Of course, another part is that I want the story itself to be intriguing. Finding where Omega is -> kill some Cerberus troops -> boss fight with Cerberus VIP -> War Asset gain type of plot just isn't satisfying anymore.

Of course, some kind of choice at the end would be neat. I'm don't have a specific idea about what I'd like to see happen, but I want to be pleasantly surprised in terms of choice - maybe not even in the end either, but throughout the DLC. More dialogue options would be great.

Also, does anyone know if there will be squad dialogue in the Omega DLC?

I really to hear her say that line, to show that she really wanted to be there with you but I find myself conflicted about that one. One the one hand I so dearly wanted her to join Shepard in ME2, but on the other that would mean no LotSB which remains one of the absolute marvels in videogaming for me (and the best DLC ever made IMO) and as Lizardviking said she might have gotten a cameo for ME3 instead Posted Image.

Good, I missed the great depression of pages 2153 and 2154.

Anyway, what are your hopes for Liara in the Omega DLC. (Even though we know f*** all about it.)

Beyond the mandatory wish for as much Liara screen time as possible and anything romance-related I would like to see how Liara feels about Aria and vice versa, there might be some belligent tension there, it would be awesome to see Liara go protective girlfriend if Aria (inentially to provok her) pretended to hit on Shepard. Whenever in ME2 when Aria tells (Male) Sheaprd to that he needs to find a girl I always (when alone in the room) mention aloud that I already have one, namely Liara, would be nice to be able to do so in-game or as before having Liara mention that Shepard is "as we humans say" taken.

I am not sure how it should fit into Omega DLC but, beyond romance content, what I most would like to hear is something more about Liara's own life, some look into her SB work, her career, her childhood etc. something to get to know her better, the talk about her childhood in the "date scene" was nice but I could definately use some more of that.

I would love to talk more but I have to go to bed, see you guys tomorrow.

I certainly hope so. I don't think I would've enjoyed Leviathan at all if everyone was silent. Hopefully they don't pull a LOTSB and get Meer/Hale and Carrie Ann Moss as the only actors with lines.

Although I suppose it is possible they recorded the EC/Leviathan/Omega lines all at once.

Tell me about it - basically squad dialogue was the main reason I enjoyed Leviathan, otherwise I would've been completely indifferent about it - and why shouldn't I be, since such a big discovery apparently doesn't have to have an impact on the grand scale of things. If they had recorded more lines it would be perfect.

Otherwise, LotSB style would be...

Aria: You travel with fascinating companions, Shepard. <Insert comment about squad member #1 or #2 (based on a roll) here>
Shepard: Same reply regardless of who he/she's brought.

Depending on when they cut out Omega from the orginal ME3 game, they could already have some lines recorded.

Hey, Akernis...Just read your long post and wanted to say a few things.

I'm just gonna say things in a random order..I guess first, since I haven't been paying attention, what do you mean when people have been getting more "tasteless" in their discussions of Liara/turning her into a piece of meat? I can *assume* I know what you mean, but I don't want to assume.

Particularly because as you might remember, I don't think nudity is inherently tasteless. Nor do I think even sex is. I don't think merely being explicit is tasteless, I think it's about the tone and portrayal. But perhaps you agree and you are saying even images tasteless in tone images were posted, that aren't really about appreciating Liara or her character. I don't really know what was posted to spark that post of yours, so.

I also want to say - you mention that Theo and I have semi-left the thread, I said it before and I want to repeat it. I still have an immense and deep appreciation for Liara, I'm still interested in her, and in Mass Effect...but I'm rather bored with both this thread and the thread on Something Awful, which I have spent a ton of time in. What bores me is that both threads are just getting cyclical, I'm tired of the same discussions I have weighed in on multiple times before, I'm tired of the same arguments, I'm tired of ending chat, I'm tired of paragon vs. renegade chat, I'm tired of even arguing about various parts of Liara's character and Asari culture that have been done to death, such as whether or not Liara is a good character, whether or not she is a good Shadow Broker, etc.

And worse than all of that, is Bioware. They just don't care anymore. Leviathan completely missed the point and they don't seem to have any intention of delivering more content I really have a reason to care about - they don't seem to have any desire to flesh out Liara more at all, as a character or as a romance, nor do they seem to want to provide her and Shep a proper epilogue or anything like that.

And the game itself is still riddled with content where she is just out of character or flawed, and this continues more and more with content they release.

I would be all over some new content that had heart in it, and/or a new game that had effort, but they are just half assing things and they don't seem to have any understanding of what fans really want. They aren't delivering much at all that I want to see, basically.

And that's just, killing my motivation. Leviathan was such a disappointment that any discussion about it was over 2-3 days after it released, and it was back to regularly scheduled cyclical arguments. The next dlc looks to be exactly the same kind of thing. When I think on ME these days I just get filled with disappointment and crushed hopes.

Seems like the majority of art that gets posted these days is like 90% repeats, and then the remainder is just art I don't find all that appealing, either it's just not that well drawn or it's tasteless and misses the point of Liara's character.

I guess people aren't making any new art either. So that's why I've been around the thread less.

On topic and probably has been discussed but whatever:  Lets say Liara hasn't been romanced by Shepard.  What do you guys see her doing after the reaper war, what kind of character to you see her being without Shepard's direct influence/involvment?  And lets make it interesting with the SB stuff not really being an option, its probably in pretty bad shape after the relays go down.  Reconstructable maybe depending on your ending choice.

I think she would write that book and perhaps return to Thessia and help rebuild.

And yes, I also believe this thread has taken a sharp drop in terms of quality.

No your not the only one Doozer but what can i say minus the trolls i like you people you've gotten me through many boring days at work.   and we all have been screwing around a bit

*looks at Crimson while grabbing Liara*  Hey you never said we were exclusive.  plus i like it better when she harrasses me.

as for your question,  I'd say she goes back to Thessia and helps rebuild although I think that eventually since she hasn't romanced Shep she would probably assume the role her mother had vacated in Asari politics.  Peace broker, negotiator, mediator, etc....

I'd have to say I want some interesting conversation/autodialogue hopefully stuff that references Redemption.  maybe some funny lines between Aria and Liara.  I have no problem in thinking that Benezia and Aethetya knew/know Aria and maybe the showed off baby pics or something.  (i kid about the baby pics part,  kind of).   and of course i would love the ability to make a true blue biotic trio by adding Aria to the squad for a mission or two (yes i understand that Aria is purple just let me have this one thing.)

Also will someone please post so i don't feel like I'm talking to myself here
