I can see Traynor (who's quite similar to Liara - the smart chick that gets thrust into events that are a bit above her head but proceeds to help save the galaxy), but not Shiala (we know next to nothing about her) or Javik (Liara's interested in the protheans, but that doesn't mean that she'll date date *any* prothean just because he's prothean, and the two don't exactly get along well)

Seriously though, why asari?

"Shepard isn't with Liara" is, of course, unthinkable  ;)

But somehow I like the idea that those little blue children (In my headcanon, Liara and Shepard have two daughters) get a pureblood half sister...some decades after Shepard's death ofc!

How can you kill that which has no life? :P

In all seriousness, no one here doubts your genetic disposition for killing, Snookie. ^_^

Since the thread is in a lull, I'll pose a question before I go to class.

How many of you would be interested in a spin-off game in which you got to play as Liara? I suppose it could over the events between ME1 and ME2 or between Shepard's death and revival, or some other time period altogether. I know some of that has been covered in the comics, but not everyone has read them (myself included).

I even thought it might be cool to have a series of episodes where you play as several of the different squaddies during the same time period(s), and explore the events going on in parallel stories. That would at least shut the Liara haters up. Maybe...probably not...nvm.

Anyways, I'd love a Liara game, even if it was bite-size. Though it'd be weird without Shepard, I admit.

I'll bite.  I think it would be great to see a game based off of the second part of your question with a bunch of little episodes featuring each squaddie.  The idea reminds me of Leliana's song the DLC for DAO it takes place before the events of DAO and tells about how Leliana came to be a chantry sister in Lothering where you find her.  I absolutely loved that DLC because it featured one of my favorite characters and was a good little story.  As long as BW handled a ME spinoff/DLC like that featuring Liara and the other squaddies I only have one thing to say

BTW:  Love that picture.

@Yuqi/GT:  Yowie, huh.....  well I can honestly say that of all the different chocolate treats i've had I've never had those.  I need to go to Australia quick and swim with the jellies:P

@Dragon:  4 personalities, huh......

Also for all the Tali/Liara pics on the last few pages I Love You Guys and Gals<3

You mean sort of like Leliana's Song in DAO? I wasn't a big fan of that tbh, and I liked Leliana. Playing as Liara could be cool I suppose, but I seem to be one of the few who are in the'completely new protagonist in the next game.' crowd.

EDIT; moreeman kind of ninja'd me with Leliana's song.

Eh, Im a sucker for Liara - so yea... Id probably be all over a mini game with her as a main char - if it took data from your PT's and remembered if you did/didn't romance her and such.  Depending on when about it happened.  Pre ME1 I guess that doesn't really matter - but how much fun can an archeological background be for a video game - press A to study... press A-B to study harder!  Right trigger to apply for rights to dig upon such and such land, left trigger to forcefully apply for funding.  Press x to dig.  achievment unlocked! Prothean trinket 1/4 discovered.
Should've made some Liara DLC for those comics (like redemption, even with the whole OOC liara goes ape**** crazy every 8 panels - but I can blame her bonding with my ren!shep for that I guess?), like Leiliana's dragon age DLC... (with some changes)...  but then again - Liara haters would have a fit Im sure - important to plot or not.

Yes, I thought as much: Liara's partner = whoever you personally find attractive, because girl on girl is hot. Great.

Welcome to "****** thinking with my balls" hour?  Because it's... fun...right?

Liara romance someone else: I cant really see her romancing anyone that we've been introduced to so far.  But then again, Ive fallen pretty deeply for my head canon that she falls for shep whether you romance her or not - its gonna take her some time to get over that and just maintain a deep friendship and consider the option to find someone else.  But if your forcing me to choose (and tali and garrus hook up)... Traynor.  I guess.  After a few years...  frakked if I know... depends on circumstances, just for the love of god not javik :pinched:

About the mini game thingy-ma-bob.

I would be all over that. But, as Doozer said, it can't be boring. It has to be a mix of action and story. Redemption would be the best for that.

I agree it needs action, but IMO, they can ditch the third-person cover shooting. I don't know how many of you have played Heavy Rain, but something like that would be fine by me.

Something to consider if your head-canon Shep and Liara run off into the wild blue yonder to live in peace and raise a family, if you wish your children to develop as their mom did they'd need a planet with a registered amounts of element zero in it's make-up to facilitate biotic development, yes?

There's a thought.

I would think so, probably why Asari prefer to return to Thessia to raise their families in matron years (fact or fanfiction, read so much I sometimes have trouble keeping the two seperate).  Sort of like we need to expose ourselves (humans) to virus's/bacteria to develop our immunities, adapt, and strengthen the body and whatnot (my shep had a problem with that, being a spacer growing up and no reason to spend much time planet side anywhere - had to rely on ''help'' to develop as a normal human should).
Would.... , during pregnancy, would the mother be encouraged to have a diet of element zero rich food items as well?
At any rate, Im sure there are booster shot like things or something, with the expansion to other worlds becoming common... (this is the fictional future, anythings possible...) the child can take while growing up or get treatments for, to assist in that regard should the ability to live on Thessia not be an option, no?

I'd think you'd need a little bit more help than just that.

I wonder if a biotic/element zero intolerant asari kid is possible, like lactose intolerance... <_<

basically this, because having every Asari migrate back home for birth seems a bit of a stretch considering the population of the Asari.  It would be cool though to imagine the Asari are like turtles where they have one specific breeding ground that they return to every time they mate.

There are many planets that are habitable and that have element zero, deciding which one though may take Shep's life time to find and figure out which one to live on, no need to go back to Thessia, IF one is wanting to hide the homestead from those that would bug the Shepard family for what ever disaster they must have the Shep for.

True. Vaguely remember a handful of planets in the small amount of the galaxy we're allowed to explore having natural trace amounts of the stuff. Were they habitable though, this I do not remember.

*impatiently taps up the ME wiki in between unstable wifi disconnects, can't remember which planets had it*

I've been following Blue: Iris (Mad-Hamlet), Pressure (Midnight Lion), Dark Energy (Melaradark), The Sheperdess and the Questing Beast (PMC55), Catalyst of Fate (OriginalAlcy), Parallel Lives (BeBus), and Unity (Lilitheris).
My Fav has been the Dark Energy Series so far. I enjoy the depth of the character that has been developed and I seem to be drawn to characters that have to overcome their own flaws to succeed.
Beyond that, I find that in-game, Liara has far too much self control for my taste. Especially when I'd like to throw her on the bed and strip her out of her lab coat as her father suggests. The fanfics help me fill in the blanks that the game tends to leave out, for me, anyway.

sorry, topless. Could someone fill in for me please?
