Alright, not sure if you guys are sick of hearing about my brother yet, but anyway...
He's just finished his first playthrough, tonight. Took him 7 hours total, rushing through like a madman.

He couldn't save Wrex on Virmire - not enough Paragon/Renegade, and he hadn't done "Wrex's Family Armour' so he was shot by Ashley. That cut him pretty deep - he liked Wrex - and I thought he was going to quit, but he pushed on with renewed hatred for Saren and the geth. He also wasn't pissed at Ashley, which I found strange.

Though he did sacrifice Ashley, I didn't think he would, men being slaves to boobs and all. I could swear he was tearing up at that point. He had no idea about the objectives that help him live, so Kirrahe was killed as well.

He also sacrificed the Council, which wasn't a decision I thought he'd make, and chose Anderson (thank f*ck) for Councillor. In the rubble scene, he thought he'd made a mistake and gotten Shepard killed, which was hilarious.

He didn't like the end credit song, even with me belting out "AND I NEEEEED YOU TO RECOVEEEER" so I had to smack him a little for that.
Now his biggest issue is whether he's going to romance Miranda or Squeaky Robot in ME2.

Sorry for all the non-Liara. I'm just enjoying this, and I'm not going to tell the Story/Campaign forum, thats for sure.
Hopefully I haven't bothered you too much.

For comparison my brother almost never does video game romances, not even when he played the ME games. He knows I like Liara, but he dosent really say much about it. He saw some of my wallpapers and made a weird face at one time, but I was like "yeah, I like Liara, Problem?" ;P

Btw, nice Comic Dragon Claw. I thought that was very funny:)

Also I like that picture at the top of the page with that 1950 ish looking alien Liara. It reminds me of back in the days of movies like Forbidden Planet with Robbie The Robot. I was so frightened by those invisible Krell monsters for years ;P (hey I was young )

@GT I think it's interesting to hear others playing ME. I'm replaying ME1 too. It will be my last time this year I think. I will delete it from my hard drive after this because I'm out of gb for new stuffs.

How did your brother manage to complete ME1 in 7 hours? My average playtime for an ME1 runthrough is about 32 hours. Did he only do the hub world missions?

Also I remember thinking I'd made a mistake and got Shepard killed too when there was all the rubble at the end. Worse was that I thought that if it was a scripted death, I would've tossed my xbox out the nearest airlock. 

Anyways, hearing about your brother's (mis)adventures is fun, especially since I can't bring myself to pick up SP at all ever again.

While enlightening about many things in the temple (and makes more sense for the fight between him and Liara) I actually prefer not bring him along, perhaps it is because of that way that it makes Liara look slow and akward, if there is someone else along Liara seems to come to the conclusions about Atheme more naturally.

Agreed. But, it's the majorities thoughts on Javik's best mission. I believe so anyway.

Javik in the ardat yakshi place is all right - think Liara burns him once in there. Thessia is where he has the most comments, but like akernis says - it does make Liara sound pretty derpy. I prefer the after fight on the Normandy though when you do take him along though. Aw well.

Not really. Javik is in no way relevant to the plot - if you don't bring him, the other squad member (even Vega) will get his lines instead.
In fact, I'd suggest not bringing him - the prothean cipher is the only thing that makes Shepard plot relevant, and if you take Javik it just hammers home that Shepard could have died on the Normandy SR1 without changing a thing. That's quality writing from Bioware.

Pretty much.  I'd rather drag, garrus along instead. or hell vega if I wanted someone new.  Or ash. (as useless as her abilites are - screw you bioware..)

Eh my PT she spent a lot of time in cover...no matter where I put her. She became a decoy. But I did not give her a revenant, *ponders* should I ever have the urge to play again, I shall do so.
